  • Two months ago I tried to show my splits to my dance teacher after several months of training. I warmed up and did the necessary exercices to ge my legs ready for the splits. I went down and when I reached the ground, I felt a weird thing like a bone was dislodged in my hamstring. Turns out, I pulled my hamstring. I am recovering now and I just saw a physiotherapist. By the way, I'm thirteen.

  • @CheerioBlabla omg that is excatly what ive went and done! and im 13 omg :) it hurts

  • Thanks, this helped a lot!

  • Thanks.

    That

    was

    quite

    helpful.

  • pulled my hamstring at dancing last night and i cant even walk, sit or lay down without it hurting !

  • great ill try it out

  • i have a pain in the lower back hamstring and it hurts whenever i flex it, do i have to do this treatment to heal it?

  • @bowwowbabymamma basically I just let it alone for awhile. But if you need stretch it, ice and heat or even just heat can make it feel a lot better. When I leave it alone for awhile and even if I use heat and ice, I get my splits back right away. But sometimes you have tonstretch a little. In that case, stretch intensely for a week straight and you should get the splits back.

  • Every now and then I pull my right hamstring. Whether its stretching splits or straddles or heel stretches. I almost always have to stop stretching, then I go back to stretching and get my splits again. Recenty I've been taking a dance camp and before i wanted to relearn my splits. I did relearn them. But after the first day of camp I lost my splits again and I am even farther From the ground than when I first started stretching for splits. To top it off I have a pulled hip flexor. This sucks.

  • @DeMiRoxmysox02

hi i know this is kinda akward. but i strained my left hamstring doing a heel stretch. and since you would know more about that certain situation than what others can give me. i was wondering. hoow long did you wait to stretch again. basically, what did you do to reduce the pain and regain your flexibility. this is the first that this has happened to me and since you've experience it. i thought it would be better to ask you

  • I pulled my hamstring today playing football (American Football). To be honest, it was kind of comical how it happened. I was breakin' this guy off of a nasty juke move to the outside and - WHAM - my hamstring tightened up like Joan Rivers' face before a TV appearance. I managed to limp myself to the ground like a man who had been shot while running.

Anyways...I've got the ice & ace wrap going...but I'd be happy to just be able to walk tomorrow.

    Thanks for the video.

  • lol i was just laying down on me bed and moved my leg real fast and it just happened, it felt like someone was stabbing the back of my knee......hurt like hell

  • I pulled my biceps femoris right next to my knee. Ive rested for two weeks and when i straighten it i hear a pop on the place i pulled it. It was a grade two tear. Can anyone tell me if this poping is gonna go away?

  • i pulled a hamstring doing bar stretches in ballet but i also do allstar cheerleading and now i cant do a bow and arrow or heel stretch without it hurting

  • I'm 17. I did some stretching during 2 months. However, I never did any warm up with the stetches before going to bed. After, one month and a half, I was able to do the right front split(I was always doing warm-up for the split.) Three weeks ago, I tried to do the split without any warm-up. I bouced a little bit during the split and the muscle was stiff all day long. Now, I can't do the split and I stop to stretch my harmstring. I hate this injury!

  • I pulled my hamstring 2 months ago in one of my soccer games..it has been hurting ever since I can walk without pain but trying to flex my leg hurts alot..and I can't run 100%

  • yea. u should do 15 min on 15 min off

  • is it possible to pull a hamstring in your sleep? i think that's what happened to me. i woke up with an annoying pain in the back of my leg from the knee pit up to the bottom of the bum cheek.

it hurts mostly when i sit in a normal position but when i rest and elevate it it feels fine for the most part.

  • Dude do you get up and do stuff a lot? How do you pull something in your sleep...

  • turns out it's not a hamstring pull. should have known since a hamstring pull probably hurts all the time whereas my condition only hurts when i sit down.

the doc says it's a condition called SCIATICA which is a pain going from the lower back, through the butt cheek and down the back of the leg. most of the pain is in the butt cheek.

    want to touch my sciatica?

  • oh didnt read your sencond comment.. nvm

  • Hey as stupid as it sounds i was wondering the same exact thing. I woke up the day and my hamstrings were hurting alot. but down a bit, almost behind the knee. How long did it take for yours to heal and what did you do to heal it..

  • it is very much possible . even i got it many times. best thing to do is to simply relaxing in the same position(preferably not either stretching or tottly folding) and just trust on time..

for permanent solutions , simply do streching excesises to thigh regions.

  • ay i pulled my hamstring at football practice about 2 months ago.n i stil hav pain at summer work outs.yo the best thing to do is follow wat this guys says cus he so right bro or u will INCREASE your recovery time by alot!!!!

  • ice is good to help it heal...but in the minutes directly after the pull, the best thing to do is have somebody rub the hell out of it..it will cause the cramping to go away with in seconds..

  • thank you so much!

  • your awesome, thanks

  • thank you

  • thank you
