  • Let's be serious here, please... how can anyone sing this wonderful song other than in Italian? Shhhhhh

  • @thestick52 - Yes, especially when the English version isn't anything nearing a direct translation of the original. I remember seeing the movie this song came from "Rome Adventure" and was absolutely head-over-heels in love with Suzanne Pleshette!

  • Why in a vault for many years?

  • Have a picture of mom and dad, both deceased now, in Rome and they are playing this beautiful song.

  • This is one of best songs of all times. I paly this sing for my song for my son kia 26may07 3 years ago today. I will continue to play this song til I die.

  • Jerry Vale has a great voice. I liked all the Italian-American singers ; Perry Como, Dean Martin, Sinatra and Vic Dana (was he Italian?). One Italian-American singer (I was told he was Italian) is Johnny Contardo from Sha Na Na. If he was Italian, then I would have to say he was the best I ever heard.

  • Very nice version of this classic song! I'd love to hear Jerry sing this one all in Italian. This one must have been just recorded for the American government. Cheers to Italian heritage.

  • The bolero-style background is especially nice. I should like to hear the other recordings on this "best of" album.
