  • The A340-600 have 2 decks?

  • does the -300 have the same cabin economy and first?

  • @TheAnonymousAspie The A330 is not louder than any other modern aircraft, exept the A380. In the last days we had 3times an A330 and 1time a B773. The A330 was not louder then the B773. Be happy with the A330, the USCarriers will fly their B767 problably to next century :-). By the way it is normal that some aircrafts replaces the former ones. It was the same with the 747, the L1011 and the DC10, they replaced the B707, the DC8 and the C990 which were beautyful aircraft for that time.

  • I was on a 9 hour flight from Gatwick to Charlotte with US Airways, the plane had in flight entertainment, and i still went nuts, i could only imagine the suicidal thoughts going through your mind. My plane was terribly delayed (about 2 hours) then i had a connection to Orlando after. the televisions beside me and in front were all broken, so i was lucky, LOL. The connection we missed because of first flight delay...

  • why is there stairs in an A340 600?

  • what is that weird wall feature at 0:08 in the middle? That cuts the row in half.

  • @myrnaloysboy I think that is where you go down to the lower level. The reason That'd be there is because all the bathrooms are on the lowest level.

    I could be wrong.

  • Better than 777-300ER

  • @KatiushaVN4 never no way

  • @ikolkyo967

Actually 777-300 ER is pretty good, but this plane is just awesome....probably better than 777-300ER, I think.

(I flew with 777-300ER many times)

  • @KatiushaVN4 777-300er is much better and smoother than the a340. Boeing 777-300ER forever

  • @ikolkyo967 No, its not..... The cabin of the a340 is much quieter. I've been on both. Have you??...

  • @mirot1987 Yes i have and i think 777 is much more quieter then the A340 on take off at cruising and smooth landings. GE90 is quieter

  • @ikolkyo967 We travel a lot as a couple, so therefore all the 330/340 are much better for us because all airlines they fit them with 2-4-2 seat configuration. If you fly the 777 you allways have these uncomfortable 3-3-3 seat configuration which make people with claustrophobia crazy!

  • @zurbscu The seating configuration depends on the airline not the plane.

  • @ikolkyo967 I never said something different - see my other comments to this topic - of course the seat configurations depends on the airline, but have you ever seen a 777 with a 2-4-2 configuration? All the 777 have at minimum a 3-3-3 configuration, some of them are changing now (or from the beginning like EK) to 3-4-3. This reduces the seat width again and as I explained it is more comfy for my wife to seat on the C seat on a 330/340 at the isle to leave the seat whenever she want.

  • @zurbscu Well in my opinion 777 has better seating then the A340. airlines are not going to make a profit. These days airlines want to squeeze. the most amount of seats they can on their planes. The Seat width is on the type of seats they use not the airplane. I don't wan't this to turn into a Huge fight. so in your opinion A340 is better. My opinion the 777 is better.

  • @ikolkyo967 I also not want a huge fight... If you find the 777 plane better, it is your decission. But only think about when you travel with a partner with claustrophobia! Then certainly your choice will falling on a plane and airline with 2-4-2 configuration. And then of course you have normally only Airbus wide bodies. The 777, the 747 and the A380 (except SQ in the back of the upper deck) are fitted with any airline with a 3 seats row on both side of the plane.

  • wow

  • nice

  • Theres no windows in the lower deck crew rest ?

  • I like the Lufthansa cabin very much!

  • Had one of you ever had the pleasure to fly with iberia a340-300 ? i was on trip to santo domingo from madrid. it was the most horrible flight i ever had. seats were damaged, there was no seat entertaiment. thay had shown one film during the hole flight on 3 monitors. it stunk a lot in this plane, so that you noticed: this airplane is really old. and neither to take off the pilot was able. there clapped down 2 or 3 times while take off the front weal. NEVER AGAIN; BUT I HAVE TO!

  • Comment removed

  • hmmm when did the lcd monitor cames in, at 2007 i didnt see that monitors where i flought to the philippines

  • will fly with them soon so i will let you know

  • töll_lêÛtÉ_sûcht_mÅl_ñach:_olikohle_áÛf_gø0glË_vÒll_géíl

  • oh i saw the title now and i get it...it's lower deck for crew rest :)

  • i believe A340 is not a double Decker plane so why do we see the cameraman going downstairs? can anyone plz explain to me?

