Cornish Nationalism died during the economic crisis. Reality had to be faced up to - unless you vote MK or post on some of the nuttier websites like Cornwall 24 lol.
I find it so frustrating that these films are out of reach!
I'd love so much to be able to see Cornish films outside of the film festial but it seems that they get one moment of glory and disappear forever and that's incredibly sad!
I dont think my point was to make cornish nationalism aggressive, as you say quite rightly it isn't. The film is highlighting the rippling effect the debate has in the films made in Cornwall. Had I more time and money I would have included examples from Straw Dogs and Doomwatch. As for the dark look, thats just how I roll.

What is that map at the beginning? We don't need to antagonise people from Devon, by annexing their county, we don't want it anyway...
mawkernewek 3 years ago
my error. I liked this map more when I was doing the post, then I relised "shit thats Devon too"

I don't have anything against people from Devon though the map makes Cornish Nationalism look aggressive when it really isn't. :-)

This is lovely, refreshing and inspiring.
The makers of ths films need to have a larger presence on Youtube so that other Cornish or English people in Cornwall can see it.
At the moment it seems that Cornish cinema is hidden from view, onl to be taken out once a year for the film festival.

Thanks for the kind words. There is so much good film work done in Cornwall and it needs recognition.
