  • Hey guys, I just got my SP10 and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the unsharpened area close to the tip is asymmetrical? meaning that on one of the sides more metal has been taken away than on the other side, close to the tip. I want to know if is part of the design or I got a defective item, i would really appreciate you help, thank you in advance!

  • @chechoep Hey mate, cheers for watching, iv just checked my and mine is pretty much asymmetrical, the left hand side is a little more 'deeper" than the other side, if your worried about it contact Ontario, they have good customer service. best wishes and be safe

  • thank you very much for the help friend, great review

  • i have one, it's a bad mother. It will last forever, you will give it to your kids.

  • recently purchased this knife, and I was wondering what type of oil do you use to keep it from rusting?

  • Excellent review, thank you for sharing

  • Great review many thanks. It's helped me make up my mind about what new knife to buy for camping. I liked the torch as wel I think I'll check it out. Keep the videos coming.

  • How would this knife fit in xl hands you think?

  • ive used mine almost every for a year eitehr to chop and do work or just throw around and have fun, my knife has almost none of the black coat on it but the edge is still strong and so is the tip and its still ready to rock and roll

  • Great knife! I've used one for a good bit now.....and definitely my favorite large blade.

  • Hi Dishy! That's a gond one for chasing off the flies, eh?

    ;o) Cheers mate, Tim

  • great video awesome info thank you for sharing

  • @jaw0404 Thanks very much bro, glad u enjoyed it, take care

  • Congrats on the first knife review , well done. I've got a few Ontario knives and really love the quality and value. I refer a drop point blade, also as a leftie I need a sheath that can take the knife left or right. So I recently got an Ontario SP43, and I just love it! Worth a look when you are needing your next fixed blade fix :) Glad you're loving the knife, BTW how hard do you find it importing knives? Also do the freight/custom costs outweigh the cheaper US prices?

  • @AussieMark909 Hey bro, yer the SP-43 is on my list, i have had no issue importing fixed blades at all and with folders, it depends on the customs inspectors, but generaly all good. Yer shipping costs can be a bugger, i just shop around to find the cheapest store to offer online and/or send emails asking if they can do a special international shipping cost, again it tends to work out a hell of a lot cheaper than buying from a store localy. cheers for watching and the great comment, take care.

  • Dish, great video. I also have the SP10 and it's pretty awesome as a bushcraft chopper/splitter plus for the price I don't have to baby it as much as my CS Trail Master. Personally, I think it's a better outdoors blade than the Trail Master/RTAK II/Junglas....the only downside for me living in the Pacific NW-US is the sheath, the climate here is not very dry and a kydex sheath would have been better. Anyways cheers! Hopefully the ESEE drama is behind everyone!

  • @ratgurk Thank you very much RG, yer one of the main reasons for get the SP-10 was the cheapish price and it can take a beating!, have to agree the sheath is the only real dwn point with the blade and yes i think ESEE will be sorting it out with Nutn', cheers for watching and the great comment, stay safe bro.

  • Sweet vid Dish! I really liked it when you grabbed that 2nd baton! That's my kind of "get with it" stick...lol.

  • @Patriot36 Hey bro, hahha yer had to upgrade the baton! glad u enjoyed, im heading out again in the next cple of days with my daughter for more camping, hope to have more vids up soon, cheers brother take care.

  • @patruick94 Cheers mate, u will totaly digg it, a great blade for the price.. glad to have helped u in ur choice =] take care.

  • Thanks for the review on this. I was looking into getting the Ontario marine raider or the k-bar heavy bowie. I am a big fan or Esee knives but they do not have a bowie design. If you where going to buy one yourself witch one would it be?

  • @marshbre28 Hey MB28, both MR and the HB are great bang for buck blades, i just have a thing for the MR, the best place for price and service is Ontario-Knife-Store(dot)com (thats where i got mine) one of the cheapest prices going(around the $45-$48 mark) and they cover all the Ontario range (Rat1 for $19.94 for eg.) hope that helps and cheers for watching bro =]

  • @marshbre28 soz bro i got carry away there, u were asking which one would i buy and it would have to be the MR, its a freaking hand sword! the HB is a sweet blade but last boyscout has broken one yet i have Never heard of a MR breaking, the ESSEE range are outstanding but u pay for the greatness, so personaly MR for me!

  • @TheDishD Thanks bro! It's the MR for me too. Side by side it looks like a better blade and I have never had any problems with Ontario knives myself. I just saw that k-bar video and was a little disappointed. Thanks for the reply and your input.

  • Nice review dish

  • @Cr0cket20 Thank you Crocket, glad u enjoyed it, best wishes to u and urs and stay safe my friend

  • That is a scary looking knife. I would never bring a knife to a gun fight, but I had to bring any knife, it would be that one!!!

  • @AmericasTopRifle Sup ATR! thank's for watching bro, hell yer i would not want to come up against it, best bang/slash for buck blade i could find! hope all is good with u, not long to go for ur 1911, we need a vid when u pick it up, take care brother.

