Shabaron, I´m sure you didn´t undestand the gig. The music is free to play your own improvement...and exacly it what Deodato is playing about... it´s a language just for few people speak!! best wishes for you
This is a pretty sweet performance. There are a couple others on here (with a full orchestra) that are WAY too-fast. You can't rush this one - ESPECIALLY with a full orchestra. It needs to groove, and how can you groove with an orchestra if your going way too-fast. It's like "Hey, moron! Where's the fire!".
yeah the guitar overplayed a bit, but I wasn't aware that you could adjust the pitch of a trumpet, which from my limited knowledge of brass instruments, is a B flat...To ensure correct pitch before a performance, all orchestral instruments as a standard practicetune to the A note from an oboe, which is the most difficult to tune...kbasu, when I first heard this at the age of 14, it sent chills up and down my spine...and still does today at the ripe young age of 52 :)
I was barely walking when this song came out. By God what a treat it must have been for people to hear it for the first time. This is why GOD gave humans the power of music.
I don't think it was "GOD", especially since this is based on Strauss' tone poem also sprach zarathustra, based upon Nietzsche's work of the same name, which famously declares "God is dead"!!!!!!
a trumpet is out of tune and the guitar is overplaying, Deadato blew minds when he came out with this way back, it got him a ton of work as producer and arranger...
That 1972 version of Also... is definitely the BEST one! 4 years after the film, and it was the No.1 pop hit in Australia for almost an entire year- the longest-running pop #1 of all time here, and still hasn't been surpassed. Performed excellently by this orchestra.
Thank you God (lol thats funny)I'm not that young but I was way too young back then, I'm gonna search for that album, it's a must have, I have to add that it was a well deserved grammy, this is a video that I enjoy watching over and over again. Once again my friend thank you for sharing. I appreciate it.

this music is JUNK. There should be a law against people producing such crap. Seriously, does this guy calls himself an artist?? If anyone likes this vomit-inducing music should seriously go and have himself checked, or maybe jump off a bridge or something. Pure junk
I think French Band Air's 'La femme d'argent' may have subconsiously been influenced by this much piece which was released as a record in the early 1970s.
You should all check out the Peter Sellers / Shirley MacLaine film Being There - the studio version of this is integral (from when Chance leaves the old man's house to when he meets Shirley MacLaine's character) - music in film doesn't get ANY BETTER.
What type of music is this? Is it a sort of jazz fusion? It sounds really cool, with the solos and using the orchestra in addition to more jazzy elements. Very very good.
I was very sceptical about this at first, but whát an arangement indeed! Keeps quite some of the bombastic euforia of the original, but it's of course very funky. Though I'm obliged to say, there are more classically orchestrated versions (on youtube) that move me a lot more. (The movie which just shows Strauss' head is the best performance if you ask me). Ah, this is cool though.
eyy they'r just having fun, how can u say this is a shitty version? the conductor tells the audience to calp lmfao this is musicians having fun at its best, and its just a pleasure to listen to soo enjoy it to the fullest i wish i was there tho
You mean I like to listen to a performance that is not drowned out by moronic hollering on the part of the audience and is also performed by people of talent .....
I would say they are all of talent. I suppose that you have some talent, to go around denying others theirs? And I believe that 'hollering' as you put it is people enjoying themselves. I suggest you blow the dust off your opera glasses and try to be a little more modern.
thanks for posting it, just wish it was better quality sound! i dnt mean to be rude, looking a gift horse in the mouth, and stuff, just its such a great track and its hard to enjoy with this sound quality and those peeps yelling all the time. three stars.
Thanks for posting, man! I saw Deodato´s Trio in São Paulo, Brazil, last month, and it was awesome!!!!

People in the crowd reacting to a performance is a simple reality of a live venue these days.
This is not the style of music which one sits down and listens to in quiet reflection.