  • @SaiyedSarawaN airbus provides an option for A340-600 user to put the lavatories and crew rest on the lower deck (cargo deck)

  • wait is this plane 2 storys

  • You know, I really don't like Airbus aircraft, especially the A330 and A340. They're cramped, with narrow seats and aisles (the width of these planes is such that you can BARELY shoehorn in a 2-4-2 configuration- and the airlines DO, rather than make it a 3-3-3, and make wider seats and aisles).

In contrast, many Boeings happen to be a width that allows for generous seat and aisle width, but not enough to squish in an additional seat.

  • @ejdf870 i would check your facts on this one. the A330 and 340 both have wider fusealages than 767. more modern design, much more modern elctronics, the only plane that Boeing make that can conpare is the 777. which is a superb plane.

  • @jamesgreen456 I'll concede this much: the 747 is one Boeing aircraft that allows companies to shoehorn in a 3-4-3 configuration, which is cramped.

On the airbus side: the a330, a340, and (if I remember right) the ancient a300 are the planes with cramped cabins and seating configs.

The 777 (at least every one I'VE been on) has a generous cabin with generous seats and aisles.

  • @ejdf870 it will depend on the operator as to seating configurations. but airbus widebody aircraft are wider than boeing as a rule, i have been on most aircraft from 330 to 340 to 747 777, been cramped on all and others have been really good. i flew to thailand on thai airlines 34 inch economy and back from singapore on singapore airlines with 36 inch. there are not many modern Bad planes.

  • @ejdf870 First the A330/340 are a littler bit more narrow than the 747/777. Second it is the airlines which decided seat pitch and seat configuration. But one advantage has the A330/340. You have allways a seat configuration of 2-4-2. When you fly the 777 there are airlines with 3-3-3 (which is unplesant for a couple) which is okay, but there are also airlines with 3-4-3, like Emirates. And some other airlines started with changing the middle area to 4 seats instead of 3! That is really crampy!

  • @ejdf870 Fly an 772 or 773 on Emirates. They squeeze a fourth seet in the middle row, contrary to Singapore Airlines. It has nothing to do with the aircraft, it is the airlines decission how they fit their aircraft.

  • I would love to be part of Lufthansa's A340 cabin crew in the future.

  • Dont know what the problem is i flew onboard the A340-600 from Frankfurt to Osaka a couple of days ago and the service was waaaay better than that of Ba or AF (On a BA 747 to Tokyo and the AF A380 from Tokyo) and at 1,90m the seats were quite nice wont mind flying lufthansa again. As for the 747-400 since they will be replaced by A380's and 747-8's why would the upgrade their cabin since they will leave the fleet anyway

  • @larsvos4 great comment!

    I share your opinion!

  • at least 747 8 is coming thumbs up if u agree

  • Wow!!!

  • Man, you could hav walked through more calmly! That would be helped more me to choose a right seat from online check in for this aircraft :)

  • The first time that descent the stairs for lower lavatories, i thought it was a smoking area for the entire flight.

I was wrong and left smokeless.lol

  • I really love Lufthansa, but I can't stand the Airbusses. They have cabin pressure problems that sometimes make me think my ears just might explode.

  • so everyone, or i guess economy, has to walk downstairs to use the lavatories? does this apply to all a340-600s?

  • wait sec airbus 340-600 do not have a 2 floor

  • @BlueEmotionTV

the first and business class screens are so small! almost looking like 6X6! I´m sorry but I would not call it good at all! Only the new first class has bigger screens but this is only available on their A380, business class still the old one on their A380 which means if u fly lufthansa you have to wait for a long long time till their new business class will be released and installed in their aircrafta, same for their new first class!

  • do virgin atlantic have the same config?

  • POOR AIR HOSTESS THEY NEED A FIRST CLASS FOR THEMSELF FOR SLEEP WELL

  • i never knew that there was a lower deck for pilots to rest cool i knoe the 777-300 has a hidden upper deck but is cramped this has lots of room nice vid

  • man you walk fast

  • @binisch Well,we alll have our opinion.

I love Lufthansa ,been a lover of them for a looong time :)

But yeah ,you have a point ,about the service onboard ,some of the airline company ,for instance ,United Airlines-- ,there ,you have a terrible service onboard.

Not sure if you ever travelled with united ,or not ...but its not as good as LH or SAS for instance ..well that is just some of the airliners ...i think the best service has to go to Singapore airlines or thai or Asiana airlines ..

  • @Gallygoy

totally agree with you. that´s why i choose SIA and Emirates. so much better!

