  • Its alive! ALIVE!

  • I don't think it counts but I hit the Like button at least a 100 times anyway.

  • It always did sound to me like a message direct from God . . . .

  • He's sponsored by Holday Inn.

  • This was all toccata and no fugue. Still cool though.

  • You stare at this long enough, it looks less like lightning and more like they're performing a ritual to summon evil spirits from the machine.

  • YES LITTLE BITCH! EVERYBODY HEARD THAT THE MUSIC WAS SCARY! Gosh...

  • Dear Santa...

  • Rofl the kid "Scary music" id be more afraid of the bolts of lightning flying everywhere than the music

  • Holiday Inn is not going to be happy when they see the electric bill

  • 0:50 that is epic

  • But... It's the part after this that's the best part of the song

  • This is my favorite piece by Bach, and this is quite the rendention.

  • I guess 3 people were scared of the music.

  • @XXfartmunkiesXX No, those 3 people tried doing this with wands without a Faraday suit :(

  • toccata + lightning = Metallica?

  • This video is mislabeled, it is just the Toccata.

  • @DonDaMoniker no at :50 is when fugue starts the just don't have the next like 5 mins. or so

  • 3 People think this is scary music.

  • @sebsnakebite It still almost is, to me.

  • Do not try this at home

  • I bet that they were baroque after they set this up.

  • @OblivionMaster79 I see what you did there.

  • What? No fugue? I waited that long and didn't get to hear the best part?

  • ITS ALIIIIIIVE!

  • this shit right here hit me harder than any dubstep or dnb i ever listened to ! SICK

  • Whoever is playing the keyboard on these, are masterful.

  • @SysadminsWithGuns It's actually the electricity making the sound, it's just computer-regulated

  • and here you cant see these anoying powersaving people!

  • Tesla would be proud

  • I didn't think this song could get better. I was wrong.

  • I wish it was the whole piece. That was only the first part.

  • i need to see u at a concert imediately

  • LOL LOVE THE LITTLE SCARED KID NEXT TO THE CAMERA XDDD

  • ok .. im accepting the fact that those are not the "real" Tesla Coils (as nobody could ever figure out how Tesla got them going) .. but its still simply awesome :)

  • @DeeDeeKL they are real, just at a smeller scale. The schematics we have are refined versions of Tesla's original design, TC's today are at the advantage of having vacuum tube and solid state designs, which can be modulated as seen above. we've come a long way since Tesla's simple spark gap coils, even though he did build them as tall as a small house. (which someone has repeated, look up "BIGGG TESLA COIL OF OKLAHOMA")

  • Bach is watching this wherever he is and smiling.

  • I can almost smell the ozone.

  • can i charge my phone please

  • @baggyaxewound New Concept of the future. (small TC stations, buy a particular reciever for your phone, drop and charge. :P for the airports. o.O weird concept, but thoroughly possible. XDDD that is how those little drop and charge phone things works. EMFs. also the "wireless" toothbrush chargers. All of them are a very simple version of tesla coils. An EMF will be generated by wrapping ininsulated wire around a metal thing and running a current through the wire. Very simple.

  • IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!

  • Scary music.

  • 2 people were the ones talking near the camera.

  • Pure evil, so sick!! Imagine traveling back in time and showing this to Bach himself

  • @zerosk8erfreak15 He would say "What the magic!!!?"

  • Meh. It was just a thought. Your probably right.

  • LAWLZ the kids near the camera are like getting freaked out XDD

  • They probably should have had a lot more tesla coils when doing this. just saying.

  • @thelittlestinfidelis that literal or are you.... XDDD srry a little pervy.

  • @awesomelightning I meant that it would have sounded better if there were more of them because there would have been more layers of sound.

  • @thelittlestinfidel I don't think that would be a good idea. These things are freaking loud. Any more of these size and you get a very sratchy, loud noise due to interference of sound amplitude, frequency, and source. :D

  • My friend is buying me a zeusaphone for christmas... this shall be my evil theme tune MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA -coughs, splutters, chokes, dies-

  • Oh Man, my favourite piece of music ever, done with high voltage, what could be better than this? Great work. 5*/thumbs up whatever. it is now. Nice One!

