I was there in the early 70's with my friends and family. It looks like nothing has changed in the last 40 years!
It was a resort for US Military Officers and their families back then. My friend's father was in charge of the resort. We had Hawaiian style pig roasts cooked all day in cooking pits on the beach. We travelled up to the Northern end of the island to scuba dive in the inland lakes and coral sea. We also swam and snorkeled all day here at Okuma. Great memories!
Many great times here as a teenager in the 80's!