  • Try their 747 from San Francisco to Frankfurt, they (LUFHTHANSA) flies the worst and oldest 747 in the world for the 10 hour long flight, with torn carpets, no overhead air and no in-seat entertainment, yet they charge you an arm and an leg for their 40 years old 747. Don't fly their 747, its old and you go nuts for not having anything to watch.

  • @CEOTerminator AGREE 100% and you forgot to mention the inhuman seat pitch - and just Try getting to the isle from the window seat . I stopped flying LH economy 4 years ago. Try SWISS next time .

  • @17addidas guess who owns swiss?

  • @17addidas well you´re right, the funny thing is, that swiss is also lufthansa and they have better services than lufthansa, but lufthansa is now working on their problems and try to fix them....

  • @17addidas newly delivered planes have in seat entertainment and LH is fitting it on all their planes

  • @17addidas Hi, Does Swiss Air still operate? I used to treasure flying them First Class from Zurich to Dallas years ago. Thanks.

  • @TheMediaman6 No Swissair is not operating since the financial colaps in 2001, they started under new name called Swiss International Airlines. It was certainly an extraordinary experience flying First Class with Swissair at this time, but unfortunately Swissair has never serviced Dallas...

  • @17addidas lufthansa put in 7 747s new seats and new first class :) now 747 has the same standard like the airbus fleet!

  • @CEOTerminator Get a hold of yourself, if you are a real plane entousiast ,love the flying ? i dont think you bother sitting 10hours + on a 747 ...belive it ..i have done that flight myself ...and there is plenty to do on a 747,you just gotta be creative ,and eat ,drink ,watch movies ,sleep ,....dont be so heelppless!!!..

You love flying or not ? ,...Still after watching the 380 ...maan i gotta say ..i want that as bad too..

  • @Gallygoy I am a plane entousiast myself and after chossing Airlines by my first priotity which is `safety` , I love Airlines who focus in doing it back `like in the old days` when flying was about comfort, service and something very special. There are Airlines which are successful in getting that spirit back. But LH is unfortunately not one of them, from my point of view.

  • @CEOTerminator i agree man. but lufthansa will start flying their A380s into San Fransisco. but i hate the 747. a343 and a346 and a333 are the best!

  • @CEOTerminator

Now Lufthansa will use their A380 daliy from Frankfurt to San Francisco. This will be a totally different experience.

  • @CEOTerminator boeing sucks lol

  • @elmunxa your mom does 2

  • @CEOTerminator Is the flight at least NON-Stop?

  • @CEOTerminator That's not true. I've been flying LH for years and I'm one of their Frequent Flyers. It can happen that sometimes you find a/c with old equipment but LH is one of the mot succesful airlines in the world. I had your same problem with BA and they are way dearer than LH, their food is crap and connection from where I live are a nightmare because half of their flights arrive in LGW insted of LHR...

  • @CEOTerminator i heard in a few months like in may or june all those 747's will be going for the scraps and the A380 will be replacing them.

  • While I agree that airlines could update their older aircraft with PTV's and such, there is a cost factor to doing all of this. If the aircraft are close to 20 years old and will be leaving the fleet in a few years, I can understand why from and economics point of view why this was not done.

  • @76ARZ This is also the reason while many european passengers choose european airlines. Zurich for example is serviced by DL, AA, CO, UA and US and all of them are coming with their old B767. They could only fill their plane because they offer a price which is $200 or more lower than Swiss which uses the brand new A333 to the most of the US destinations (exept LAX and SFO). And the service of the US airlines is far away from a servie like QR, SQ, CX etc...

  • @CEOTerminator I can't wait for their 747-8 Intercontinentals to be in service.

  • @CEOTerminator

Ok, inflight entertainment on the 747/400 of LH might not be up to date, but they are soon getting 20 new 747 8i and by the way not one 747/400 they are operating is 40 years old as all of those aircraft were delivered in the 90s and later.

  • @CEOTerminator worst major airline flight route ever is toronto to london with BritishAirways, I have had the displeasure of flying Iran Air and Iran Air was better BA is literally the same 757 since I was 2 years old they didn't change shit! Over the Atlantic in December, also one of the entertainment systems under the seat started filling the cabin with smoke a womans ugg boot fur got stuck in the fan lol, long story short update that shit, Middle Eastern operators are the best, newest fleets

  • @CEOTerminator i agree its probably pretty nasty, but it'd be pretty cool being inside the oldest 747, right?

