Gotta love the old 4.6L 2Vs :D My first car had one and since then I have owned 7 of them and 2 4.6L 3Vs. Great little motors respond well to hot rodding tricks, durable, good mileage, and I think they are some of the best sounding motors ever with the right exhaust. It's A shame they are only in Econoline vans now (4.6L 2V)... I am excited about the new 5.0 though...
I'm not making fun of your truck. I'm just saying it doesn't take much power to do that. Ford's have no weight in the back anyway. I'm a Ford fan though, so don't get me wrong.. Nice truck anyway.
this guy doesnt have a limited slip...if it is then its pretty bagged and the clutches are stripped.... the reason u cannot is because stx are equipped with limited slip 8.8inch diff.... when working right you should never see one tire spin...aka making it harder to break them loose.. you could be on the brake too hard...try easing off the brake while in gear and floored..... my f150 with 4.6l lights em up fairly easy for being close to stock other them some bolt ons
No it's not a limited slip, but it does have 32inch tall AT's which makes it a little tougher to spin. I seen you "light em up" on that patch of slick tar on the road, that definetly makes it easier.
yes that just happened to be where i stopped....from inside the truck to the patch i left it was no different then on dry pavement. i could remake if u would like in the spring.
im planning on turbo (possibly twins) if not my original plan was procharger. gatta get my block built first, my snomobile needed a bunch of work so i blew some of my truck funds getting it running again. ill have it built by the summer tho.
i cant get my 4.6 to spin unless its wet. WHAT THE HELL

Once you get that 5.4 dropped in it won't matter what pavement you're on. You gonna put a supercharger on it?

hey since you straight piped it did you notice a significant amount of tq lose or anything ?

No, the 4.6 doesn't have alot of torque to start with. It did improve horsepower and revs better, plus sounds pretty sweet at high rpm.
