  • You kidding right?wtf is this???you have no clue about jkd and you put bruce into shame!!

  • that was great

i learned alo of jkd, when i was younger

    now its evolved even more

im signed up for capoira for fitness , but will definately get back into jkd

i used my kali , arnez escrima to juggle fire,,made me so much cash

  • MAYBE THIS IS JKD , BUT "IN SLOW MOTION" AND PERFORMED

  • JKD?????where??..................

  • this is wing chun not jkd

  • sorry, but this is not JKD!

  • 32 people dont know where JKD came from or just like cards and weed

  • @zzachofboyd

I like weed, AND i know where JKD came from, AND i am an avid martial artist.

  • @bkzunltd000 if you look at the finger you miss all that heavenly glory.

  • @zzachofboyd

yeah that's pretty cryptic and all, and i understand it and all too... but i don't understand how that applies

  • @bkzunltd000 well guess i should clear this up a bit so this doesn't go to far. what i meant was this along many other things is a part of jkd. all martial arts are a part of jkd or at least there all allowed. even this attempt to not make some random enemy in youtube land is jkd. my original post only meant to say that if you gave a thumbs up to dealsaces420 or whatever dudes name was, either you dont get jkd or you just like his name.

  • @zzachofboyd

pfft dude i could care less about making random enemies on youtube. I just didn't understand what you were saying is all. That 's the problem with the internet and with texting...there's no inflection.

  • cheesy mortal kombat music. :P

  • I heard from someone that Bruce Lee was not able to complete his teaching when he taught JKD. With that being said, is it true that the modern JKD is incomplete? Thanks in advance for the reply.

  • I think that this is more of the Jun Fan JKD concept which had alot of the wing chun core structure involved. Bruce had later discarded alot of this foundation and moved on to divising more western boxing, fencing, savate, akido..etc and other tools from other styles. But hey Jeet Kun Do is a concept and it constanty changes and improves, there is no right or wrong, I like the video!

  • fing use the freak in zoom button!!!!!!!!

  • course of the dragon

  • this is soo gay

  • Slow. Fail

  • Too bad this isn't from another angle you could see what they're doing better (the whole hand to hand in the beginning) Sheesh I do tae kwon do now and I still get mixed up with the sparring differences. Sticks HURT when you get tagged by one. Thanks for the vid :)

  • MMA is not the best, its a start.

  • @fanfanfrpmac yes I agree... what?

  • الله يلعنه متعافي

  • es wing chun wakwkkjwjkw

  • What is wing chun?

  • @ZapPp00 uhm... from what i've read, it's like the basis of jkd?

    Bruce Studied it.

  • @asianrelrel thanks

  • @asianrelrel Wing Chun was possibly Bruce Lee's first martial art. Most of the strikes in Bruce Lee's JKD originate from Wing Chun. Also the dummies used for JKD training originate from Wing Chun.

  • @hegone93 lol the thing i didn't know was that they used dummies. i had no idea >.>

  • esto no es jkd es wing chun, por cierto bruce lee empezo con wing chun

  • Yeah that's wing chun for sure... Lol.

  • this is wing chun....

  • this is low class crap...

  • Isso não é jeet kune do, isso é wing tsun.

    Boa arte tbm.

  • what jeet kune do is this albany jeet kune do?

  • that looks a lot like wing chung

  • this is gay

  • esto mas que jkd es wing chun, lo que no entiendo es porque lo ponen como jeet kune do

  • chinese are Japanese's dogs.

  • who know the name of the tune at the start please

  • Comment removed

  • i hate that mortal kombat song already

  • bruce lee was a thinker as much as he was a fighter r.i.p.

  • as much as i'm a fan of mortal kombat, i gota admit, using this song for this fight is kinda corny

  • oh my gosh what the fuck is this style meant to be :D

  • Comment removed

  • Kav ma gaa is the real martial art,

  • That's Wing Chun and tons of kicking = typical Jun Fan Gung Fu. That's totally what Bruce Lee used - great Wing Chun skills and kicking kicking kicking

  • He also had a boxing influence in his style aswell.

  • hey, if you name gung fu to jkd, thats incorrect. mr lee named it as jkd for us people to determine this art of fighting without fighting. theres no real name for the art of jkd.

  • He created his own style - Jun Fan (his name) Gung Fu (achievement). Jeet Kune Do is a philosophy, that you should stop the attack in the beginning or strike first. You're right, there's no name for the art, because it doesn't exist. Everyone creates his own jkd.

