The reference to "Energy Medicine" is a widely accepted term referring to Donna Eden's work on the subject. Carol Ann teaches Donna Eden's methods in her program and uses the term in reference to her.
Carol Ann is a clinical social worker who has had extensive experience in the 'professional' field working with trauma cases. It is from that experience that she discovered the effectiveness of Energy Psychology and why she so strongly advocates it.
Her program covers a wide range of methods for self healing and working with others and rather than a 'my way' formula students are encouraged to think for themselves and choose a direction that best suits their needs and the needs of others.
There is a HUGE difference between doing EMDR with and experienced MD psychiatrist, and a psychotherapist, with any amount of training. I've experienced this, and written about it professionally. The conclusion we reached is that EMDR is a tool for psychiatry, but no one should trust their mental health to anyone with less than an MD or PhD (not a PsyD). Buyer beware. If store front healers help you, you have a placebo deficiency. Or so the peer reviewed journals say.
Is this real, or parody?
Wasn't this person the actress in KookTV's False Memories?

If it can be practiced by a social worker, it should not be called "medicine".
This seems like some diversion from the difficulty Canadian citizens have in accessing psychiatric care.
