  • C'mon people more views more love, people should not and will not forget about this legend!

  • amazing

  • That feel when the solo starts.

  • All right... let's see anybody try to argue that Buckethead has no soul in his playing now.

  • Anybody else need a Fuckn magnifying glass to see justin biebers dick? ( the dislike bar) -______-

  • Was that a rubber ducky behind him next to the drumer?!?!?! lol

  • @DSCKSR a rubber chicken to be precise. the drummer is called pinchface fyi.

  • This is......absolutley fantatstic at its worst you cant say this isnt good it also seems depressing that well never hear music like this again because of idiots like justin bieber lady gaga and katy perry in the charts it really does sadden me :(

  • @Bulweis your retarded, must be a joke, this is some of the best guitar playing ive seen in a long time, and to be honest, this isn't even bucketheads best playing, when buckethead has a bad day, he is still better than most others on their best days

  • @Bulweis Even if you didn't enjoy it there is no way you can say that this is crap, you just didn't enjoy it. Idiot

  • What song?

  • And people say he has no emotion, fucking deaf bastards...

  • big b was on FIRE that night man. ive seen almost all of buckets live videos here on you tube and i have never seen him be on fire like this.

Been listening to bucket for 10-12 years.. ( he was one the mortal combat soundtrack lol) Ive seen him like in dayton ohio, it was amazing but ive never seen anything like t his from hem before cept maybe aggie theatre unitiled

  • He is unmatched as far as im concerned. no one will ever be this great again!

  • I cannot even put it into words.

  • Brave tone, he went without reverb here. Took me some getting used to, but it's crisp.

  • @T09Bryant i dont know, but i has a little touch of reverb. still not sure but buckethead is the best. IMO

  • @BuckPlayer3000

He does have a bit of delay when he does the arpeggiated quintal-chords in the beginning, I was just talking about during the solo.

He really is a creative guitarist. I got into him really early on when I started playing and am just not getting back into him. For good electric listening, check Shawn Lane, Deryl Gabel, Marshall Harrison, and Allan Holdsworth. They're all faves of mine too.

  • You mean as a guitarist your ,just done with bucket head altogether. For me, buckethead got me back into guitar playing in the last 10 years..And believe me i used to play the strip(LA) quite often back 80's early 90's..Unless your into jazz or bebop which is so killer musically..But literally bucket made me pick it up on a almost daily basis again. His peaceful atmospheric stuff is what i like mostly. And i listened to all those yngwie malmsteen dudes in 80's..Bucket is straight experimental.

  • @dannyhood

My bad, I meant to say that I was just NOW getting back into Buckethead. Definitely, I liked all of Colma and his newest album is supposed to be similar.

  • That's cool, I mean he's just so different with so many styles..I just had to ask why. I listen to other kinds of music but i always come back to bucket head

  • @T09Bryant buckethead and shawn lane <3

  • @T09Bryant nice choices on guitarists

  • bucket was on fire here

  • no markers on his les paul is so sexy. one of my favorite bucket videos. i want to see him with a full band so badly. i hope this song is playing when i die.

  • @GoneFollows same here mate and no i like him on his own with a singer etc it wouldnt be as good in my opinion anyway

  • I'm stoned as fuck right now.

  • 3:01

    What happened?

  • HE WENT CRAZY! THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED!

Seriously, the best part about buckethead is that he can transition from a slow, sad ballad type song to something that totally is a inferno of heat!

  • @neymacastro

    its called a mask

  • @neymacastro He Got his groove on, just took a second.

  • @neymacastro What happened was, he hit the totally wrong note and was completely FUCKED. AND HE KNEW IT. He was lucky to get out of it like he did, I put that to experience.

  • good

  • one of bucket's best live solo's

  • I think this is from the transmutation album from praxis, it has the same riff but it has some techno shit in it

  • from what album is this? please tell me.. Im going to buy it

  • My guitar style is just like this guy. He is my #1 inspiration for playing guitar. When I release some nice stuff and become known enough, I want to find this guy and thank him for the amount of emotion he has shown me. Then after that we'll rock and take over the galaxy together!

  • I loved this track :D <3

  • Every song tells a story.

  • Se sarpa demasiado!

  • i did exactly what losserelli666 said ''practice until your fingers bleed and hope to one day rock the world''

  • lol ^^

  • Good that's what you want to do, learn things from all kinds of music that eventually feel good to you when you practice and play..The neck feels like butter..

  • "i have just started to play the guitar about a month ago .... i can play almost as fast as buckethead and i'm very accurate with the pick"

    then you're messiah!

  • seriously?

  • LONG LIVE BUCKETHEEEADDDDDD!

  • His technical skills are top but what strikes me deeply inside is the feeling he communicates to me with his sounds and music... unbelievable!! He's.. not-human.... i love him...

