amen...what the hell were they thinking getting rid of melissa...she was the center of falcon crest just like fallon was the center o dynasty and just like as bad as i hate to admit it, victoria principal was the center of dallas. melissa was such a fiery heroine and yes, i do think of her as a heroine. she just had a troubled soul and you have to be a bitch when you're dealing with the likes of angela channing and her hen-pecked nephew with the overactive libido...lance was not worthy of her.
Yeah, they made a HUGE mistake killing off Melissa. They replaced her character with Pilar Ortega (Kristian Alfonso). Alfonso is great as Hope Williams Brady on DOOL, but she was a bad miscast on Falcon Crest.
Melissa deliberately set fire to Falcon Crest while she was in the house. She meant to kill herself since all her loved ones had deserted her after she took over Falcon Crest from Angela. Lance got her out b4 the house burned down, but at the hospital they couldn't revive her.
Ana Alicia was SO cool in FC...is it true that she was sacked? Melissa was such a great character...BIG mistake writing her out...I think it was also a BIG mistake when Ana Alicia came back as a diffrent character. Love the montage and the moody version of the theme tune!