  • o.o this looks more like wing chun. or maybe i dont know my styles well enough. =/

  • Wow. That was really fun to watch. You guys look like u had a good time.

  • 3:03 mortal kombat theme? lol jkd is pretty nice tho

  • well that waz terrible

  • JKDo was never conceived as an art but as a way of thinking. Fighting is the secondary part of it. To say the art died with bruce is a disgrace to jkd and bruce himself. His fighting style was the way he interpreted JKD and the concepts he left behind was only the foundation. he always was again routine and the systematic which is martial arts. JKD was the way one could break free and make there limitations work for them. Also it was about the coexistence between you and your opponent.

  • yes bruce speaks of the relationship between you and your opponent on a few occasions and it makes sense.

  • love and respect your enemy.

  • @lovejones228 are u bruce lee? no. so how do u know what his thoughts were about JKD, i bet ur not even a martial artist urself

  • Comment removed

  • @DeloWaters Read Tao of Jeet Kune Do. It will answer about his thoughts toward JKD and look at couple of his interviews. As far as my MA skills it would be easy to tell you "yes" but you will only have a smart remark to say so I will say this. If you are ever close to Augusta, GA, USA drop me a line because seeing is believing not just typing. In the meantime find another way to use your time. Trying to talk down to someone online is a very cowardly move. Be brave my friend :)

  • @lovejones228 EXACTLY!!! THANK YOU!!!

  • jkd is concepts the art itself died with bruce

  • yep true.

  • this is wing chun kuen, chi sao techniques

  • As for the third section, Bruce Lee got the better of Kenpo strate away. He just hit the hand, "no more stick", People in a real fight are not so polite to each other as in this demonstration and the martial art should be applied in a way that takes this into account or it wont help you in a fight. Traditional Wing Chun taught correctly does, just this.

  • at first it looks like chi sau from Wing Chun but applied in a 'patacake patacak'e ,'kids in the playground' way. I dont know why the crowd gave applause. The second section does look better though.

  • it's an un-style. it just is. listen to bruce talk about it in interviews.

  • Dude that's wing chung lol

  • wikipedia Jeet kune do and read what its really about. extrememly facinating

  • Comment removed

  • This the memoriable late Bruce Lee left

  • i understand that Bruce created his own style.he combined many things and used it all. every fight is different.he knew that.

he wanted people tobe openminded about his art and fighting.think about it people.....

  • no style concepts U.U

  • i think this is a debate with a very long life.

  • no, it is a style. JKD has its distinctive stance, punches, kicks that is very different than other arts.

  • most i repeat concepts not syle concepts not style not distinctive it uses all forms so not a style concepts understand punch there is a standard but u use any in the moment which works

  • yes I agree that JKD is very much a concept for it is a philosophy behind the application. Nevertheless, it is a distinctive style. JKD is not a free style type of MA. A JKD instructor will teach u the proper way how to stand and execute a punch/kick and tell u how it is different from Muoy Thai/TKD(or fill in the blank)and why it is more effective this way. It incorporate other martial art styles and refined it. If u look at the history of MA which styles isn't derived from other styles

  • this is stupid u wanna be right and so do i and we both have good points so lets leave it at that my last word will be: Bruce Lee said: Jeet Kune Do is not a new style of kung-fu or karate. Bruce Lee did not invent a new art composite style, nor did he modify a style to set it apart from any existing method. His concept was to free his followers from clinging to any style, pattern, or mold." there for it cant be a style becuase it was made so people dident stick to style so it cant be one

  • You are all wrong. If you actually knew anything about JKD then you would know that this most certainly is JKD, if it useful to you. ANYTHING is JKD. Its is the way of no way. The style of no style. Absorb what is useful. JKD is not a "Style" and Lee would be turning in his grave that it is being viewed as such. It is a way of thought. Actually read the "Tao of JKD" and you may have intelligent input on the subject.

  • yes no style concept very awesome thank u for making it clear to every viewer U.U

  • this is garbage.

  • this is win tjun!!!!!1

  • jeet (judo)

    kune (kung-fu)

    do (Tike-wan-do)

  • Thats no Jeet Kune Do, thats Wing Tsung

  • jajajajajjajaj is judo bruce lee is the best in art martial of world

  • I agree with the jist of ur argument, but if u think all Bruce Lee was was an actor, you are sorely mistaken!

  • Actually he was a 100% martial artist.. his acting skills were not that great...

  • this is judo ...

  • this is not jeet kune

  • JEET

  • THIS ISN'T JEED KUNE DO!

  • this isnt JKD... this a couple guys doin wing chun.

