@Deango2 Dude, what brutal death metal are you listening to? It totally does! Listen to Kronos, thats what brutal death metal is all about. The newer "slam" stuff also uses tremolo picking, even if it is the slowest death metal around.

But they are still a great band. But no what I was getting at was the brutal death metal bands of today. They play so slow that I want to force them all to smoke some crack.

@Deango2 Defeated Sanity, they had a promo out in 2008 though they were formed in 1994, they play fast shit!! you know gravity blast fast! Brutal Slamming Death Metal is the slow death metal you are talking about, and it is slow but thats the whole concept, its enjoyable but it can be real generic, i have only found three or four bands that are intresting. Brutal Death Metal is still fast, slow, mid-tempo, and everything that Suffocation started(just a bit heavier).

And gore is no longer a gimmick. Cannibal Corpse, Devourment and Gorgasm for example, play a different kind of Death Metal than Opeth, Amon Amarth and Death. The gore themes in CC's music fit wth the music.

CC's music is repetitive and boring as hell, if you compare the songs most riffs sound alike.