  • Best guitar player ever.I hope he didn't die before me :D

  • this song mekes me cry..

i love like play all songs is ...is.. chorsgod lol .....I LOve BUCKETHEAD!!!!

    HE IS THE MAN

  • Comment removed

  • go out n buy a guitar (if u dont already own one) and practice untill your fingers bleed and hope one day to rock the world!!! =] ...atleast thats what i did...

  • i have a guitar. i just started playing about 2 months ago so im still a beginner. so far ive learned all of the notes in the first posistion and in about a week or so ill start learning all the basic chords.

how good are you at guitar and how long have you been playing? just curious

  • oh yeah? i got a book that thought me basic chords to start with n technics to switch between them. than it thought me some scales n some melodies that go along with them...i havent read it after that im just tryin to get good at what i already know..but i also like to print out taps n learn some awsomes melodies...

  • im pretty good at guitar although never had lessons, i have been playing for 11 years

  • hey my comment was two months ago. now I can do all the basic open chords and suspended chords and now working on barre chords.

good for you I hope to still be playing 11 years from now

  • dagon your whole existence seems wrong.

  • OMG!!!

  • Buckethead isnt a human he's a robot ninja

  • no, he is an alienbot-chiken-ninja

  • Yeah sure Buckethead makes a mistake but really should anyone care? Great guitarists make mistakes, we are all human. I mean look at Hendrix if he was playing a song in the wrong key knowone would give a shit because he is a guitar legend and even the pro's make mistakes and as someone said Buckethead is so good at hiding the few mistakes he makes that nobody even notices!

  • i saw a video on youtube it believe it was welcome to bucketheadland, and he makes like 3 mistakes during the whole song, and yet it still doesnt effect the feel of the song. he is such an amazing guitar player

  • although the first note of the solo seems wrong :(

  • seems wrong cause he's basically flipping the whole song, it's like playing a ballad and then suddenly starting a random, very different rock solo, it doesn't fit together, not because the note is wrong but because well basically, he just surprises you.. when that note hit's, you're like "whoa, didn't see that coming"

so yah, i don't think the note is wrong....

  • If buckethead playd the wrong note there.. he would slide it away before anybody but himself noticed it, not hold it like that :)

  • dude if Jimi Hendrix saw this vid he'd be amazed !!! All those f**ks who say that Buckethead plays with no soul should see this vid ! It's one of his best improvisations I've heard and it's simply beautiful =)

  • its hard to c it but i meen u c him swaying back and fourth and noddng his head up n down i meen thats his way of showing soul... hes a unique guy haha... veryyyyy unique guy

  • u dont have to see anything, u can feel it

  • Comment removed

  • he exspesses more through his guitar than any one could speaking

    beautifull

  • no matter how much I listen to paul gilbert, steve vai, yngwie malmsteen, I alwasy come back to the one the only BUCKETHEAD!

  • hell yes brother.

there will always be only one and his name is buckethead.

  • we are all his children for there is 1 god buckethead

  • so true. i can never get enough of it

  • with all due respect all of the guitarests are SHIT since I listend to BUCKETHEAD The Student is better then the Teacher and you know what I meen :) Paul gilbert

  • I still like them but Buckethead is the man

  • This solo demonstrates how Buckethead can play soulfully and with passion.. At times he reminded me of hendrix as well as many other guitar players..

  • dude the shredding and 6:03

    simply beautiful

  • I love the bass solo at the beginning. I can't find him actually playing this with Praxis though!

  • WOAH! He goes from all that shred, so that hybrid-picked, huge-reaching chordy part and then into a beautiful tapping trill at the end!

Buckethead is the best guitarist ever. I haven't heard a single other with such a broad range. Long live the Buckethead!

  • buckethead can not die, he will live on for all eternity, as will Death Cube K

  • that's realy cool

  • Is there a live version of this song available on CD? I read another post that said it was on the Zurich CD but I don't see it in the track listing. Thanks.

  • its on the praxis live in tennase album but its titled bent light

  • Thank you very much!!

  • no problem man

theres a video of it on here somewhere

  • The thing that puts Buckethead above the rest of the shred pack is the dude is really soulfull.

  • cool and maybe inspired by pink floyd's comfortably numb :)

  • omfg what in the mother fuck

    bucket is THE Guitar Hero

most amazing shit ever right there

  • Gotta love this song

  • what's the song at 2:04 again? it's a totally different song. i've played the studio version of this and it isn't in it.

  • its animal behaviour

  • oh yeah thanks :) it's like right at the end of animal behavior

  • I still keep listening to it even if it was the song i was listening to when my gf broke up with me. hahahah. That's how badass this song is.

  • Could listen to this all day

  • That's a great camera angle.

