  • God damn it,why doesnt Ireland have an good sushi bars!!!! All u can get is Salmon (delicious as it is), tuna (nah) and sometimes mackerel (delish).

  • Wow, something must be wrong with me, because i smell sushi right now after watching the video ._.

Next time I go to Japan, i'm gunna attempt to do some restaurant hunting and find out which restaurant has the best food :)

  • ooooo, haha, kawaii namae. xD

  • yup, starting at around 2:27 with that plastic sign that says 'surume ika', there's those two little green turtle looking creatures, right?

    those are kappa.

so i'm just wondering why they're there.

  • Ah, okay, I understand what you mean. The restaurant it was filmed at is KappaZushi, it's a pretty popular franchise of kaitensushi places.

  • well, i grew up with sushi so i can't find why people find it disgusting... anyway, why's there kappa's?

  • i understand completely.

    "kappa's"?

  • selfridges do it, im yet to try it tho :D

  • Start with something light and easy that you think you can eat. Never force sushi on yourself. The real secret to it lies in this: do not think of sushi as RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW fish. It's "fresh" fish. And very good. Most of it has no taste beyond a "meaty" flavor, does not taste "fishy" or smell at all. Sushi is quite good. I hated fish when I first moved to Japan, loved fish after; gagged on fish before moving to Japan, but can eat a ton of it now. I KNOW it's all in how you think about it.

  • isn't sashimi the raw fish and the majority of sushi is just cold rice and something?

sashimi and sushi are amazing just get over it

  • Sashimi and sushi are the same with the exception that sushi is served atop rice and sashimi (lit. cut body) is not.

  • where is this place?

  • Kaiten sushi places are a dime-a-dozen in Japan. Every decent sized town/city over 50,000 has a fair share of them. It's like a McDonald's for sushi. They have all kinds of foods now too, mostly sushi, but all kinds... hamburger sushi, grilled pork or chicken sushi, etc. Miso soup is a standard, as is a few Chinese dishes and dumplings. Mostly it's so younger kids can enjoy sushi with their parents. They are family-orientated places. They are quite clean, well-lit and fun.
