But I think Rosario was trying to be somewhat sweeter with Mimi's quips in the song, especially the father line. Renee wasn't afraid to be more sarcastic and it made it work. Her Mimi was more intimidating, watch her face when he asks who April is, and then when he says her name. She's like 'oh, God, he's gonna start talking about her-wuick, blow out the candle, Mimi!"
