  • nice Guitar man

  • Very nice! do you have the tab?

  • awsome!

  • @AG3F yeah!

  • you ROCK!!

  • @remcovrees thanks man

  • YEAH AC MILAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @azzuri229 Yeah! :)

  • those yamaha sg's are so cool

  • @bigdbrew: yes they r!

  • awsome guitar

    poor player

    anyway keep practicing ;)

  • I guess that a player ( a good player) knows a sh**load more about it than me, what does the SG weigh in at man? I know they are heavy. I cant find any weight specs on them anywhere,

  • to tell u the truth, SGs are much lighter than les pauls. also easier to play in my opinion. i just got a gibson custom shop SG about a month ago. it's a 61' reissue. the things a beast. It weighs in at about 6.7 pounds. I'm playin it my new vid Out on the Tiles by Led Zep. It's posted on my channel if you're intrested. rock on man.

  • sorry, are you talking the SG2000 is lighter than the Les Paul? I know the Gib SG is very light, I was wondering what the yamaha weighs actually, cool vid on the Led Zep mate, you have some nice stuff,

My son is slowly getting better, just have to practice plenty

    Regards,

  • oh, sorry, for some reason i thought you were refering to my other SG. (probobly because i've been so glad to get my hands on one. It took a long time to save up enough money to get it.) the SG2000 is my dad's. it weighs about 9.5 pounds and gives you a real sore neck after playing a gig!

  • Hey no problem, I know what you mean about saving up to buy your SG. My son saved up and bought his Epi G400 in metallic light blue about 6 months ago and although he knows its not a Gibson he loves it dearly. I could buy a Gibson SG special in worn brown or worn cherry for arounnd $NZ900 but they probably would not freight it over to New Zealand. I looked at a real nice Yamaha Pacifica in yellow natural satin with coil taps but they would not send it over, I could learn on one of those LOL

  • ha, your location is a problem. Lucky me. don't have to worry about that.

  • @timj41 Gibson SG are not heavy that all they are lighter than the Gibson Les Pauls. the guitar his playing (born to be wild) is not an Gibson SG. i take a guess the SG weighs in about a couple of pounds if that.

  • @mikeytheskinhead

Hi there, thanks for your message, yes my son has an epiphone SG and they are quite light, I was referring to the Yamaha SG and I know they are not light, I really wondered if a Gibson Les Paul was heavier than a Yamaha SG2000. Cheers,

  • @timj41 i do think the Les Paul is heavyer that the yamaha, The Gibson LP is one the heavyist guitars i've ever picked up. thats why i do not like the Gibson LP that much. hope this helps thanks.

  • @mikeytheskinhead

Gotcha, sorry if I misunderstood. I really became interested in Yamaha SG's because Stuart Adamson played one and they seem to be a real quality product.

  • Holy shit!!! Are those spinex pickups?!?!?!?

  • Sounds great, nice playing! No need to get a Gibson, I'm pretty sure that guitar kills mosts of them.

  • thanks, and yup it sure does

  • get a gibson!

  • to tell you the truth, i'm extremely happy w/ this one. I am saving up 4 a PRS though.

  • fair enough

  • Why save for a PRS when u've got that baby? :D They are good guitars though (PRS)..

  • cuz that's my dad's guitar. (they all r) and i want to get something w/ my own money that i can call "mine". we're not gonna get rid of the yamaha.

  • The SG2000 is half the price of a gibson, has a 'through-neck', coil-taps, better build quality, creamier sounds and more beautiful IMO

  • the yamaha is a seriously underrated guitar and for build quality you cant touch it

  • Agreed i got a yamaha : ) sounds like like my les paul almost

  • @EndangeredSoup i agree, but there's one flaw. The thick layers of lacquer on the neck doesn't allow the hand to move as quickly as i like. but other than that it's an awesome guitar and i love it.

  • wat kind of guitar is dat

  • 1978 yamaha sg2000

  • Lucky man, if I could play this would be my dream guitar. My son loves SGs (has an Epi G400) and I see you can get a Gibson SG special for a seriously great price on the net. I tell him when he grows up and has a job he really should get a Yamaha, They have one in a local store (new) for NZ $5,495 which is still cheaper than a Les Paul and to be honest with my limited understanding I can not see any real benefit with the Gibson, fine guitar in every way but I dont see a clear advantage.
