@citystarridin if u zoom in you loose the main function of the fisheye which is recording close enough to your skater and having him completely in the frame
umm maybe you can cut the excess metal on the peephole the part that would normally be inside the door if you can cut it it may look better but its not bad
i already trimmed it down. i think my next step is experimenting withthe lens grouping to see if i can shorten it further without losing focus. if i can get it closer to the lens of the camera, it'll defo look better. just need an extra few hours in the day to do this stuff.
yeah, i could. i could buy a real fisheye. but then it wouldn't be a DIY would it? also, maybe google what the veho muvi actually is? adapting a mobile phone fisheye aside, i would be very fuckin impressed to find a purpose made fisheye for it. so yes, in answer to your suggestion, i COULD buy something designed for the purpose, but it would defeat the purpose of the bodging mission. thanks for your time retard.

no zoom on the muvi alas, i'm working on a version 2 on the way, i'm seeing how much i can modify the gap between the rear lens elemtn and the front group, so hopefully it'll improve matters without sacrificing focus.

@petetheloaf, Digital crop, or digital zoom. Most phones use digital zoom. Camtasia studio has digital crop for video.