  • Yeah ist wing chung position is wrong

  • @DealMeAces420 its not JKD or wing chun its wanton chow soy

  • @DealMeAces420 JKD is a branch of of Wing Chun. They are very similar. In JKD. There are Wing Chun punches and such like that.

  • @DealMeAces420 noob wing chun

  • @DealMeAces420 no actualy i think its JKD because it comes from wing tsun and some of thouse moves are not from wing tsun

  • JKD was supposed to be a concept, a way of thinking! Not a style! Thats exactly what JKD is against!

  • I agree,these people must die,lol jk

  • agree

  • hell ya

  • what is this shit?!

  • this is wing chun

  • ok dumass its a part of jkd so shut up

  • it isn't a part of JKD the foot positions are wrong JKD is fighting on a line

  • yes is wing chun its call the sticky hand it meant for practice of feeling your oppentent strenghth, skill and style its kinda like a friendly match before a fight

and develop JKD based on WC so learning sticky hand is normal

  • Do you really think, this is jeet kune do?

    I don't

  • take-down obsession, 2/3 in left lead stance, high kicks...no it sure ain't.

  • si bruce lee viviera,su jeet kune do seria lo maximo.

  • it looks like 2 litlle girls are fighting

  • Because the Wing Chung style was founded by a Female. But its mostly meant for close range attacks within a limited space.

  • Comment removed

  • true

  • that's not right, you are tottally irrelevant .... this thing they are doing is called chi sao ... it means sticky hands .... it allows you to let the energy pass through your hands ..... after practicing this for 6 months or so you can fight your opponmenth with your eyes closed .... after some time you can fight 2 enemies, eyes closed ... it's wing chun style, the first martial art of bruce lee .... taught by ip man .....

  • whats the name of the soundtrack???

  • thats wing chun tht bruce lee did learn and was his foundation to success threw a martial art based on hands and one threw feet he became the best but jkd is alot diffrent i no tht

  • ma nn è il jkd

    è il wing chun!!!

  • yes your very right mayt wing chun

  • bruce lee was the founder of JKD

  • motherfucker bitxch

  • lies, not jeet kune do

  • thats wing tsun

  • this is win chun and hapkido

  • what the hell thats not jkd

  • definately not yet JKD, just wing chun

  • JKD (which is sourced for Wing Chun) does use chi sau! The stance is different though. More staggered like boxing. Look and their feet and you'll see.

  • yeap, that's what I've been seeing, and also JKD use some high kick when wing chun only do low kick

  • sure it is JKD

    they do chi-sao...

    thats all

  • This is WING CHUN ! Not Jeet Kune Do.. Jeet Kune Do don't do all that handmovement like they're doin now.. Jeet Kune Do just strike it seeks an Open quickly and strikes.. they don't do this Handmovement for verylong.. only Wing Chun does this.

  • Bruce realized when he made Jeet Kuen Do that wing chun was correct to use chi sau. It helps develop reaction time and sensitivity. Thus, trapping hands come along with it.

In all actuality, JKD uses the most useful things to the practitioner. It is not a set style, everyone's version of JKD is different. His version was called Jun Fan Jeet Kuen Do.

  • does jkd contain chi sau?

  • jkd o kendo?

  • It's note I JDK,I Wing Chun

  • They look like their doing a dutch rudder lol

  • BOOOOOOOOOO THIS SHIT SUCKS

  • what is you talkin bout bruce lee devolped this and you suck suck dick

  • what is the first background music?

  • This looks more like Wing Chun.

  • AWESOME!~

  • i just heard a mile away that dan inosanto was saying......@#$%

  • dude, dan inosanto would destroy these guys, not that he would fight, but i have been to one of his seminars, and, hes the fastest man i have ever seen. at age 70

  • no ,really?you should be greatfull,im a filipino and i havent seen him yet in person.

  • i am gratefull, it was one of the most memorable experiences ive ever had. its funny tho, he's never actually been to the phillipines, at least he hadnt a year ago

  • That IS Jeet Kun Do, I MUST ADMI and IMO, of course, as others will NO aree, bu i KNOW thats JEET KU DO!!! Its an all round Mixed SAmplings of the movements that can be done EASIER in these to be hoest Fixed stles, like "Wing Tsun", bu then comes i the MIXED MARTIAL ARTS, that is JEE KUN DO my fellow peeps!!! ITs all Free Flowing, but a BAD exaple of the speed that JEET KUN DO is so Usefull with also though!

