Nice catch!I catch them often fishing the Saugeen river!You can eat them,you just have to make sure to take the 'red' part out of the fillet.They taste like a shellfish because of their diet of crayfish and muscles

@KentuckyAnglers Ive caught 2 in my entire life, both by accident, but do they ever put up a fight! At one point the thing ran 40- 50 ft of line off my reel in seconds.

@SetTheHookProduction i've probably caught around 30 within 3 trips of fishing size about that big. Their pretty to catch but yeah, put up a real fight

wow. ive caught 5 pounders trolling of walleye, but nothing like that.
