@philipac2gmail thank you. I'm so sick of seeing all these people talk all this shit about hunting when they do not know what the fuck they are talking about.
Now, before you fire a flak of insults: I actually work in conservation in Africa, and I make an offer here to take one person who is seriously interested on a trip to the bush, on foot in dangerous game territory, learning about what REALLY happens on the ground - and no, it's not Animal Planet down here: animals are not smiling pets, you make a mistake, you're dead. But it IS fascinating. Interested in animals and conservation? That's a chance for grab.
Uhh... it's a shame this elephant didn't kill these hunters. These guys technically just murdered a threatened species of elephant. Fuck you guys. Fuck. You. This channel is disgusting.
@mdirtydogg No, he shouted "Voetsek!". It's a universal South African word for "bugger off". Usually shouting and making loud noises will make the elephant turn away. In this case, you can see the guys were retreating for some time before the charge, and the shot was taken at the last moment. The guy didn't shoot earlier, because elephants often do mock charges. This was not one of them.
In this case they seem to have almost asked the elephant to charge? Perhaps to allow him/them to say I shot a charging elephant? Pretty bloody sad if you ask me. Why is this video so short, would it not have made a whole lot more sense to show more of what was happening and let us better judge why they 'HAD' to shoot this elephant. Actually as elephants go, this was not a large one at all, so why shoot it?
Hi, I watch hunting videos in their entirety and then post comments on how riteous I am and how these hunters and the people who watch these videos have small dicks because they hunt dumbo and muffasa. I do this because I have no life and live a sorry existence and am constantly picked on and you tube is the only place I know i wont get my ass kicked.
@durinich btw, the African beaurocracy is HIGHLY inefficient, so I would say that a very low percentage of that money actually gets to it's destination.
@durinich oh pipie down you stupid whore!!! Instead of trying to compensate for your small "penis", why don't you try to get a life?? It'll be hard for you, but I have faith in you!!! :)
For supposedly being intelligent creatures, after all these years, you'd think they'd figured out to run AWAY from whitemen with guns - not towards. lol!!
For an even more intelligent creature like us humans, you'd guess, after all these years, we'd be able to settle a conflict without a war. And follow our religion without setting up bombs at a bus station. Apparently we can't.
Also, how should an elephant learn that, every elephant charging someone with a gun dies anyway, there will be no next time to know better ...
@Awesomechild96 its so sad that there are uninformed idiots like you out there. Elephant hunting is highly regulated so that it does not have a detrimental effect on the population. A large part of the the fees hunters pay to hunt these animals goes to helping with conservation. Hunters dont want any species to become extinct. We want a good healthy population we can hunt.
@durinich Good healthy population to hunt, huh? Okay, why? Meat? That would be understandable. Or is it the "thrill of the hunt"? If the latter, all I have to say is that you get your thrills in a pretty screwed up way.
Anyone who hunts elephants for sport is a fucking scum bag. They are obviously unaware of the terrible effects it has on the stable population of elephants. Elephants function through a complex social structure and when a member of the herd is killed, the younger elephants become aggressive towards human beings and end up causing problems later on that could have been prevented. Fuck off sport hunters
@LegendxWind Are you serious? Do you truly believe that the younger elephants associate humans with the death of another elephant. While it is true that elephants may be somewhat more intelligent than many animals, it is ludacris to assume that the reason elephants charge is because of a previous hunting trip.
You know nothing. It is scientifically proven that elephant juveniles rebel and cause damage to surrounding human settlements due to trauma and stress caused by sport hunters. Just read xp34789's comment, the elephant that went after him most likely did so because of its previous knowledge of human beings. Please do some research, elephant enfants are proven to suffer nightmares and terrors due to the horrfying image of their mothers being shot to death in front of them.
I have just as much as a right to comment as you do. Anyone who derives pleasure from the suffering of others is disgusting and of course acts defensive when confronted with their true wickedness.
@LegendxWind I guess I dont know how you could call getting a large caliber bullet through the head "suffering", that bull was out before he felt a thing, and besides, we don't know if he was even hunting elephant cuz the description says dangerous game, and I would imagine theres a lot of that in africa, the elephant charged him and he was given no choice, it was either him or the elephant, and I doubt this man is "wicked", sport hunting has been around for a long time and it will stay around
Just as a note for those that think this is cruel, elephants are so much over populated at the moment in the kruger national park, that they are completely destroying the vegetation in that area. There is currently some plans to reduce the number of elephants.
just a question whats he shouting i knoe its "futsak" (spellings rong sorry) but what does it mean i heart a safa guy i work with call his brother it and what a scrap they had1
