That arent mistakes, those tones are just outside of the scale the song is in I'm pretty sure. Thats why it sounds a bit strange, but it also gives the song a bit of a magical moment, its unexpected. I like those parts

It only sounds awkward for the chorus because when she sings it, it's not intended to hit those notes perfectly. She allows it to swing a little this way in that for effect. Since the piano can't do that, it sounds awkward to some people.
