  • QUE MERDA!!!! EU QUERIA EM PORTUGUÊS!!!!

  • The Popples was a 30-minute cartoon based on a series of toys created by American Greeting Cards & Mattel. The show aired from 1985-87. These fuzzy, colorful and magical creatures could pull anything out of the pouches on their backs from a hammer to an elephant. They also flipped into their pouches to become balls of fur to bounce around or hide. The name "Popples" came from the popping sound they made when they sprang back out of a ball to normal.

  • First there is the fan then there is the vacuum! I Oh the memories.

  • i have a popples stuffed animal in my room aha and im 13 hehe

  • The voice acting is terrible, even for an 80's cartoon.

  • Those little things have such a contagious laugh.

  • They should bring this back.

  • i loved the poopels when i was a lil kid and im 25 and i still love it lol!:)

  • I don't remember being scared of their laughter as a child.

This is certainly interesting to watch, to see what I adored a child. Thanks so much for posting <3

  • Thanks for posting I loved these guys!!!!! And all 80s cartoons :)

  • @ajsgirlfriend206 Yup! Me too, I'm a definite 80's kid for life! This cartoon ofcourse didn't have the crazy action, and overstimulating laser blasting like many of the other 80's cartoons (I heart those btw), but a joy to watch nonetheless!!

  • The 1980's were a remarkable decade, and this video proves it. How can so many adults have such strong and fond memories of what are nothing more than half-hour, half-assed toy commercials? And my God, how many were there?!

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers I guess it lies in the eye of the beholder. Whether it was half-assed or not, it DID bring joy to a lot of people, as did a lot of cartoons from the 80s. But, quite frankly, you make it sound like that type of marketing rose and fell with the decade, when, if anything, commercial marketing of cartoons and the "sell out" mentality is probably stronger today than it ever was in the 80s. Hell, it's become a defense for people who want to milk franchises dry with remakes.

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers I'm one of those adults with the strong fond 80's memories! I sometimes wish I could literally go back in time and relive the good times I had watching the 80's cartoons!

  • YES!

  • miss this show soooo much.....

  • In case anybody's curious, it was RCA Columbia Pictures Home Video who released the Popples cartoons on videocassette, as part of their Magic Window line of children's videos.

  • the tape we had was the one where the popples were at a car wash

  • Kawaii!!!!! (cute)