Elephants are not called 'dangerous game by accident. Sport hunting is allowed with a certain number of tags each year to 'cull' the population for a reasonable that the territory can sustain. Elephants are very hard on the vegetation in any area. With the reduction of the numbers of predators that take the young elephants, man has to step in to provide the balance.
@cleoxxxooo plus it's brought a fair amount of money to africa and in many cases allowing areas to own the animals has saved them from extinction. a by product is that they allow people to hunt them like you said. same thing happend with the bison population in the US and it has been very succesful.
I felt sick watching this. You are one sad person to think you are something by shooting a defenceless animal. And don't say it was charging you, you should not have put yourself in that position. What is it? Does it make you feel big or macho or what?
@irenemid These are not wild elephants. They are purely bred for hunting , it costs around 70,000 US dollars to shoot one. There is a industry in this in Africa , you can hunt any animal from a zebra to a lion etc. Wild elephants and tigers are being poached daily in all of Africa illegally by the African people not a foreign man , the African man. Africa will wipe out all of its wild predators by themselves , they will always be some in national parks and these hunting industrys.
@Johnnygogone it's obvious you don't know what you're talking about. Maybe somewhere, in South Africa they breed elephants for hunting, but not throughout the rest of the countries in Africa where hunting elephant is legal. I have worked in Africa for the past two years training to be a professional hunter... I have travelled around... I have seen with my own eyes, wild elephants. there population is no where near being threatened. and another thing... there are no tigers in Africa.
@irenemid So you expect them to just stand there and be crushed to death, just so the elephant can survive. If it was you, you would have done the same. Dont lie and say you wouldnt.
@irenemid You don't get it. No one hunts to feel "big" or "macho", it's sport. It's an adrenaline rush. It's not the same kind of rush you get from doing things like snowboarding. This is something your hyper-emotional tree hugging ass will never understand.
@HunerdProof1371 So you kill things for the adrenaline rush. You do understand that's the same reason serial killers murder and rapists rape women right? I'm all for hunting for food, but when your only reason is that it's really, really fun, or a huge rush, then you're just a sadistic asshole.
@SimKoning you're making it seem like a person's life is the same as an animal, like a animal getting shot is the same as a women getting raped, news flash, the latter is more important
@ilikevariousvids I agree completely, but humans are animals, and it's not a huge leap to go from enjoying the death of animals, and enjoying the death of humans; that is actually how most serial killers start out. Most people that have an aversion to this sort of "sport" don't like how slippery the slope is.
To put it another way: the basis of human morality is largely rooted in empathy, the understanding that other life forms, human or not, can experience suffering. Actually enjoying the suffering of some other creature because you find it fun is immoral. I also take far more plessure in seeing an animal alive and understaning its biology and behavior. In other words, I would rather film the thing rather than shoot it.
@SimKoning human's are not animals. an animals has no sense of right or wrong. if there was something wrong with this sport, then it would be illegal. the only reason that people can do this is because the population needs to be brought down. If elephants in this part of the world were endangered, then there would be no hunting season. some people just are afraid of gore and gruesome things, and i understand that, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with LEGAL hunting
Does that make you feel more like a man now? Now you can place the head in your den, put on a cardigan, smoke a pipe, and pop a Viagra because you can't give your wife what she needs.
I see, gusy with guns walk towards the elephants and are surprised the elephant tries to protect itself and the other elephants so the guy shoots it? Makes perfect sence to me - it is obviously the elephants fault.
I wish I could put all these bigmouth critics in front of this elephant. I am convinced they would all have been trampled but only after they s**t in their pants!!! I also bet all these critics do not live in Africa and thus do not understand the issues of hunting. I wish they get trampled by a sedan!
I wish yo fuks all died....Killing animals....Humans are the true destruction of this earth..If an Elephant charges you obviously you're too close so you really deserve to get trappled to death..One day your gun wont shot and god will take his revenge on all you bastards that kill our planet.....
@smowktownmist your a dumb ass elephants in southern africa destroy natural vegitation and are turning forested areas into desert plains because they are over poplulating areas by as much as 500%
@myself1904 wow, you really dont know about african hunting. an elephan can run 30 mph so a distance of 100 feet he can be on top of you with 20 seconds. thats the amount of time you have to react. its not the most optimal of sititutions. you can never leave a doubt while hunting dangerous game.
