  • U must add ad audio input to your c64 for a good recording, videocard make a lot of noise! In order to make more clean sound you must remove the ground from the audio-in sid input :) (it should be work on the output too)

  • is this 8580 or 6581?

  • I could listen to a whole Scooter album in SID. :-)

  • ?OUT OF MEMORY

  • ?OUT OF DATA ERROR

  • Love this tune... i have recorded it whit the same program!! Check out my channel :D cheers

  • nice :) where can I download this player???? Could only found players for windows......but they would'nt run on my c64.

  • @michaelboett173 search on Google "Sidplay64", and if you click on "I'm Feeling Lucky" you should go directly to the download page of the latest version.

  • @OPortuges thanks.....Ok, this player is useless. I need one player which can open directorys. I want to save the whole HVSC on my sd2iec and there I can't need this player.

  • Personally, I think putting the 6581 into the NES would have been extremely limiting. While the NES's APU has no filter capabilities at all, it makes up for it by having 4 voices instead of 3, so that you could have three melodic voices and one for percussion rather than having to drop out a melodic voice just to do percussion sounds.

  • what is this thing ?!?

  • @bajachicken lol

  • really great, but 'no limit' could have been a little faster.

  • friends. lovely beat that 1

  • I think the sid chip should have been in the SNES or Genesis. Just think how megaman or shiobi woud have sounded.

  • Well, let's be honest, this isn't quite as good from SNES stuff like Super Metroid or Chrono Trigger. The SID would have been beastly in the NES, but by the 16-bit days it wasn't really state of the art anymore.

  • Obviously so. I meant that I like the sound this chip makes better. It has a sound that almost no other sound card at the time had.

  • AH, I see. I might not think the SID would have been best in SNES or Genesis, but I will agree it has a fascinatingly unique sound to it, even today.

  • The SNES used samples for music.I still love the SID sound over anything else.

  • what thaa.... heheheh.....?

  • the sid chip was magnificant, better than some of the 16 bit sounds
