  • I thought this was titled "Install a Glass Tile Backsplash." Why aren't they showing how to cut actual glass tiles and how to work around inside and outside corners? This was no help to me at all.

  • She has horrible technique. You should put your grout diagonally across the tile and "push" it into the joint.

  • Thanks!

  • Is it a good choice to install a backsplash right to drywall? Shouldn't it be some type of backer board?

  • @feeney3co Glass and ceramic tile can be mounted directly to the drywall. Backerboard is only required in wet locations such as showers.

  • how about art glass tiles , not boring..!

Check out timelesstiles website You'll love these artisanal glass beauties

  • rub a wet fingertip over the caulk..

  • The problem with the internet is that there is no accountability. You can say whatever you want without any sort of visible repercussions. Most of you wouldnt type have the crap that you say in person. Cheers for being high class, 12 year-olds!

  • Personally, I like videos that take the time to really show the "how-to's" of using the small tools like she did with the tile cutter. It was very informative and I know for sure I can do this! She showed a basic wall, no prep really, and made it look do-able for most people. I am a newbie, a beginner, and I loved this video!! Going out to get my tile...!

  • Remeber, Always wet your finger and run it along the caulk :D

  • Always critics every where you go. This was a how to video, a quick video for those of us learning. I thought she did a good job. It was easy to follow along and the presenter was clear and concise.

  • Can you install these mosaic smaller squares over exhisting tile

  • yay i love squeeze up use a mastic trowel or else!!!!!

  • Thank you for the guide. It looks like something I could do!

  • what happened to the outlet?

  • very ugly and poor workmanship

  • Found this really useful - thank you.

  • I think it looks great. The lines on the tiles were a mosaic look, not the uniform straight look where you would use the little spacers. This is supposed to be bohemian looking, not formal. I would be happy with that in my kitchen

  • Its sad to see that people really think that instal tile is this easy leave the work for someone that knows what its doing

  • LOL a 4:46...just use a wet fingertip to smooth the c@ck haha

  • @cw8307 I laughed my ass of when she said that

  • Helpful video but only thing I would add is a list of supplies that we would need to do this process

  • What a Joke. She is not a tilesetter. I like the way she handled that garbage tile cutter.

  • 4:51 ..ha ha

  • Actually, a wet finger tip works quite well for caulk.

  • Msjj I want to do this in fact I will this, looks easy thanks for the video.

  • I thought it was a very basic, BUT useful video, considering beginners.

  • @Neseri2de LOL!!

  • @Neseri2de LoL!!

  • awful

  • never use mastic for glass tiles, it has a hard time adhering to the non porous surface of the glass and it has a tendency to change color over time. You should really only use a white latex fortified thinset, the 2 part mix is the best.

  • Well done! I wasn't questioning whether or not I would be wasting my time and money after watching this video. I feel confident that this is a home project that I can do and actually enjoy doing it! Thank You!!!!!

  • heh, they teach just enough to be dangerous, same as "home depot "tile classes". Tile looked bad enough, and the video and lighting hide a LOT. If you were to see that installation in person you'd be shocked at how bad it was. *sigh*.

People just aren't willing to pay for quality craftsmanship anymore. :(

  • Must be nice not to have to make cuts. Boring design.

  • HAHA, did you see how crooked the tiles were in the beginning of that video? And yes, it should be a v-notched trowel.

  • im pretty sure that's not the right trowel to be using. i think it needs to be v notched.

  • can you cut a glass tile to butt up to an outlet?

  • @lulurickert

you can't cut around an outlet with a snap cutter. you'll need a wet saw and someone who actually knows how to install tile. yes you can abute glass to an outlet

  • run a wet finger to smooth the caulk?
