With lynch they were a diferent flavor and yes it sucks he is not with the band anymore..he made songs witha complicated simplicity..they were tough to play but not overdone..up in ashes was good but none of the other albums since then have come close to the old Dokken..I still buy and listen to them but the Dokken/Lynch/Pilson/Brown sound was just unbeatable..pilson and lynch brought a lot to the table

I don't know why you guys are being so hard on Don...I have been a fan of Dokken since I first heard them and of couse his voice is not the same..those songs are 20-30 years old..I could hit those notes back when those albums came out..and now? forget about it..besides listen to the part where he lets the audience sing..he sings lika a siren compared to them..sheesh

Why don't some of you people give Don a break, geez! He's played many concerts and isn't that young anymore. I'm a singer too and my voice isn't nearly as good as it was back in my teens and twenties and I'm 40 now. He is still awesome in my opinion. What musically have you done lately??

I saw them on this tour for the second VH-1 cd in Hartford. I don't think this was that show, but I've seen Dokken for every show they've had here in CT since they got back together. With the exception of this acoustic tour, and for Long Way Home and Hell To Pay, Don had vocal toubles every time. Once, he even went to the hospital for steroid shots to help his vocal cords. Now, he always jokes about his voice when he comes to CT.
