  • Numan: ground to play and modulate for the future.

  • This whole album is just FUCKING brilliant!

  • A fucking ICON in the MAKING!!!.... This "early" Numan/Tubeway Army is fucking BRILLIANT!!!...

  • Roche 5 + a 6 pack = 7 th heaven. Just make sure you have 8 first or you will be very sick. In some way that has something to do with 9. It's in-10se.

  • Tubeway Army at their very best.........

  • Reminds me of school, one of the 1st albums I ever owned. I still listen to this now.

  • well i never knew that jamestrex! there were loads of lyrics i used to walk round the house singing that i never really understood!! the army were very underestimated and if it was in todays time then there would be so much press and pr about them. supberb

  • Ahh the memories,,, Here am I more "Roche 5 than pain" (I was on valium at the time, on the pill says "Roche 5" ) Brings it all back, superb Gary.

  • Lock my door, I only think in black and white...I'll even try to look ashamed..

  • ha my yoof ,not heard this for years ,great album ,reminds me of my home town glasgow, thanks for posting it

  • I never tire of listening to this album or Replicas. The sad thing is, Gary doesn't get near anywhere near enough credit for his pioneering style. I don't think we would have had half of the music talent this country has produced in the last 30 years without him. Genius. Knight him! Arise Sir Gary!!!!!

  • Got this album when it came out in 78,wow great memories listening to it,still holds up well today, better than solo work apart from Jagged, wish he did more work with the Army back then, thanks for putting this album up on here, enjoyed listening to it again after all these years.

  • things werent happening in the prevous band, so gary numan and paul gardiner took over and formed Tubeway army, this was their 1st album

  • I feel like this all the time

  • my favourite song

  • I bought this album in 1979

  • I often wonder if The Knack ever heard this song?

  • Now this is the version, I remember and favour! Numan is God!

  • @numanboy

I'd love to disagree with this, but you appear to be correct.

I honestly swear, if bowie and newman where the same people, they'd be god.

  • These guys do a great job of covering Numan

  • @CurvyCreature Numan was in this band...this isn't a cover.

  • this song will live on yea man yea

  • I don't like it.....

    I LOVE IT!

  • so those skips at the end are supposed to be there, "my sh- in vain", always thought my copy was messed up.

  • stroll to the cafe

    my god how time flies

    i close up my brain

    and another friend dies

  • My Shadow In Vain My Shadow In Vain My Shadow In Vain My Shadow In Vain My Shadow In Vain
