the firing test doesent help when the box is actually 5 inches away from the gun, also when you take off the air restrictors that makes them only travel 2 centimeters

the test is to show the speed of firing, which is effected by the battery . Taking out the restrictors only adds a little distance so its not really worth showing. Its just a quick easy mod for a little extra.

Those aren't the air restrictors, those are the pegs that support the darts, which tend to have only a small effect on the darts, unless it's built like the Maverick, with six bridges.

When you pull back the action, look at the white cylinder that comes out. The air restrictor is the two little things that poke out of the center.

Simple, the restictor is the webbing thing at the back of the belt. all you have to do is drill those out. It will give you a bit more distance and power, the main way to do this is to change batteries to a 9.6v.

i'm not sure if replacing the D size is better as it has more battery storage. but you could have a few 9 volt rechargeable batteries connected in parallel then your storage is greater which means less need to go charge out on the field.