  • god i fucking love this song, every time i watch him play it it just drives me fuckinng insane, especially the part around 5:25 and it ends at 5:35, i think those 10 seconds of the song is some of the most cleanist smooth lead ive ever heard.

  • i love how every time he plays this song its never the same.

i learned how to play MANY versions of it from watching videos and just fucking around with my guitar.

this is a song that no matter who is playing it cant keep from just pouring their emotions into it.

its just that kind of song.

i played this song at my brothers wedding a few weeks ago and it came out simply beautiful because of the intense emotion in the room and of course what i was feeling.

    Fuckin Love This Fucking Song.

  • Yeah man this song is amazing.... Very cool song wit a lot of feelings poured in.....

  • i totally agree with you dude, its so easy to improvise the last few notes of each bar in this song and make it your own and put in your own feelings. i could screw around with it for hours :)

  • another song you may could have played is "I love my parents" :) beautiful!

  • @tofurkey0 how did the wedding go cuz im thinking of doing the samething

  • holy shit..he is incredible

  • thank's a lot!!!

  • Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis)

  • i mean interworld!!!

  • i love this song!!! could someone tell me what album this song is off???

  • Originally by the band Praxis, which features Buckethead on guitar, as well as Bill Laswell on bass. It's from the album, "Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis)"

  • one cool tune.

check my cover if u get a chance.

  • my all time favorite guitarist ever mr BH

all i can say is FLAWLESS VICTORY rok on

  • one of my favorite songs. Which album is this on?

  • It's one of the songs he played with Praxis, I couldn't tell you which Praxis album it's on though, sorry.

  • Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis), released 1992.

  • :) There ya go

  • love it...bh for president!

  • I love BucketHead, but I never have seen hes face... Can someone send a link to me that I can see hes "scared face"!

    Thank you,

    GunShine

  • google: unmasked buckethead

    first link.

  • anybody have this song

    can not find anywhere

  • the only good shredder in the world that i have heard. because you can imagine the shredding alot slower as a melody. he has so much emotion

i'm in love with his music

  • Thank you So much anaphrodisiac!! Finally someone agrees with me that those 'musicians' aren't good! I'm from Winnipeg like Neil young and I HATE him.

  • The beauty of it, though, is that everyone is entitled to their own opinion of what's good and what's not good. So just because I don't think Neil Young (for example) is that great (and he can't sing for crap either), doesn't mean everyone thinks the same.

On the other hand, when folks go on and on about the technical merits of a musician, and gloss over or fail to mention the truly *technically* talented guys, that annoys me.

  • in this case

    beautiful melody

    technically a joy to behold

  • Honestly guys, I think this is the greatest thing we've ever witnessed. Its purley mind blowing - no less =D

  • i like this

    very nice

  • I just started listening to this guy very recently...and believe me he's a million times better than the overhyped monkeys like satriani and vai...man the emotions and the feel that comes out of that machine is fucking mindblowing...

  • Satriani and Vai are hardly overhyped monkeys, and that's just plain old ignorant to say so. You want overhyped, cast an eye towards the likes of Neil Young, Slash, Cobain, and basically anyone who's picked up a guitar in the last 10 or so years, learned a few power chords and churned out album after album of shitty pop-rock.

  • very true. vai is one of the true masters on guitar. he can actually do anything on the instrument. along with buckethead

  • You're totally wrong

I bet the inventors of Blues were saying exactally the same things about Vai 'n' co. lol

    Times change

Buckethead is the man of our generation

He surpasses most guitarists because of the way he can connect with peoples emotions on a major scale

  • The Blues has been around a lot longer than "Vai 'n' co. lol", so it's hard for the "inventors" to say exactally the same things since they're pushing up daisies.

Who are you to say what music connects with everyone's emotions? There's songs by Satch and Vai that connect with me (and others, they have more fans than just me).

Blanket negative statements about others just because you've got wood for one guitarist makes you look ignorant.

  • ugh i hate it just as bad when i want to see drummer clips, i don't think i have seen one vid clip where it says "this guy sucks, joey jordison rules."

I think everyone is entitled to thier own opinons, and i'm getting real tired over people talking about who's better than who, everyone has thier own unique style, so fuck off

  • Sorry man, but Cobain was not overrated. Just cause a person doesn't shred or play complex chords doesn't mean they're not good musicians. Have you ever tried to write a good catchy melody? It's really hard. Nirvana has so many beautiful melodies that almost no other musicians can come close to matching. Another example is Beethoven's Fur Elise, is it hard to play? Not at all, but it's all about melody and feel. Not to mention it was just as much Cobain's lyrics/poetry that made Nirvana famous.

