I've played through Crysis once and its expansion - replayed certain sections a few times and there's no real amazing dynamic to it. The AI and pathfinding is pretty dumb and the "unassigned tasks" is a fancy word for "doing nothing".

However, the second Crysis game will have a console addition - but with tuned down, almost embarrassing, visuals over what Epic Games and company showed us years ago. So don't pay too much attention to it as Crysis is just a benchmark anyway, really.

Actually... I don't know, I think I was still on the 1280x1024 during the time, as I got my new monitor around 28th December... Stupid of me not mentioning this in the description.
I guess it's a ISO-file. If you get a bunch of Rar-files, just click on one and extract the file to anywhere you'd see fit. Open this extracted file using PowerISO or Daemon Tools (there's others but these are common apps) and it'll emulate the file into a disc and from there you'll get the idea.
Personally I found this to be one of the worst games I've played in a long time. It's a glitch-orgie with boring characters and uninspired story and design.
Crysis does have the worst VTOL Flight Controls ever. They allow for some nice flight maneuvering, but are a pain to learn. Once you've played through Ascension a few times, you get the hang of them and realize they aren't that bad, but it is a horrible learning curve.
I've heard from a few people that supposedly, if you've set up your computer to work with an Xbox controller, the Crysis VTOL performs amazingly well, which if true, wouldn't surprise me. I can imagine Crytek using the Xbox controller for testing purposes.
I don't know, that depends on the model. As far as I know Macs usually pack in a questionable graphic solution, so it might work but not in a significant way.
Who are "They"? CryTek did FarCry, CryTek did Crysis - CryTek ain't doing FarCry 2. Which is probably a good thing, as FarCry 2 would otherwise end up as Crysis being the second game in the franschise and with FC2 as FC3.

The 2900XT isn't anything to recommend today and the 1GB version is just alot of money right down the toilet as you gain top 10% performance in rare, rare cases. I'd rather recommend HD3870X2, cost the same as a single new 2900XT and performs dramaticly better as slightly reduces effect.
You can activate up to 24xFSAA in the CCC, but that's virtually impossible no matter what rig or application you're running - how much Nvidia can perform theoreticly by utilizing the Ntune/drivers is not sure but 16xAA or alternative AA is as far as I remember the flashiest.
Let me ask you; what do you know about DirectX 10 more than that it is "exclusive" for Windows Vista? The DX10 settings is just layers that can be applied in Windows XP - with higher performance than under Vista. Your card will run at the same framerate under Fraps capture. Come back when you know what you're talking about.

I guess it's a ISO-file. If you get a bunch of Rar-files, just click on one and extract the file to anywhere you'd see fit. Open this extracted file using PowerISO or Daemon Tools (there's others but these are common apps) and it'll emulate the file into a disc and from there you'll get the idea.

Personally I found this to be one of the worst games I've played in a long time. It's a glitch-orgie with boring characters and uninspired story and design.
I'd call it the average EA Games publishment.

Crysis does have the worst VTOL Flight Controls ever. They allow for some nice flight maneuvering, but are a pain to learn. Once you've played through Ascension a few times, you get the hang of them and realize they aren't that bad, but it is a horrible learning curve.

I've heard from a few people that supposedly, if you've set up your computer to work with an Xbox controller, the Crysis VTOL performs amazingly well, which if true, wouldn't surprise me. I can imagine Crytek using the Xbox controller for testing purposes.

I don't know, that depends on the model. As far as I know Macs usually pack in a questionable graphic solution, so it might work but not in a significant way.

Who are "They"? CryTek did FarCry, CryTek did Crysis - CryTek ain't doing FarCry 2. Which is probably a good thing, as FarCry 2 would otherwise end up as Crysis being the second game in the franschise and with FC2 as FC3.

No, I wasn't getting caught by the tornados, I was getting caught by the senseless controls. Even Quake Wars had proper flight controls, but how come Crysis has such failed contros is in my eyes hard to tell.

The 2900XT isn't anything to recommend today and the 1GB version is just alot of money right down the toilet as you gain top 10% performance in rare, rare cases. I'd rather recommend HD3870X2, cost the same as a single new 2900XT and performs dramaticly better as slightly reduces effect.

You can activate up to 24xFSAA in the CCC, but that's virtually impossible no matter what rig or application you're running - how much Nvidia can perform theoreticly by utilizing the Ntune/drivers is not sure but 16xAA or alternative AA is as far as I remember the flashiest.

Let me ask you; what do you know about DirectX 10 more than that it is "exclusive" for Windows Vista? The DX10 settings is just layers that can be applied in Windows XP - with higher performance than under Vista. Your card will run at the same framerate under Fraps capture. Come back when you know what you're talking about.