  • @CEOTerminator Now its way better because they fly the A380 SFO-FRA!!

  • @CEOTerminator Lufthansa actually just refurbished their 747's, ptv's in economy too now, which is fitted on the same new Recaro seats they have in the A380

  • @CEOTerminator Oh you won't say that with the 747-8 and the one you might have been on it when the old interior and older seats where on their 747s.

  • which airport is it at ?

  • wtf it has a nother deck a340 is singled deck atleast thats what i think

  • @Vorox144 u are corect, it has one passenger deck, every plane has somethin down lower, and since this plane is huge, it has crew rest areas, so on flights over 8 hours, at least in the US, pilots have to change crews, since its against the regulations to fly more than 8 hours in one day. and storage for food and drinks and stuff is also down ther, and areas for the no pilot crew members, like flight attendance and flight engineers, and possibly even acces to the luggage compartments.

  • @Vorox144 also, some planes have small elevators, but this one has stairs since its so damn big.

  • stairs in a a340?

  • @MostAwsomeGuyEver

the A340 has its main kitchen, bathrooms and resting ares for the crew in the "belly" of the plane. thats why they have stairs

  • i m surprised!!!!! what is stair 4???? as far as i know..its a single deck aircraft..

then why the stair ?? 00.37

  • @Armankhair it's crew sleeping/resting quarters

  • how come i saw you walking down a stairs when there isn't an upper deck?

  • @andrewf01134 Lufthansa put the economy class lavatories downstairs (essentially the cargo area - below the main seating deck) on their A340-600s, to free up more space for seats. The crew rest area is also down there.

  • it's so cool that the bathrooms are down stairs (gives you something to do) xD

I've flown on this airbus and it's cool

    nice vid!

  • i must say those seats are pretty nice but i also hear that this plane is very loud am i wrong or right?

  • @figure261

well the engines of a a340 make a very characteristic sound.

but they are not really louder than any other plane.

  • I hope that I would one day working in these planes :)

  • I hope that I would one day working in these planes :)

  • where exactly is that set of stairs located ??

  • @jbjetairways you see at 0:08 there is a wall on the right side that is where the stairs are located

  • Great video. We don't get to see the crew quarter very often. I had no idea there were bunks down there. I thought it was just a kitchen.

  • 2-3-2 is that it?! I was cramped on an A330-200 with 3-3-3

  • @adamski895RS Take a closer look. It's 2-4-2

  • @Scandinavian92 Aww my bad.

  • what an elegant bird.

  • wow so many sit their be kill if plane crash

  • claustrofobic lower dek...

  • Airbus a 340-600 is my favorite plane. In my opinion is the most comfortable aircraft ever build.

  • @MrRobertoFly have you tried Boeing 777?

  • @cybermariano Yes I have, it's also nice and comfortable ;) but I just can't wait for Boeing 787. It's goint to be something complety different!!!

  • @MrRobertoFly Of course. B777 is a great plane, but it's 16 years old. There are many new developments and improvements in the last years that will make B787 a great plane.

  • @cybermariano i have flown 777-747-767-330-345-346- and lately a380, i must say the most comfortable plane ever is A380 it so quiete and comfortable that u almost dnt hear the engines during the fly

  • a340? how cn it be a340 with stairs? An invisible uppder deck :D

  • @JaredzzC seems u never flown a 346 befro, yes there is stairs to the basement!! toiletes and crews-rest.beds

  • @lauriersroses333 I know.. i neva flown one b4 im too young and i wud probably crash the plane with my 10% knowledge abouut planes lol... anyway yeah ik... i want to go in a346 theyre one of ma beast aircraft... they are big beasts.. such beautys :D and ty for comment

  • @JaredzzC ok ic :) yes a346 it the most beautiful plane, after the CONCORDE hehe but concorde are not in the sky anymore,it sad:( 340-600 it huge plane yes,i have flown it befor, awesome plane, hope u will some day hehe good luck and tkx for reply

  • Do economy class seats have Screens in the seats?

  • @HopHipRocker yeah

  • Man, sign you up for the olympics. You ran thru that sucker faster than Carl Lewis!

  • So do you work for Lufthansa ? because if you don't, u are not supposed to be on the crew rest area downstaris, a big no no. and you should not film this while crew is not on board, not good. If you do work for lufthnasa you should know better now to upload this especalyy showing crew rest area.

