So far, I must report I've had no glitches. Please keep in mind, using compiz and other high usage programs require a good high GPU graphics card, a Good processor of at least a quad core, and a full 8 GB of memory with 64 bit. But if I happen to see any glitches in the future, I will quickly let you all know. Let it Roll!
Thanks for the info Nick, but I must tell you, that I have Zorin 5 ultimate 64bit, 11.04 Natty Narwhal as well. I have compiz working without any bugs or problems now for a week. I don't know what everyone is talking about Natty being awful.
@cominatyalive For those purposes, I would recommend Pinguy OS, really, really a great Operating System. I'm really liking it at the moment, and it's Ubuntu-Based. Mint also has most of the Compiz functionalities, but I am not exactly sure.
Compiz is horrible in 11.04, without a doubt. But, you can get it to work if you :
first disable openGL and composite to disable everything that uses them, then reenable openGL and composite. Then you can use desktop & rotate cube, wobbly, etc...
Not that I recommend it. By and far, 11.04 has got to be the most unstable scheduled release I've used from Ubuntu. Compiz isn't the greatest thing to try on a buggy release. Using Compiz on Natty is asking for a headache
@mvemjsunp I totally agree, it must be the worst Ubuntu Version I have used. Very disappointing. I'm not even going to attempt any Compiz effects, because I reckon something else will muck up due to it at the end of the line. In saying that, 10.10 was pretty poor, too.
I'm basically an Ubuntu Fan-Boy, and I have to admit that I'm using Fedora over Ubuntu at the moment, (as well as Gnome2 mode) and a bit of Gentoo!
@TheGeekSquadron I didn't really use 10.10, except for the occasional live cd usage(partition dead computers, or busted Windows, etc) but I really like the 9s and to be honest, Lubuntu (even 11.04). It's lightweight running lxde instead of gnome, and will run on just about anything with more than 256 ram.
Ubuntu is my favorite, but I haven't really gotten to know any of the others. Until now, the bugs haven't been bad enough to switch ovr. We'll have to see how quick they fix Natty.
@mvemjsunp Yeah, guess that's something, brushing up on my python and c skills, seeing as I am willing to contribute to the source, if it helps to fix Natty :D
Ahahaha I'm such a noob, I fully reinstalled ubuntu when I messed this up, there was no way I could find to fix it and I didn't install flash yet so I couldn't search YouTube :P

If you cannot use Zorin Natty what O.S. does one use to have compiz working without any flaws?