  • Now that's a knife lol! Great vid. I am going camping soon. I need to remember to bring my camera and shoot some footage. Keep up the good work bro.!

  • @GUNQUEST21 Cheers GQ21, oh sweet i look forward to some footage! thanks mate il do my best, take care.

  • Hey Dish, I appreciate this review my friend, out of all I own, this is the area I am lacking, I need a good survival / bush knife. Looks like a good one, great job

  • @brotherskeepers111 G'day BK, thank u very much sir, every man has to have a good big ol' blade and this one is a great high value option, again cheers bro, be safe .

  • Dishy, dude! Nice review. Wow, I want one, lol. Yeah, the shoe strings have to go. Cool tip about the light on the cap! PFI is such a great guy.

  • @drzmanproject Hey DrZ!! thank you very much, ha yer they do the job but not very "tacticool" =] and yes PFI is a stand up bloke, cheers for checking it out, best wishes to u and urs, hpe all is good, take care DrZ

  • These are much better knives than their "RAT" brand. Love my Ontario SP50, had some problems with the edge chipping out though in really cold weather (-35). Although you may not have to worry abou that. :) Good looking video too. Keep up the great work!

  • @Glockster42 Cheers G42, Ontario just make great blades at good prices, ha yer dont see temps that cold here! thank you for ur kind words, stay safe stay warm my freind

  • Great review Dishy! I'm on the market for a good bushwhacking/survival blade and that could be the one. I really like the RAT II but it is a bit pricey.

  • @DangerCL0SE Thanks DC! the RAT is a great blade but yes expensive, the Sp-10 is one of the best high value choppers around if u can get ur hands on one b4 u buy i bet u will love it. let us knw how u go, take care bro.

  • Cool light hat trick. That raider indeed looks pretty tough. How do you think it went for batoning? An where did you get all that grey hair? You've got to be at least 5 years younger than me. Don't tell me it's the stress; I have that coming out my ears. The sheath looks good. Any problems with retaining moisture in it? God bless you friend.

  • @sabr686 Dear Sabr, trust my Canadian brother to spot the greys!, haha i blame my daughter (jkes), lets just say i had an "adventuresome" time in my younger days (which im pay'n 4 now) =] On the baton'n as long as u rotate the club and keep an eye on, it's outstanding, but it does cut the club. Sheath its leather backed, keep that fairly dry, no prob's. but drop it in the river or sorm style rain, need to dry it out ASAP, thank u my dear brother, hope all is good, best wishes stay safe

  • Very nicely done !

  • @krazy45cat Thank you K45K, much room for improvement, but cheers and hope ur recovery is going smoothly bro take care.

  • Now thats a knife.

  • @sailingmanuel Ha Yes it is.. u should show ur biggest blade bro (and not the 1 in ur pants, toothpicks dont count haha) cheers for checking out the vid, take care mate |+I+I+I+| KB

  • Hey Dishy, awesome review on the SP-10. That is one wicked looking bowie knife! Looks like it performed really well for you, so good in fact that it broke your baton lol. Top notch vid my friend, looking forward to more in the future.

  • @ColinOutdoors G'day Col! thank you very much (not a patch on your reveiws but cheers) ha yer it did munt the baton but that was after beening used for 1/2 tree's worth of splitting so i shd have changed the baton ha live and learn my freind, yes more to come take care brother.

  • "Thats not a KNIFE." Sorry Mate I had to. OK enough of my silly foolishness, the Ontario knives are greatness. I'm looking at the RAT's myself. Sweet camp set up you guys have there. And cheers to your lil one, spectacular camera work. Looks like your making future YT's your self.

  • @TacticalHadoken haha very true brother, i knw i wouldnt want to be on the sharp end of one. cheers brother, hope all is well with you and yours stay safe my freind.

  • Great review Dishy! I really like this blade. It just looks mean! I almost bought one last summer but was afraid the back cut would tear up the baton quickly. However it looks like it works. Thanks for this useful review. Kudos to your little girl for the camera work. Looks like a great campsite. I met and talked to PFI dude last Saturday at the gun show btw. He is just a very nice and genuine guy.

  • @SnowLobo95 Hey Snowy, cheers brother, trust me get urself one outstanding blade for the price, oh kool that u meet PFIdude, he seems to be a straight up guy glad thats true, pls say a lil prayer for my fellow Aussie's in the North who are suffering the worst floods in 35 years, water levels are now at 22 meters in depth, my family up there has been evac's and their home has been washed away along with many many others its a very bad situ up there atm. cheers brother stay safe.

  • carbon steel is my fave by far. how about you?

  • @jhynesyahoo hey bro, yer for this style of blade 1095 carbon steel is the best, holds a great edge, easy to re-sharpen and if looked after pretty good rust resistance, take care mate.