That is a shame on you PH, that cow was not even on full charge, only warning and they usualy stop, and where is your cigarette you where smoking?? burning down vegitation...
Wow I think if ever there was a lesson in restraint, that was it. Talk about a cool head! I think the guide/PH was absolutely incredible, and I for one am glad that he's still alive for you all to have a pop at. The elephants brain is only about the size of a packet of fags, you know, and it didn't exactly look like it was keeping still. The elephant would have been processed after this, and lots of people would have benefited. Including elephants. Stunning, and thank you for posting
headshot....boom.....I wonder what they did with it. Or if you hunt an elephant...you leave the body on the ground what else to do with the dead animal.(??)
You do know that the guides on dangerous game hunts usually carry over-powered rifles (IE elephant rifles) on all dangerous game hunts, regardless of whether or not the hunters are using firearms of lesser recoil against smaller, intended game (ie lion). Even if hunting something like lion, guides will carry large caliber guns because of the inherent dangers of the African bush, here illustrated in this video.
But these particular fellows were hunting elephant. You cant particularly say they stumbled upon that herd. It was clearly walking away from them in clear view and they were approaching it.
I am not against hunting/culling. Its necessary to keep animals population in check, but a cull is carefully done. Those bozos just look like they typical idiot out for a thrill kill and shot the first thing that charged at them
Probably find that the ignorant on here don't realise that the funds generated by sportsman paying to hunt in these places are financially supporting the national parks , the fight against poaching, and providing food for the local population. I wonder how many of these "do gooders" eat meat and think that it comes processed and wrapped straight from the supermarket. As for "a blind man getting a head shot", it's obvious that karamarouge understands an elephants skull structure.
the professional hunter tried to scare him off by shouting several times. he had no choice. same thing happened to me in Tanzania. we weren't after elephant but one of them went after us.
That looks like an elephant gun he is holding bro. Those assholes were hunting elephant. Both of them were holding the same kind big ass double barrel used for elephant hunting.!!
Now i will say i hate hunters but some of that is necessary(culling). Thought i dont know that the animal that was killed for charging would be part of the permitted cull.
No we dont know what they are hunting which makes your begs the question why the attack on me. They are carrying elephant guns, obviously following the largest mammal on land, dont give me stories of how they "stumbled" upon a herd of them in wide open freakin savannah! you would have to be blind to do that, blind and stupid! AND NO WAY IN THE WORLD THESE BOZOS COULD HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO PERFORM HIGHLY SELECTIVE RHINO HUNTS!! NO WAY!!
Guys please!? I will be glad to inform you regarding the legality of Rhino hunting as well as the numbers and the amount that is being allowed out of South Africa on a annual basis but please stop making statements about stuff you know nothing about mail me and I will educate you so that you could at least sound like you know what the fuck your talking about!
Wrong both species of Rhino can legally be hunted on a limited basis! Still wrong white rhino are far more common throughout Southern Africa than the black (hook lip, browser and is also slightly smaller than his white wide mouthed ) cousin South Africa is the only country in Southern Africa that allows Rhino hunting of white and limited black!
@xp34789 That may be the case with this one, but I've seen several on youtube where hunters are WALKING UP TO THEM and yelling shit like "come on", and then claiming they, "they had no choice" and that it was in self defense. Is this some bullshit way of getting around laws, or is it just a justification for shooting an animal for the "rush"?
@xp34789 yes sir that's it ,its either kill or be killed in africa...dangereous land you hunt in this land ,you be prepared for anything ,and if it means you kill to protect yourself and others around you so be it........
Lots of arguing going on here. Lets look at the video itself, rather than why they were there. Kudos to the guy who took it down. He definitely saved a life there - clutch shooting.
look at it this way would u let a big motherfucking elephant charge ur ass if u had a gun u would be like o shit ur to smart to shoot plz kill me r u retarded geez
So, if you were in the same situation would have let that elephant just trample your ass? Just because they chose to be there doesn't mean they don't have the right to defend themselves, for Christ's sake...
Well it looks like you are the one that is ignorant. How do you suppose those poor countries pay for the rangers that patrol the parks for poachers and the biologists that track and ensure the health of the herds? The biologists determine how many animals the land can support and sell hunts to keep the population at the right level. Hunters pay for all of it. So unless you can pony up millions of dollars to do it, hunters will be the ones footing the bill.
Well, I can see that you don't know the difference between your and you're, kind of makes you look like a total dumbass, you need to come back when you've finished Grade School. I'm not in the habit of wasting time someone who can't pass Grade school, not about to start with you so don't expect a reply.