  • hOly crap!... how could you disgrace the legend? show some respect of his art. thats not the way Master Bruce Lee move your slow and have no fashion of your art look at yourself moving like a worm... Bruce Lee is great on it so if you want to be known to the world go and study to one of Bruce Lee's subordinate.... you assholes... showing for money

  • the results of an instructor that just mixes a few styles together and decides to call it a branch of jkd. Disgraceful... Dishonering Sifu Lee as far as im concerned. They should train under Jerry Poteet or Dan inosanto if they want to learn correct jkd. Oh well... everyone to their own

  • 100 % agree! this garbage is NOT JKD it's a weak imitation of wing Chun.

  • Esto es chi sao!

  • this shows NOTHING of what jeet kuen do is all about. It's a show saying "join us so we can have your money". Ridiculous

  • BudoRuben you know nothing. Kung Fu is just simply any Chinese martial art. Bruce trained in Wing Chun first, where he incorporated some of it into JKD.

  • It's looks like jeet kun do but it's wing chung? or not? i saaw cleavy hands technique's and wing chung move's but maby jeet kun do looks like wing chung it's both came from kong fu. and are specialised in fast hand techniques

  • chi sao..

    signed:

QTA student of Mike Rutter and Sifu Ted Wong

    st cloud mn

  • it looks like a freaking karate kata, bruce lee could be disgusted to see this shit; JKD is supposed to be fluid, and simple, no choreographed.

  • damn fucking right, this is a disgrace

  • finally someone who think like me

  • STICKY HANDS!!!

  • What the- I'm not convinced. Looks more like choreography. If that was a real non-lethal fight then his pretty damn good. Good MMA. As for JKD, well everyone familiar with JKD know it's more than just kickboxing and grappling at a non-lethal competition or a stage. Nice show though.

  • 作秀

  • look this is what bruce wanted for us to take everthing we can learn and what we are good at and make it work for you,jkd is not the same for every one and for the ones that say bad words talking about this you will never git it anyway.and ufc vs on the street not the same .a women made wing chung to beat a man she was small she sad if you beat me am yours but she won so a real fight no rules dont mater how big you are some of you must be kids you dont no what you are talking about

  • thats very true

thats the best mindset for any martial artist

  • i have to add one more thing the man weighed like 100 pounds so he would have goten crushed by any real fighter he didnt even weigh enough to be a light weight so no one can say he could have beat some one like forest griffen bruce lees hits wouldent even hurt an avarage sized man.

  • on average a winbg chun practitioner can hit a man over 100 times a minute. speed can equal power, and technique plus speed means power is useless

  • yes but with out power you mide as well just hit with feathers lol power speed and skill togeather make one deadly not just speed and skill power is just as important as the others

  • im not saying power isn't important

but in a real fight none of that matters at all really

what matters is getting out alive

in a controlled fihgt ill admit power is of utmost importance

  • i agree

  • Bruce Lee's fighting ability is a myth for fucks sake you people need to grow up if he was so fucking fantastic why did he never hold a world title o thats right he was too busy fucking acting...

  • your a myth -how the fuck do you know how good he was --did u live with him -you just talking like a lymme

  • i agree i think bruce lee had good thoughts on martial arts and i think he was a great actor thats the only reson i like him he was not a great fighter though he only had 5 maybe 6 fights in his life practice is the only way to be great and he was to focused on acting to be great thats just my opinon anyways he still owns though lol

  • wasnt he teeaching a lot of people and he discovered his own fighting style, u must be good to do that so stop hatin u assbutts.

  • he didnt discover his own fighting style he took all the other ones and siad ill just use them all and call it an new martial art but dont get me wrong e is a great martial artist none the less its just when people call the best its not true there are othere much much much better then bruce lee was and could ever of been.

  • Jeet Kun Do is of course Bruce's Art which he says (approximatly) was influenced by his background in Kung Fu. It, like the animals of the world was molded thru adaptation vs the surrounding styles of the time which were very traditional and comparitivly stylized. I think you all are right, I think bruce's JKD is the ultimate idea in martial arts because it encourages innovation. And the true aim of any real life fight is to adapt and use your dynamic ability to out punch kick- maneuver

  • What most people don't understand about Jeet Kune Do is that it's more of a concept rather than a fighting style. Incorporation of many different styles of martial arts, knowledge, and philosophies is the key to find ones own style (which is having no style.)

At least I think that's what it is.

  • if only Bruce would see how we are talking to each other about the different styles of martial arts. He would tell us to learn from what is around us and pay less energy in arguing and LEARN... from other people and other cultures

  • This resembles more of Wing Chun
