Idk its hard to tell with this generation , anything is fine as long as the child can tell the difference between fantasy and reality ,when i was akid i watched all of the star wars including lord of the rings , add the fact i played games like grand theft auto ontop of that and im fine to this day. Also, Batman: TAS (finest animated show ever) had LOADS of serious issues, including drugs, insanity (as in specific disorders as opposed to general insanity), ecology, people dying, abuse, etc. Kids should deal with it.
I see what you're saying.. in terms of society norms i agree this show could use some editing to be made for kids. However.. i'm one of those people who don't mind children seeing the types of things shown in this video so long as it's not to gory or graphic.
Somehow it being cartoonish makes such things not a problem for me.

The show is basically geared towards the same audience the films are.
I'm actually surprised they let this on the air. After all, any animated show that DARES to take its audience seriously is screamed at by the Parent Groups.
And that's why I like this show. It isn't afraid to get a little dirty sometimes, like with the recent episodes about that clone-hating Jedi General, and the ones with Anakin and Ahsoka on a planet with a slavery-based empire.
The Clone Wars is not worthy of having Star Wars in front of it, the show ruins the actual story by George Lucas and replaces it with a shitty one it sucks the end

You know, aside from being insulting to kids, the idea that "Depictions of violence in the media make kids into mass murdering psychopaths" is basically a modern version of "Heresy will make ordinary people into Satan worshiping evildoers."
Pretty hard to do any serious stories without involving at least some violence as a plot device. You also want to teach history, you end up discussing wars, capitol punishment, psychotic theocracies, kids handle that just fine, why not this?

The channel goes Little Kids -> Kids -> Teens -> Adults.
Sadly the show still "behaves" like it was a kids show. @dangrievousreturns I admit Season 1 was crappy, whoever saw season 1 and didn't like it, I can agree with them. Season 2 was getting better, Mandalorians, new guys, someone would still stay meh'. Season 3, is started of very well with the Clones, and the end was very epic, with Chewbacca, Trandoshans, and the Citadel mission. Season 4, it has changed so much, it's just epic, and the episodes on Umbara were just amazing! Truly more than just some kids show, and your video proves it.

even though it's not meant for kids they still make merchandise from this FOR kids. that sucks, so apparently little boys and even girls can have Star Wars The Clone Wars T-shirts, but me, a teen can't?! since its pretty obvious that the rating for the show is like TV14 or something, but I can't have a simple tee? man, what has happened? but still it's my favorite show of all time, nothing can top this, except of course the movies, maybe...XD

You know, aside from being insulting to kids, the idea that "Depictions of violence in the media make kids into mass murdering psychopaths" is basically a modern version of "Heresy will make ordinary people into Satan worshiping evildoers."
Pretty hard to do any serious stories without involving at least some violence as a plot device. You also want to teach history, you end up discussing wars, capitol punishment, psychotic theocracies, kids handle that just fine, why not this?

@MrSneak31 The world has changed in the age difference im not arguing but in my opinion 13 is still pretty young to be showing violence too in some cases not all. However they should not be playing COD or GTA M for mature is 17+ and its not fun sometimes listening to screaming 13-14 year olds and ive seen 7 year old playing that its kinda sickening, but i do not disagree with you completly. Its the parents fault if they do this so young lol

On the other hand it have violence, blood and gore also. That was in the orginal films itself. Remember Episode 4? Where Obi wan slices of that guy's hand and blood spills out. And in Episode 5, Han cut off a stomech of an animal and push Luke in to it. (Eeve!)

That is next to nothing comparing to what I saw in TV when I was a kid.
But seriosely Star wars is a franchise to all the ages. It have kid-like stuff like Wizards, bad hooded guys, lazer swords, armoured guys, space battles etc. etc. Star Wars even start with a kidddy phrase. That "Long time ago.." prase is a big referece to fairy tales whcih starts with "a long time ago, in a ISLAND far far away..."

@rocker4rocker1 no thats wrong. the only movie he made for children was episode 1. every other movie was for alduts. with episode 1 he just wanted to get the younger generation to watch hes movies, because at that time, the only fans of star wars, have been the people who had seen Episode 4 - 6 in cinema. So what he needed was a new audience who would watch hes movies, after the old ones are gone. Thats why episode 1 was for kids, the other movies not.

Fact is a child would play and watching something for older people, but it almost never goes the other way around!

It's star wars... In every star wars movie someone dies or loses a hand (seriously, does lucas have a hand fetish?) and those movies are said to be fine for kids, I don't see why the animated series should be any different in that regard.

And because the show is CN and is animated standard viewers see it as a kids show.
This is a show that is on a channel that has little kiddies stuff before it and people assume that the epicness that the show could be is the same the other shows on the cartoon block.
GTA or the CoD series are games for older audience and is up to the parents to decide.

@dangrievousreturns Just because its animated doesn't mean its for kids. Look at the Simpsons, Family Guy, and South Park. Three good examples that not all animating is made for kids.
If parents can decide whether their kids play violent video games, then they could also decide if their kids can watch a show that's not only rated TV-14, but is viewed late at night. Just half an hour before Adult Swim starts.
The channel goes Little Kids -> Kids -> Teens -> Adults.

Sadly the show still "behaves" like it was a kids show. "Evil" guys (actually the CIS which isn't evil, but portrayed like it was in the show) always loosing and being complete fools, stupid kiddy jokes and the worst, the one who could have been the best and most threatening villain in the show, Grievous, made into a wimpy always loosing and escaping coward. Decide, kids-show or not, but like this it's just not right!

@dangrievousreturns I admit Season 1 was crappy, whoever saw season 1 and didn't like it, I can agree with them. Season 2 was getting better, Mandalorians, new guys, someone would still stay meh'. Season 3, is started of very well with the Clones, and the end was very epic, with Chewbacca, Trandoshans, and the Citadel mission. Season 4, it has changed so much, it's just epic, and the episodes on Umbara were just amazing! Truly more than just some kids show, and your video proves it.

Well sometimes...But the violence is not ment for Childeren but on the other side, the storyline is not meant for Died hard fans since they really make major changes in the Star Wars timeline. The Ventress and Savage Opress thing was really a crime, same for the Death of Even Piell.
