@Cinqmil Hundreds of creationists have PHDs and can can use real science to expose the religion of evolution for what it really. I just don't have enough blind faith in magic to believe in evolution which does not even have enough evidence to be called a "theory. You believe in fairy tales and real science supports this view as the impossibility of evoltion.
@Bornagain271 PHDs in what? In creationism? If scientists stay true to themselves, no matter what their field is, they can only accept evolution. There is just too many evidence to be ignored (contrary to what you claim). Magic has nothing to do with science. Jeeez, where did you study?
@Trucidofy To this point, no one has proven to me that the Universe and life could possibly exist WITHOUT God. How did they get here if God doesn't exist? Oh, you don't have an answer? Then I guess I'll just keep believing in God.
@SpeX7X Believe in what you want, I believe we are all aliens from Zurgon, we came here on a mother ship in an experiment, the mother ship will be back to only get me because I am the only one that believes.
I don't believe in creation at all but I can't support the way Plimer went about this. Instead of getting adversarial he should have just let Gish talk. The whole audience would have come to the conclusion that Gish doesn't really know what he is talking about.
Are you really saying he doesn't have a right to bring up The Crazy stories in the bible just because he knows It makes no sense. That is the worst arrgument Iv heard ALL DAY.
He didn't attempt to electrocute him. If he had wanted to do that he would have put the wires on him. He knew that Gish wouldn't touch the wires, so it's obvious that he was simply making a point The point being that Gish, and other creationists, knowingly take advantage of the poor layman understanding of what the word "theory" means in a scientific context.
Gish got what he deserved, but not as much as he deserved.
Young Earth creationism is a lie and those who support it are deliberate and persistent liars. It exists to take tithes from the ignorant and the stupid for the pastors to pay off their churches and for the enrichment of a few.
It is a blight on Christianity, just as papal indulgences were centuries ago and at long last a few genuine clergymen with genuine degrees in theology are beginning to wake up to that.
Lesson learned: Don't debate creationists. They aren't scientific, so they shouldn't be taken serious.

Anyone who supports Plimer's tactics here reveals a lot more than their position on the subject being debated.
How many opponents attempt to electrocute the proponent?!

Bull crap, Ian Plimer lost his house in hopes to take the creationist to court.

Plimers book was written AFTER this debate not before. It was after he realized creationist would step around his questions.
