@hopeira4622 The reason most people do not get math is that they have limited knowledge of it. With algebra and calculus, think of it like a language. It is hard to understand a language that you know very few words and grammar of. You have to become familiar with all concepts. If you are confused about one part you'll be confused about all the processes that included it.

@hopeira4622 well if you dont get math then you shouldnt start by watching a video on integration. This is the foundation of calculus 2 which in many mathematicians opinion, is the hardest math class. You need to find out whats bothering you and attack it. being scared and "just dont get it" is a cop out. you dont win math wars by hiding behind emotions.

Algebra is the study of lines and parabolas / functions, calculus is the study of the rate of change on those lines and parabolas..aka (derivatives). Everything in the physical or mechanical world is governed by these things..like the GPS in your car for instance or the breaking point on a iron beam supporting your home or office. What happens when you have something like this: "integral { sqrt(5x + 1)dx " ??? When you convert the sqrt into a power of '1/2' how does it affect the coefficient of x? and how would you separate the 2 integrals?