  • I'd like to meet the 2 'dislike' people, this is amazing, no scratch that its a nerdgasm!

  • Niiiice, but that fucking kid bitching about the "scary music" ruins it. Fuck, he's annoying.

  • okay, this is just awesome!!

  • how many frequencies can it play simultaneously? and how many overtones does each have?

  • @vincentizghra They're *capable* of at least two notes apiece, but that nearly doubles the amperage draw of each coil, so for now they're generally only asked to produce a single note each at any given time. Eventually someone will ramp up the plasma speaker concept, or will design some coils specifically meant to produce many frequencies simultaneously, and we'll really see the sparks fly (pun intended).

  • i wish I could be in the middle acting like I can command lightning with my will... like Emperor Palpatine.

  • I wish I could hook this up to a snes.

  • tesla coils make anything epic :3

  • How many times is that kid gonna say "Scary music"? Jeez.

  • Love the comments by the ppl

  • Its just the fugue but good stuff :D

  • @Beelzebob777 just the toccata actually

  • @bobchuseby indeed... dno why the fuck i wrote fugue... hmm... toccata*

  • They should play Bach's Fantasia and Fugue in G minor next.

  • this is only the Toccata, not the Fugue:)

    still, its pretty darn impressive:D

  • "Scary music"?

This is why Music needs to be a standard course.

  • This is how it was meant to be played.

  • I don't care if they're arcing, I wanna go touch them! I only get one life, I might as well die the way I lived. Dancing in arcing distance of a Tesla coil playing Bach.

  • XD Well, you'll get a Darwin award, at the very least. Godspeed.

  • Well, the amperage of it may not actually kill me.

I don't know what the zeusaphones run at, but a giant vandegraff generator can arc 10 feet without killing someone.

If I die, I'll get a Darwin award. If I live, I'll get the magnificent bastard award.

  • @MindlessInvalid These can put out at least 1,000,000 volts of electricity, if the ground was further away, it could arc further than 10 feet. A Van de Graff generator creates static electricity, these produce the same electricity that is seen in lightning. One of these can and most likely will kill you if you aren't careful.

  • @ClassOf200718 The amperage or frequency of the electricity is what I'm more worried about. Given the pitch of notes that they're playing (at least some indication of amperage given what I just said) In actuality I have serious doubts that that's a good idea. The good news is that I never seriously contemplating doing what I said.

  • That's it. I must have these.

  • There's no fugue there...

  • well i decided asturias would be great on tesla coils after listening to this

  • I want to shush the people talking near the camera.

  • Then do it

  • Fine, I will!

    "Shush, guys, electricity is happening."

  • @beriukay low culture of listening, nobody taught them it since school times.

  • @beriukay SKARRIE MOOSICK D::::::

    I lol'd. :P

  • Hmm... The other stuff with these things are much better. To do a piece like this they would need a few more I think. But hey, the other stuff is really great : )

  • These things have potential... Somewhat it might be a successor of the Hammond Organ - that would fit really great to rock...

  • Marha jó ez a videó.

  • Where's the evil scientist ... there has to be an evil scientist when playing this song and playing with large amounts of electricity

  • @FallingStuffy can't you see him plotting behind the computers

  • @FallingStuffy i TOTALLY agree!! LOL

  • @FallingStuffy I want to hear them do what I think of as a far more sinister pipe organ piece: the Toccata from Leon Boellmann's "Suite Gothique". This is no less cool, though.

  • @FallingStuffy He's behind the scenes laughing maniacally!

  • @FallingStuffy LAWLZ here I am!

  • @FallingStuffy aleast a mock frnkenstein monster in the middle

  • @FallingStuffy Dr. Zeus (Terry Blake) IS the evil scientist, and Steve Ward is his trusty minion. :D

  • lol @ comment "Scary music"