  • Load up on guns/Bring your friends/Its fun to lose/And to pretend/Shes overboard/Myself assured/I know I know/A dirty word

    Hello (x 16)

How is that poetry? Cobain's ramblings were an incoherent mess put to simplistic power chords repeated ad nauseum throughout the song. For me, that's not beautiful, it's boring. One of the most overrated bands in the history of music.

  • Actually, it's: "She's over bored and self assured, oh know I know a dirty word". It's a clever use of verbiage that Cobain uses to depict the symptoms of suicide, anyone with a soul can see that is a pretty deep line. Previous verses depict the general feeling of boredom and emptiness teens at that time felt. Nirvana was successful because they broke the cycle of the same old shitty music topping the charts, and provided a great alternative to people thirsting for something different.

  • They broke the cycle of the same old shitty music, and instead gave us *different* shitty music. I'm sorry, but there's just no way I'm going to see eye to eye with any Nirvana fans. In my opinion, it was garbage. Then again, people say similar about my favourite group (Rush). Opinions are like arseholes, everyone's got one (and they usually stink). =)

  • Well I think we can agree that Buckethead rocks!

  • I really couldn't see what was special about Nirvana...

  • Smells Like Teen Spirit is actually not even one of Nirvana's best songs (lyrically/musically), it's just one of the songs that record companies knew would be a hit with a mainstream audience which is why they shoved it down everyone's throats. Listen to their actual album's, I hate when someone hears a few songs on the radio and act like they know a band well. It didn't say "poet" on Cobain's death certificate for no reason.

  • i dont know who that was aimed at but you certainly kicked there ass

  • where do you think Big B learned to play. he grew up listening to satch and vai.

BH is still my favorite guitarist though.

  • could you guys please check out my cover of this song, its not as good as buckets but whos is?

  • its his mind that makes him such a unique musician not his long finger having long fingers can help help with big stretches but anyone can do the stretches buckethead does with a bit of practice. i have huge fingers but i still found some of the welcome to bucketheadland stretched hard

  • I would blow his mind for free.

  • buckethead i think i love you!! LOL!!

  • you really do just have to love this video, he's playing with so much emotion, and its just amazing, simple as that

  • you said it man, hes just blows me mind!

  • I KNOW!!! lol, hes amazing, technically perfect and has emotion and shred combined in such an awesome way

  • uhh bucketheads anatomic advavntages are apparent in his playing. he uses his fingers to make stretches that believe me, you or i cant make at speed if at all. in addition, he plays a guitar with a MUCH longer neck than most people use. he's taller than les claypool by a good deal. with the bucket on his head he's probably close to six eight but hes only about six six or six seven

  • Buckethead is actually 6'6"

  • longer fingers help though

  • that's no fair, he's so damn tall... I wish I can be taller sigh how tall is he? 6'10"? this guy's a monster height

  • Who cares how tall he is? It doesn't improve his playing or something..

  • my warlock has 24 frets=O bucketheads the best

  • sorry his a custom with 24 I have two studio's both with 22 frets

  • les paul 22 frets

  • this is fucking amasing and the camera on bucket is amasing!

    and the tone kicks ass!

  • there is still expresive and just plain good music out there, thank you buckethead

  • i wrote a little jam or whatever last night, thinking it was original. i've seen this video once ever, and it's the exact same thing as the first two minutes. i'm gonna kill myself.

  • i know, that happens to me too

  • check out my buckethead cover of this song at myspace . com/calebshafermusic

  • have you guys ever noticed that his tone knob is the head from a darth vader action figure.

  • wow how many frets does that les paul have?

  • its has 24 frets

  • It must be hot as hell in that mask.

Buckethead is a freaking guitar god.

  • ahhh...here we are THIS is Earth Heals Herself

  • some amazing footage at the 5-6 min mark. well its all amazing but the camera work/angle.

  • jizz material.

  • wow I love this video

  • does buckethead conduct guitar lessons?

  • dude...i got goosebumps from this...thank you blackdiesel for posting this

  • Best video on youtube by far and if u don't blieve me then email me at jeffz05!!!!!!

  • In alot of key places the camerawork on this is EXCELLENT...the solo is an encyclopedia of awesome licks

  • bucketheads real story is.....

he was born with a family and he was a regular boy and one day he took up guitar and he got serious in to it and then one night after watching micheal miers he went out and bought a white look alike mask and that night they had kfc he quickly had an idea ran to the bathroom put the bucket on his head and whispered "Buckethead....Thats me!"

  • Behind the tractor shed is where BucketHeads Brother plays with his pet dead crow, or so I was told...He found it between that big old crack in the shadow, going, ffffaaaarrrkkk, ffffaaarrrkkk, ffffuuuccccckkkk, I'm dead.

  • Best video I've seen yet.

  • genial video

    buckethead lo mejor

    yeahh!!!

  • His real story is hes the best fucking guitar player on earth.