I see, gusy with guns walk towards the elephants and are surprised the elephant tries to protect itself and the other elephants so the guy shoots it? Makes perfect sence to me - it is obviously the elephants fault.
PDopey 1 year ago
That was sad but had to be done, you stupid p.e.t.a. members need to stop valuing animal life over human life.

I wish I could put all these bigmouth critics in front of this elephant. I am convinced they would all have been trampled but only after they s**t in their pants!!! I also bet all these critics do not live in Africa and thus do not understand the issues of hunting. I wish they get trampled by a sedan!

I wish yo fuks all died....Killing animals....Humans are the true destruction of this earth..If an Elephant charges you obviously you're too close so you really deserve to get trappled to death..One day your gun wont shot and god will take his revenge on all you bastards that kill our planet.....

myself1904 1 year ago
@myself1904 wow, you really dont know about african hunting. an elephan can run 30 mph so a distance of 100 feet he can be on top of you with 20 seconds. thats the amount of time you have to react. its not the most optimal of sititutions. you can never leave a doubt while hunting dangerous game.
nandokicker 1 year ago
@myself1904 exactly what I was thinking, an elephant chargeing ti kill has it ears tucked into it head. that was clearly a fake charge

laurafrieda1911 1 year ago
Wow I think if ever there was a lesson in restraint, that was it. Talk about a cool head! I think the guide/PH was absolutely incredible, and I for one am glad that he's still alive for you all to have a pop at. The elephants brain is only about the size of a packet of fags, you know, and it didn't exactly look like it was keeping still. The elephant would have been processed after this, and lots of people would have benefited. Including elephants. Stunning, and thank you for posting

Karamarouge -
You do know that the guides on dangerous game hunts usually carry over-powered rifles (IE elephant rifles) on all dangerous game hunts, regardless of whether or not the hunters are using firearms of lesser recoil against smaller, intended game (ie lion). Even if hunting something like lion, guides will carry large caliber guns because of the inherent dangers of the African bush, here illustrated in this video.
PPeanick 2 years ago
But these particular fellows were hunting elephant. You cant particularly say they stumbled upon that herd. It was clearly walking away from them in clear view and they were approaching it.
I am not against hunting/culling. Its necessary to keep animals population in check, but a cull is carefully done. Those bozos just look like they typical idiot out for a thrill kill and shot the first thing that charged at them
karamarouge 2 years ago
@Blacklung27
As for "a blind man getting a head shot", it's obvious that karamarouge understands an elephants skull structure.

saabguy87 2 years ago
the professional hunter tried to scare him off by shouting several times. he had no choice. same thing happened to me in Tanzania. we weren't after elephant but one of them went after us.
xp34789 2 years ago 19

NO WAY!!
karamarouge 2 years ago
Guys please!? I will be glad to inform you regarding the legality of Rhino hunting as well as the numbers and the amount that is being allowed out of South Africa on a annual basis but please stop making statements about stuff you know nothing about mail me and I will educate you so that you could at least sound like you know what the fuck your talking about!
Onlyintelligentbeing 2 years ago
I am not really interested in the legality of hunting rhinos.
What i am talking about are the people in this video and what they are doing.
Feel free to email craspo about his bullshit statements that amount to nothing more than wild speculation while the rest are focused on the video.
karamarouge 2 years ago
Wrong both species of Rhino can legally be hunted on a limited basis! Still wrong white rhino are far more common throughout Southern Africa than the black (hook lip, browser and is also slightly smaller than his white wide mouthed ) cousin South Africa is the only country in Southern Africa that allows Rhino hunting of white and limited black!

@xp34789 really? that is a very intresting story
ChromeGhost0219 1 year ago
@xp34789 That may be the case with this one, but I've seen several on youtube where hunters are WALKING UP TO THEM and yelling shit like "come on", and then claiming they, "they had no choice" and that it was in self defense. Is this some bullshit way of getting around laws, or is it just a justification for shooting an animal for the "rush"?
SimKoning 1 year ago
@xp34789 yes sir that's it ,its either kill or be killed in africa...dangereous land you hunt in this land ,you be prepared for anything ,and if it means you kill to protect yourself and others around you so be it........

jtking2504 2 years ago

lakerfan82k3 2 years ago
@lakerfan82k3, oh go away you brain dead hick. This is a hunt, they chose to be there. You are retarded.
jtking2504 2 years ago
So, if you were in the same situation would have let that elephant just trample your ass? Just because they chose to be there doesn't mean they don't have the right to defend themselves, for Christ's sake...
lakerfan82k3 2 years ago 2
Yeah, now you're just baiting aren't you? Nobody's possibly that stupid as your comments would suggest you are. Good luck with that.
jtking2504 2 years ago
Well it looks like you are the one that is ignorant. How do you suppose those poor countries pay for the rangers that patrol the parks for poachers and the biologists that track and ensure the health of the herds? The biologists determine how many animals the land can support and sell hunts to keep the population at the right level. Hunters pay for all of it. So unless you can pony up millions of dollars to do it, hunters will be the ones footing the bill.
