  • I wonder why the media had no interest in the footage??Probably because whoever you contacted about the clip has a similar sized cat at home called Tibbles, footage shows a household moggy, the next time your up around Loch Ness with a camera use it for something usefull like footage of Nessie at least......Epic Fail.

  • again, inconclusive with no size comparisons available although definately feline i believe the photographer would have kept the camera rolling, i certainly would have but how long is that grass?

  • Sorry, hard to tell, I dont disbelive in ABCs, living in the great lakes we were told there were no cougars, lol now there is a possibility of melanistic cougars

  • WOW! I have one of these too! Right here in my living room! I wonder if I can sell a video of it to the media? Haha! : ) Mine is named "Garfield", I wonder what the one in this video is called by its owners..:)

  • this is just stupid ure so far away u cant telll what size it is. it could be the length of my thumb lol

  • @scotland1989able It was quite big. I would not have seen a domestic pussy in a field to my right whilst driving.

  • OMG ! It's a cat ! What in Gods name was it doing out ? Mousing ? hehe...definitely a cat maybe a biggish cat but just a cat...

  • Its a black panther

  • Wow, that can be anything.

  • The way it's walking makes it look like a Mustelid almost. Like an Otter, Mink, Ferret etc. Not saying that's what it is, and it's been confirmed that there are Big Cats in Europe, but this isn't conclusive enough for me. I do love all these videos on YouTube, puts my animal knowledge to the test!

  • You are shooting from a fair distance away, however, there does appear to be some size to the cat. If it's a housecat then he certainly knows his way around a whiskas tin! Thx for sharing this.

  • is one wizard!!

  • its a dawg that thing has a bushy tail

    you dig?

  • Ok have a look around 0:22 See that tree slantingly to the left in the backdrop? That is a fairly large tree and im estimating it to be around 3-4 feet in length. And im FAIRLY sure there are trees of that size in the florida everglades. So its either a puma, an overly large housecat OR my personal favorite the florida panther. Give me some proof this was taken in scotland then ill rule out panther.

  • @xbeast133,

I thought Florida Panther and Puma were the same animal?

  • @sonofthedestroyer No no my good man. A florida panther is more agile and sleek while the puma is more bulky and heavyset. Panthers are black puma are spotted and tan and brown.

  • @sonofthedestroyer The Florida Panther and the Puma(Moutain Lion, Cougar, etc.) are the same SPECIES, but show significant regional differences in size and build. Also, panther is used to refer to black color phase (a semi-common mutation) in pumas, leopards, and jaguars, which adds to the confusion in naming.

  • @evilpika7 panther alone does not exist. theres black leopards and black jaguars there also called panthers and i got two pictures of a black cougar and a white cougar.

  • This was taken in the florida glades...Im from there and that my friends is a black florida panther.

  • OR MAYBE ITS A DOG! wow lol...

  • Def not a house cat, maybe a large stoat or Scottish wild cat. People like you make me famous becuase some people are content to watch someone else's uploads and feel free to make unsubstantiated remarks

  • Its Tibbles the local houshold pet cat.

  • a cat

  • donkey 100%

  • lol domestic fluffy cat..not a panther, tails fluffy and to short.....its tiddles the cat

  • That cat seems pretty big especially where the viewpoint is at nd i dont think u can see a regular black house cat like that either

  • Minds me of a lizzard

  • it is probably a scottish wildcat they are many in rural parts of scotland

  • I wouldn't call this a "Big Cat" because there are no size references to tell how big it is. Probably a lost house cat.

  • FFS!!!! LMAO!!!!

  • Its just a normal black houshold cat.

  • do ppl call them monsters just because they're oversized cats?

  • Again a domestic house, It's legs are moving to fast when it walks to be anything other than a house cat..

  • great book called the beast of exmoor cant remember the author but good read

  • there must be a lot of big cats about because a lot of people have reported them leopards hunt in ranges from 10 to 20 miles square and can smell human scent and cower away they are not seen frequently in parts of south america where they are abundant so unless these reports are fake there must be strong breeding groups all around the UK

  • the tail is long enough and thick enough to be a big cat such as a black leopard/panther. i live far away from here, in herefordshire near wales, but theres always been rumours of large cat sightings like this round near me.

  • @gunandterrier , i live very close to lochness, we too have a lot of sightings.i have even found deer that have been killed and eaten by something large, i do a fair bit of stallking so i know its not dog kills, there was an old woman hurt by a hybrid cat around 2ft tall about 20 miles from here, the rspca recon it was after her wee dog but she got in the way !

  • where i live its quite rural with plenty of woods and ditches, theres plenty of deer, pheasants, rabbits and livestock it could eat.... ive researched it quite a bit and it has to be true. herefordshires supposedly the county with the lowest number of sightings, but i know of at least 6 sightings which havnt been reported to the authorities! theres loads of horses/ponies around here too but ive never heard of any being attacked, so i guess they can thrive on deer and other animals instead

  • i agree, a lot were pets released in the 60/70s when it was legal and trendy to own big cats. they have huge territories so even sighting them in their native country is rare !

  • how do u know how long or thick its tail is??.. u can barely see its tail even.. im ging to trap a ferul cat( semi wild housecat) bring it to a wide open field and video it being released just to prove that these cats dont exist in uk or ireland

  • no way that could be a house cat the tail is far to long and the size of it is at least 4ft because the cut marks in the grass are about 1m wide and the cat is longer than them i live about a mile away from where the video was shot and have found sheep that have been attacked and killed my something that could only be a cat the marks couldnt be made b a dog

  • i would bet u anything thats a house cat.. when your lookin at an animal from that kind of distance in the middle of a field with little or nothing to offer perspective against its human nature top think its bigger than it is.. domestic cats often hunt rabbits and hares and tend to "stalk " them displayingthe same motion as a "big cat"... also your only estimating that the cat is longer than the cut marks. how many dead "big cats have been found?... how many dead housecats have u came across??

  • yea i understand what you are saying about wanting it to be bigger than it is but if you look at the size of it against the tree in the back ground thats quite a big tree and cats alot bigger i know its at a different distance but its not that farr away. i think that you would be extreamly lucky to come across a big cats body as they have such large terrotories with only one or two cats living in that latge area. ps sorry about spelling

  • if you look at about 0.15 when it zooms out you can see the size of the cat compared to the trees and bushes in the background. its a large cat by the way it moves, excessively big for a house cat tho. possibly a hybrid.

  • How many have u heard of John? I think the debate wil go on but whether it is or it isnt, I`m sure there are non indigenous big cats out there, although few and widely scattered!

  • you can tell its a house cat not a wild one!

  • If you knew how wide the patterns were in the grass you could get a scale

  • Inconclusive as usual but yes, I`d put £5 on it.

  • wow! you're that sure!

  • knutsford, cheshire? i think i might have seen the same cat, would it have been about 15yrs ago?

  • i think this footage indicates that this is a Scottish wildcat. the tail is relatively shorter and bushier, you can make out patterns on the coat that could be consistent with that of a wildcat and it looks bigger than a domesticated cat...wildcats can be up to 50% bigger than domestic or ferals. nice footage, what time of day was this?

  • maybe alien big cats are a mix of home cat and wild cat ? this here looks very home cat like but the size?!

  • wow thats huge / no way cud it be a domestic cat if he is tht far away from it n look at size of it !

  • 100% a BIG cat!!!

  • pet cat!!!!
