@loganandjoeyshow Ya, I guess you can say you guys won at heart in your minds, but cc won at heart in their minds, plus got the trophy. Williamston was the best team they played by far all year, but CC talent shined when it was all on the line. Big players come up in big games at big times.
@loganandjoeyshow if williamston "won the game altogether" then how come CC won in the end?? You make no sense. Go spam some other videos with your stupid crap.
That indoor Field was a place near Lansing (thats similar to woodland sports complex) where the team stopped to do a quick walk through, it is in no way owned by Catholic Central.
If recruiting is an issue, the private schools need a better recruiter. GRCC went 5-5 last year. The heaviest guy actually getting valuable time this year is 210 lbs. This years team walked in losing 17 seniors & starters on top of being lead by a brand new coach for the program.
Go look how many kids came from the Grand Rapids area Catholic grade schools before you cry the old public school excuse of "recruiting".
Many of the athletes that attend this school went to Catholic grade schools in the area. The reason that many go to this fine school is primarily reputation and tradition. Football coaches (or any coaches in that matter) have never in my recollection sat in front of the grade school doors handing out scholarships...If you want to go and hate why don't you go back 3-4 years ago Shorter and see how Kevin Grady's dad got in hot water for questionable recruitment at East Grand Rapids!
On a lighter note, I would like to congratulate the 2010 cougars for their state championship. Great work and get ready to defend it. Nice touch of coming to the Cathedral prior to playoff start...showed great solidarity! GO COUGS!
shorter123 you need to get your facts straight before opening your mouth. I am a proud CC alum and I find your accusations deplorable. I in fact was never a rich kid or even an athlete that was recruited (which is false)/paid for as you so ignorantly accused. I was the son from a blue collar family that did receive assistance from the parish that we attended to help decrease the cost of a great education. They DO NOT HAVE AN INDOOR PRACTICE FACILITY...Don't make me repeat this either!
obviously you dont know alot about Catholic Central football considering that isnt even our indoor field. We stopped at it on the way up to walk through plays idiot. And plus how can it only be a single guys considering the fact that if it wasnt for the other 10 guys doing there job on the field, that single guy wouldnt be able to make a single play. Its not about how much money you have in your pockets that wins a game. Its about how much heart you have to work as a team and win a game.
All I'm trying to say is that private schools do not play on the same level as public schools. For one just look at your video there are not any divison 4 schools that can afford an indoor field.
come on now chauncey don't prove my points. Do you really consider the firing of teachers something hard to deal with? That is disrespectful to anyone who has gone through hard times in their life. "It takes a lot of help from all of the GRCC Community for many students to get the chance to even come to CC." So your basically saying it takes a lot of effort for your rich alumi to get their pocket books out and pay for your athletes to attend the school.
"its going to take every single guy in here tonight...." expecially that black running back we recruited..."They don't frickin know what we've been through..." What have you been through? You recruit what you don't have and your daddy's buy you everything you want. Congrats on a 100 years of solid recruiting GRCC
@shorter123d Clearly you don't know what you are talking about and most likely lost to GRCC and are upset because of it. They don't even have there own field, they play on the other teams field or a community one. The boys on this team have played for years together, going from grade school. Just because they are private and are aloud to recruit doesnt mean they do. Those boys won fair and square putting everything they had into it...blood....sweat ....and tears
