After the state gave him life for the murders the feds prosecuted him for the kidnapping and sentenced him to death. He is currently in state custody in CA while he awaits trial on the 1997 murder of a 10 year ol boy there. He could potentially face death for that also but California rarely executes people, the feds will get to him first, the appeals process is shorter with them because there are no state level appeals to file.
We have the pleasure of knowing where all these sick people will be when they die and go meet their maker Lord Jesus Christ. They don't stand a chance. That gives me some peace in my heart knowing of their demise after they pass on. I say the ones who kill, should be executed right after trial. Stop with the waiting process or allowing them to have appeals over and over again. Do away with them. Why should they be allowed to life after taking anothers life? Just wrong. Not fair at all.

TERRIBLE.. AWFUL. I can't even imagine being this little girl and witnessing everyone she loved die in front of her, and the asshole who did it bragging about it, mind fucking her and her brother, making them both write goodbye letters and shooting one in front of the other. I can't begin to know the fear she felt, I can speculate but I'm sure it's no where near the actual thing. This could happen to anyone.

I would do anything to get my hands on this guy, I would have ripped his throat out. I'm gonna go on record and say I'm a VERY staunch supporter of the death penalty, but let's be realistic here. This scumbag will never be executed on Federal death row. The system is a joke. I NEVER say take Life in prison over the death penalty but in this case, it would have been perfect. Putting Duncan in General Population would essentially be a death sentence for him. He'd be dead his first week by inmates

@Jessaymae More than likely that was just his motive, guessing he didn't want to leave witnesses or have the risk of somebody finding the children (he might have thought that, if he murdered the whole family, then he would have a few days head start hiding Dylan and Shasta). Heartbreaking.

This little girl is so brave. I am glad that she at least still has her dad to help her through this horrible ordeal. She is a beautiful little girl and her brothers were handsome young men. That monster Duncan should get an "eye-for-an-eye" punishment. He took, not only the lives of Brenda, Mark, Slade and Dylan, but also Shasta and her father's lives have been flipped upside down by what he did.

If they simply cannot fight of their demons then they should just have the courage to shoot themselves before hurting innocent people.

Later after that he molested a 6 year old boy and the judge granted him 15,000 bail. I mean cmon they kept letting him go over and over. Now after all the suffering he caused he gets put gently to sleep with a needle. It just makes no sense.

After the state gave him life for the murders the feds prosecuted him for the kidnapping and sentenced him to death. He is currently in state custody in CA while he awaits trial on the 1997 murder of a 10 year ol boy there. He could potentially face death for that also but California rarely executes people, the feds will get to him first, the appeals process is shorter with them because there are no state level appeals to file.

That gives me some peace in my heart knowing of their demise after they pass on. I say the ones who kill, should be executed right after trial. I live in the town where this happened.... Duncan has not been sentenced yet because he has other cases in other states... but if they were to let him out into the general public here... he wouldn't last five seconds... i think thats what he should do.... also in duncans court.. he requested that Shasta watch the video Duncan took while he killed her littel brother. Shasta and her father have a new home that the community built.
