I did not feel that emotional connection to the song...There was "acting" but I was not pulled to want to watch her.

Another thing I feel is that people are soo meticulous with notes and pitch. Yes when executed right it sounds good but when your attention is drawn to want to watch an actor I feel that makes the performance more worthwhile..*drops in two cents*

I don't think this girl is a bad singer really. She just does not have the range for this song. She has no mix. She is either singing the powerful portions fully in headvoice or is just yelling to get through them. The song is difficult and intense. She does well with the vocal ability that she has, but it really falls short of what the song needs.

i... it was a really interesting performance. i always thought that it was a song just begging for intense emotion. i mean, the way it's written, and set up, and everything just begs for intensity. so i really liked that you kind of "over emotionalized" there were a few pitch problems, like someone else said, and the acting went a bit flat... but really, overall, i really liked it. kudos!

I like the transition scene at the beginning. The vocals seem to be covered by the pit starting out. The vocalist seems to have some pitch problems due to pushing or over emotionalizing the piece. The emotion is great, but over emotion takes away from some of the performance. The voice is great when it's just being sung and not semi-screamed. I love the facial expressions and the eye movement.
