  • wow its the most beautiful song of an instrument I've ever heart =)

  • A little bit sadly and beautiful

  • ulen susak kemençe yayı bikere o kullandığın..

  • are those frets spread out on the neck?

    like micro-tone frets?

  • Very beautiful. First time I heard such an instrument solo in such a way. I like it very much since it seems to carry so much of a 'normal' man's struggle in life. I tend to prefer that in front of heroic sounds, as this would fit much more the time we live in.

  • I know that it's a turkish channel cause the show is called colors of music

  • wonderful! planet earth is for all beings. period.

  • Please correct the name from Violine to Yayli Tanbur

Very beautiful playing on this Turkish very beautiful instrument.

  • oriental violine? are you kidding?

That's called "Yaylı Tambur" and that's a Turkish instrument. Besides, this is not the ancestor of the Western instrument called "Violin". That should be kemençe (kemenche, kemencha) in my opinion.

Please don't name Eastern instruments by assuming the Western music culture as starting point.

  • verry sad instrument, i think its Syrian, but wonderfull

  • very nice

  • I can chill so god whitthis musik! ALLAHU AKBAR

  • I love the harmonic-like wail noises the instrument makes every now and again.

It sounds like a primal wail of anguish.

  • sounds great, i like that instrument. I posted my song yaily as a video reponse, hope you like it.

  • thanks very nice.

  • Thanks very beautiful,

This music is fantastic, very relaxed.

  • Davvero bella musica!

  • What is this instrument called in English? Is it a strung tanbour? And is this the very same instrument as a plucked tanbour, meaning one only needs a bow to play it?

  • rimeg

yes sir we calle it yayli (sad, soapy) tanbur!

it is a higher version of a classic Kemençe!

you can play it also like a SAZ(oriental gitar)! i mean with the fingers!

i dont know the english name im sorry!

    thnxs for you comment!

  • @rimeg

It is Yayli Tanbur, Yai means string, there is the Tanbur which be played without the bow but this instrument played with using the bow, please search on Tanbur and then Yayli Tanbur to see them both
