I've cast my vote. Great idea with a poll! My "other" was this:
2 things - 1: we watch these games as "normal people" watch soccer = for entertainment. 2: Polls are a great idea! I would like to see more data from your viewers - age, rating, gender, fave chesssite
Also someone said "talk about what to avoid that a lesser play might try" - that's an interesting idea.
Just one thing: about your expirementing, could you try to play the Grunfeld as black. I think it was Botvinnik who said, " a player should play openings against his or her opponent, that himself, hermself hates to face themselves. Or something like that. Cheers.
You are an inspiration to us all. Keep up the good work.
I can't speak for everyone but I'm pretty sure that all those who avidly follow your videos wishes you continued success and hopes that one day you convert your CM status into an IM status.
above all, the most useful thing you do for us developing players is explaining aspects of the position, then illustrating these ideas with your play (or getting it wrong, trying to illustrate it, then showing us why, say, some piece *looked* strong but wasn't). my chess strength has increased dramatically from this.
I think the positional and dynamic elements offer the most instruction. We all know the rules about avoiding doubled or isolated pawns. It's interesting to see when and how these rules can be broken effectively.
just your natural game playing to win - you've improved my French defence and my King's Indian -being a level down it's of more use to me watching you than it is for your peers (few in number) and those two or more levels lower...maybe give the Sicilian a go every now and then -i ask only from selfish reasons b/c i roll it out once in a while myself...always love to see FM, IM, GM scalps whatever their rating...the GM swindle was the best...just carry on doing yr own thing and go with the flow
KC -- I think the games where you play your pet systems are far and away the best for learning about overall chess strategy that applies not only to blitz, but also longer time controls as well. When you start getting into commentary about usefulness of some moves in certain variations and emphasizing expanding our knowledge bases and tactics in key positions, I definitely learn the most.
Post mortem is, of course, always appreciated as well. Thanks again Tryfon!
After seeing some of the "other" comments, I agree that posting more losses would be nice. I know that you have posted some losses in the past, but more recently it seems like if you are getting destroyed, you manage to win on time. I know that time is just as much a part of chess (especially blitz) as the moves themselves, but discussion on what the opponent did right, rather than your inaccuracies would be helpful.
I voted a few + other: Aesthetically pleasing games =). One of my votes is for "Gambits being played" but that's because I like the risk you take. It makes for more tension and suspense and that's fun to watch.
If you could post losses as well that would be good, because some people may think that they should be winning all their blitz games, however losing is just a part of the game, and they need to learn this aspect of chess as well. Someone once said "without losing we can't improve".
I assume most people who watch this, including me, are not only looking for entertainment, although I conseder bullet games only good for enterteinment, but are trying to learn from your style of play. Consequently they would seem to profit more from games which demonstrate the positional imbalances that you explain so brilliantly and show how to exploit them and not the crude winning on time strategy which is used in bullet. 5 minute is good enough for that , but Id really appreciate 10 minute
@ANSIcode I watched the 5min games purely for entertainment personally. And the time scambles are very funny. I believe the chess improvement is deeply covered when KC annotates master games and also his own games. However I do agree it would be nice to see KC experiment with longer time controls, especially now that he's a partner and can post videos in excess of 50 mins! However need to be weary that his opponents aren't using engines.
Of course you are right, that the engine-checked and very acurate games of masters, that dont leave room for blunders etc., are more suited for improving the skill of positional evaluation. In fact I guess, Im mostly watching these 5 minute games for entertainment too, even if I do not admit it to myself. Still the amount of positions and stategical concepts as well as interesting positional experiments are hardly possible in the anotated games.

I love the Smith-Morra Gambit. As well as when you imitate styles of other players. Also I enjoy the comments at the end. Thanks for all you do, KC.

I like any 5-minute game where you explain WHY you make a move (provoking weaknesses for example). These help me the most.
The games that ENTERTAIN me the most are obviously your attacking games. Those are a lot of fun!
Cheers!

I like
1) games that aim for brilliancy moves.
and
2) games against much higher ranked players.
the most.
