I have owned four mice, I love all of them and they loved me. They're not stupid, anyone how has had any interaction with mice or rats would know that. One of my mice would escape from her cage and just sit on top squeaking waiting for me, she would straight away run up my arm and sit on my shoulder. All my mice had different personalities, just like people do. They feel pain, just as we do. We are taking advantage of something that is unable to defend itself, and it's sick.

Elephants have identic lymbic systems to human beings(a center in the brain for processing emotion) which means they can experience emotion the same way we can. Drugs do not work on an animal the same way they work on a human. Want proof? Vioxx, Thalidomide,Benedectin,Zomax, Eraldin,Ibufenac and countless other drugs have tested safe on animals and ended up killing or harming people. Animal testing is pointless.

I totally agree that alternatives should be used instead of animal testing. But be careful with those images that you see in shocking videos : they're not always reality -- they're chosen to shock you (for ex, the lady laughing in the video could be laughing of something totally unrelated to the animal in her arms. The animals in cages maybe were in a vet basement, missing and waiting for their owners to take them back after their holiday)
I don't care that PETA sometimes doesn't have the best way of selling things. They still have a really good motive and they're helping create a better future for animals.

Test isn't even honest with relying on tea extracts forced rather than simply giving them absolutely nothing else to drink, with a tiny bit of lemon and sugar, the way many people in the real world would drink it, to see the effects. I'm not justifying a lesser cruel path, but seems to be more testing for using tea in a supplemental pill form than reliable info about the tea itself as a drink, if they're going to rely on such extreme methods to give them "extracts." What are extracts anyway???
Testing experimental drugs on animals to see if they'll cause a problem or treat one is one thing, but not testing drinks, makeup, and cigarettes on them. That's ludicrous!

I totally agree that alternatives should be used instead of animal testing. But be careful with those images that you see in shocking videos : they're not always reality -- they're chosen to shock you (for ex, the lady laughing in the video could be laughing of something totally unrelated to the animal in her arms. The animals in cages maybe were in a vet basement, missing and waiting for their owners to take them back after their holiday)

@dragaki : False. There are a lot of other efficient alternatives, not more expensive, to test products, as cell culture, tissue regineering and computer simulation. According to me, animal testing should be used as a last resort, and should be the less painful possible.

There's a generation of Christians being raised up that'll put a total stop to all of this. Jeremiah 31_27-28 says animals are seed of Abraham & they have rights w/God through the Hosea 2_18 Covenant that are on par w/the Biblical Covenantal rights of Christians. (Avoiding using colons on Scripture references 'cause UTube's bad about dissing 'em, though spammers w/certain software seem to get 'em through.) Romans 8_21 is clear. All of these animals enter into the liberties of the children of God

Test isn't even honest with relying on tea extracts forced rather than simply giving them absolutely nothing else to drink, with a tiny bit of lemon and sugar, the way many people in the real world would drink it, to see the effects. I'm not justifying a lesser cruel path, but seems to be more testing for using tea in a supplemental pill form than reliable info about the tea itself as a drink, if they're going to rely on such extreme methods to give them "extracts." What are extracts anyway???

Testing experimental drugs on animals to see if they'll cause a problem or treat one is one thing, but not testing drinks, makeup, and cigarettes on them. That's ludicrous!

@guillem89 Animal testing can be very inconclusive. A drug that works on an animal can harm a human. A good example is the drug thalidomide, which was supposed to prevent morning sickness in pregnant women. It worked wonderfully on mice, but caused horrible birth defects in humans. Penicillin is harmful to many rodents, but works wonders on humans! Testing on animals is cruel and it DOES NOT help the medical industry It gives misleading information and slows process.