  • umm how does an A340 have a lower deck???

  • @MrLex97 All A340's have options for it. Its between the wins on the same level as the cargo deck.

  • @MrLex97 All A340's have options for it.

Its on the same level as the cargo deck and between the wings.

  • @MrLex97 Lots of wide-body jets have 2 decks, not just the 747 and a380.

  • @MrLex97

The A340-600 have toilets down there, no passenger seats. A340-300 doesnt have the lower deck.

  • i never flew on that airbus 340-600... so how it,s like to be on that aircraft...the airbus a 380 is the best aircarft so far,,,,

  • HUGE ASS HOTEL on a plane man they should start charging people for over night stays on this thing nt just the flights

  • looks cheap

  • @Corinne6531 waths your problem i think you looks cheap...not lufthansa!

  • @23961alex

Uuuuuuu, you get so mad just because of my commentar ! Lufthansa is scheisse or r u a drinkschubse of Lufthansa ? Well whatever ?

  • I'm so use to always traveling with American airlines old cabin interior that I'm surprised they could look this modern

  • Wow it looks like one of the newer planes... OBVIOUSLY.

  • didnt know that an A340 had a lower deck.......

  • Airbus did something wrong. They should not make all the seats really together. Passenger won't have enough space to move their feet is going to be a horrible flight! .....

  • Gutes Vido.

  • OK wtf. Back in 2006 when we were onboard a Lufthansa A346 they didn't have tv screens on the back of their headrests. It was a transatlantic flight too. HOU-FRA LH752

  • so many seats in a so tight room x)

  • In my opininon you shouldn`t expose those things at the public place like YT.

I`m sure your superviser wouldn`t be happy that all people know where the crew sleep etc.

  • @kellytim1 Why is that bad?

  • @kellytim1 well.. but its not a private property of cabin crew.. Above A346 belongs to Lufthansa company so why would be it wrong to show this up to the public ? It's not a Obama's bunker.. So drawing conclusion from ur senseless reasoning - we can't even take the pics of mates in a classroom as teacher work there and their supervisor wouldn't be glad about it.. lmao get a life

  • @kellytim1 i agree with you i worked for Lufthansa for 7 yrs in BOS, SEA and that a big no no, PK NUMBER PLS

  • Why not install those fancy personal seat screens on 747 to?

  • lower deck looks so BIG! unpossible!;o i wanna be a pilot!

  • woah do all airlines have sleeping beds for their crew ? I never knew that!

  • @scvs2 me too :-). I never knew some single deck airplanes had basements, wow

  • @sirArchitect and afts...for example, 7777 have a floor on top for the crew. you enter from the back (opp the restroom)

  • are these the shell seats?

  • Oohh.. now I know where was that door going, the one along the bathrooms and strictly locked, hehe.

Btw, if u weight more than 100 Kgs don't dare to travel in Economy Class, seats might look pretty elegant, but are way too small and uncomfortable for a big-medium person. Your body wouldn't stand a 12 hour flight on one of these.

  • Very nice, thanks for sharing!

  • Some people like this better then the 747-400, but I haven't flown on either one, so I don't know why.

  • Lufthansa one of the best airlines in Europe!

  • Beautiful interior.... Lufthansa's seat color's very nice...

  • if the pres caught you i assure you, you'll be dead hahaha but it's nice cause it's hard to take video from lufthek. but great job though.

  • Well done! A little nervous when going downstairs into the galley but still well done. The only othe plane that had the lower galley was the l-1011 and also the dc-10 I believe. Imagine if someone was asleep in the galley, or you tripped down the stairs. Yikes!

  • why were you shaking so bad? were you worried someone might catch you?

  • @pinkmints

it's really shamefull and dangerous that maintenance workers let their 16 yr old kid roam around the plane alone.

    flagged.

  • @thedayitriedtodie you flagged the video?

  • @pinkmints

    no, i was joking.

  • @thedayitriedtodie okay. you scared me for a sec there..

  • the yellow and grey combination of seats looks elegant of this layout...

  • Agreed, Blue seats look very cliche in my opinion, so seeing this is a little refreshing.

Though I will admit I do like KLM.

  • @lolguy09 I would say the yellow and grey decor looks more sporty than elegant - almost brings to mind an impending emergency with such a bright color. And the seating looks far too cramped for a long range aircraft.

  • @lolguy09 AAA, not that's typical German elegance

  • muito fixe adorei
