  • Its funny that most of the people checking out videos already know Urdu =/ i'm actually trying to learn urdu but OMG it is sooo hard, and i thought chinese was hard =.= ,

  • @Yaiyasmin

Good Effort, Don't Mind People Saying Silly Things...

  • mujh ko malum hai k wo ache doctor hein (use of 'mujh ko'is rare)

mujhe malum hai k wo ache doctor hein (quite formal-in urdu writing or interviews etc we use such urdu)

mein janti hun k wo ache doctor hein ("mein janti hun" is common version of "mujhe maalum hai")

mujhe pata hai k wo acha doctor hai ("mujhe pata hai" is even more common version "ache doctor hein" is used for respect, we usually say "acha doctor hai")

mujhe pata hai wo acha doctor hai (most of the time we omit "k" - informal)

  • @younis0shahbaz

and it's pronounced as "k" (as English alphabet K is pronounced), not "ki"

  • @younis0shahbaz

    Very interesting Younis! My personal interpretation would be;

Mujhe malum hai = I am aware (of) that

Mein jaanta hun = (I know) as in aquaintence refering to a person

Mujhe pata hai = (I know) as in a fact known to me

I have to think more about this interchangeability ..

Mujhe pata nehi ke kia jaanta hun och kia malum hain.

Mujhe bas yeh malum hain ke (mujh ko / mujhe) kuch nehi pata hain.

  • @AsifBok

we can use them all interchangeably! :)

  • mujhe tum pasand ho....lol

  • veryy bad pronunciation!! wtf learn urdu properly then "try" to teach so BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheEljohara Very is written with one y and not two. At the start of a sentence you should use capital letters. Urdu is the name of a language i.e. a proper noun and therefore should be written with a capital U. You also need to pay attention to your punctuation and/or conjugation i.e "learn Urdu properly AND then "try" to teach" or alternatively use a comma; "learn Urdu properly, then "try" to teach".--- cont ---

  • @AsifBok this is youtube lol..someone needs to calm the fuck down!! You obviously copied and pasted it from somewhere kutta

  • @TheEljohara Watch your mouth homeboy, and watch what you call people, I have the power of blockage and I will use it!

  • @Yaiyasmin first i am a girl! and i am not insulting you but i am being honest ! maybe i am harsh but i believe if you want to teach you must have high quality vocational skills !!

  • @TheEljohara Well homegirl, I don't mind you being harsh or telling me my Urdu is bad but I do mind you insulting and calling other people names

  • @Yaiyasmin ok if i offended then I am sorry keep up the hard work! May I ask , which religion are you? I know from your videos your mixed spanish, swiss and pakistani..so do you follow any religion in particular..

  • @TheEljohara --- cont --- After that you either need to use a full stop before saying "So BAD!!!" or you should say " "try" to teach so BADLY!!"

Just a few things you need to work on before you run around making a fool of yourself. Oh and btw El in Arabic means THE, so in fact you have named yourself The The Johara (LOL)

Now go away and don't some back until you have written 100x The The Johara is a naughty boy.

  • thanks, nice video um... what book are you using again? cuz i went to my local bookstore and i couldn't find an urdu book anywhere :( suxs. please help lol

  • Yasmin, Assalam o alaikum,

App ne achi kooshish ki hai samjhanay ki.

Mujhko ya mujhe mein se "Mujhe" ziyada acha lagta hai .

aur Tujh ko ap Tumhain se tabdeel kar sakte hain.

Umeed karta hon ke ap ko aap ke sawal ka jawab bhi mil gaya hooga.

    Shukriiya.

  • acctully there is another way to say know. its a verb "janna" So instead of using the long form for "I know" you can just say "mein janti hoon". i'm learning urdu as well and I learned Janna and the long form. Anyway I hope this helps and best of luck continuing urdu.

  • @breealishes Cool, I've heard main janti hoon before, but I didn't kow if there's any differentce between that and ma'luum. Is there?

  • @TheAjaraj No I've never lived in Pakistan and I've only been there once in 2006 for 2-3 weeks touristing. • Hey YaiYasmin, the word ma'luum, is better pronounced as ma'lume (1.5seconds long) !! if you want to speak at a faster pace, you have to say MA'lume... for the MA to be heard dominant, otherwise it sounds like 'mlum' =) !! And by the way, my casual speech does not consist of that word, I would usually say *Patah Nahi*...Patah/Pata = ma'lume !! But mostly used within a group of friends....!! hope that makes sense?

  • Inhe is pronouced with english word "in" and then "he" with ä/æ HÆ

  • Another thing "Ki" is not used in Urdu it is more correct to say "ke"... Mujhe ma'luum (pata is also used) haiN ke....

  • it's getting hard to learn Urdu but u did great job simplifying it ,,,keep it up,i'm following ur lead :)

  • Nice hairstyle and no mistake yet ..I luv the Spanish language and felt amazing learning ..lol :P

  • Bohat achi hai yee Ustani :)

  • Urdu speakers say "MUJHE" always :) "MUJH KO" is something they say in India and never in Pakistan, dont ask me why :)

  • As always. great video, keep them coming. You look great as well :)

  • Mujhe, Tumhe , Humein are always betther than Mujh ko, Tum ko, or Hum ko.

    Rest is interchangeable.

    Well done

  • u look alot like my friends sister!

  • @helldx07 Is your friend my brother?? :P

  • @Yaiyasmin lol

  • Ainssss cómo me gusta ver a una española hablando tan bien en inglés!! Qué orgulloso haces que me sienta! ^^ (creía que este país estaba echado a perder... xD). Qué estudias en la facultad Yasmine?

  • appki urdu bht achi hai mara sa bi achi keep it up

  • you look different in every video... I clicked on your video thinking its not you lol

  • Your pronunciation of 'inhein' is correct.

Just wanted to point out a minute little thing. In your sample sentence "Mujhe maloom hai ki wo ache doctor hein", in Urdu we don't use 'ki', we use 'ke'. 'Ki' is strictly a Hindi word.

  • @imarsenalman That's very interesting, in the Urdu book I use it's transliterated into ki, but written in urdu kaf ye, so I got confused... does it mean the same in hindi?

  • @Yaiyasmin hindi speakers say "ki" and urdu speakers "ke". they have the same meaning :)

  • @Yaiyasmin Interesting! kaf ye is the correct spellings for ki (which in Urdu = 's). But the Urdu ke, meaning 'that', is spelled kaf hey کہ. Maybe author has an Indian background or some exposure to Hindi.

Yes, ki in Hindi and ke in Urdu both mean the same when used for 'that'. But if you use ki in Pakistan you are likely to raise a few eyebrows and get judged as a bollywood/star plus addict :p

  • @imarsenalman not star but deff. an addict!!!

  • In Urdu, mujh ko, tujh ko, hum ko and tum ko are not technically correct unfortunately. These are very commonly used but grammar books do not approve them. I remember in my primary school our grammar books noted use of mujh ko.. etc as some of the typical daily speech mistakes. Mujhe, Tujhe, Hamein and Tumhein are correct forms. Its same like in English where, to be proper, it is recommended to use 'my' instead of 'me' in "I love me country".

  • Super Nice

  • How do you say "would smash?"

  • nice work over all...u rock
