  • Nice and gay automatic. I can easily take that piece of shit in my Sentra lol.

Oh wait, I have already! Shifting at 4k RPM instead of 7k RPM.

  • any body say de like .... fuck u all

  • Lol c u l8ers suckers. thought they could handle a Veloster. coming form a Ceo.Brilliant 0.30

  • Its ok but whats the point...fuel efficiency, performance, price??? 40 combined mpgs, 0-60 in 4 secs, $10k msrp? ?? Nothin unique or special about this...3 doors so what. Make it a coupe or 4 door.

  • cool but have no money buds~~~~~~~

  • Comment removed

  • they have a mid aged hipster as ceo...good marketing

  • the bloomburg just wrote an artical about the new hyundai voloster and its says the voloster is much better car over all and years head of the old honda CRX lool

  • I LOVE MY YELLOW VELOSTER! BEST CAR EVER!! Thanks Hyundai.

  • did the president of hyundai just said...see you later sucker LOL

  • I bought my Lexus in 2008. Probably gonna keep it a while, but if I was buying now a days, I would strongly consider the Hyundais.....11+ years ago, Hyundai cars were a joke. Now a days, they've made a complete 180.

Great company now doing pretty great things for a low price point.

  • @dadoody

Actually I remember when my bother bought a Hyundai loaded for $11,000 famliy seden 15+ years ago, and it was a cheap piece of Asian grabage...

I just say one of these last month and I liked it and thought to myself I would drive that....

  • WOW are we promoting these 2 guys or the car cos why am i getting to see their faces but not much of the car.And can't they talk in back ground while car is being showned.

  • This car arrive to Puerto Rico like 3 or 4 days ago. Yesterday I went to the Hyundai dealer and I testdrive this car in six speed manual. The interior is great such as the exterior and is fun to drive! And I a little worried for the blind spots. Because here we don't get the backup camara and the sensors either! but have a nice cargo area and is spacious inside. This car is in my list. Excuse my English but I'm from Puerto Rico and we just speak spanish in here!

  • Great little car, the CEO is your usual dick...

  • see you later suckers!!??? lol... dork

  • 1.6L 138hp? Veloster? It looks fast, the name sounds fast, but its no where near fast. Veloser.

  • @sssukaPSN they gonna make it turbo yay i am waiting for that model to arrive

  • Veloster over CRZ

  • I pick mine up monday.

  • i would like this car so much more if it had a little more power. say around 150hp b/c 138 seems way underpowered when comparing to the weight

  • @AmazingSuperStar1 Go testdrive one. You will find it rather fast and fun. This car is not about road scorching but fun and practicality with unprecedented number of amenities. I also think it is great to have the longer driver's side door for easier access and 2 door for your friends. I want one.

  • saw it at a car show supper cool, but back window is a little small makking a bad blind spot but it was a crazy nice car

  • Another car that you can't turn off the lights. What a shame. The AMC Pacer was asymetrical too---with a longer door on the passengers side. At least you could turn off the lights.

  • Looks like CRZ but looks better. A coupe on the driver side and 2 doors for passengers UNIQUE!!!

  • I love how they grabbed the CRX part, and they actually did much better than Honda did with the CRZ....lol Shows that Hyundai is taking Hondas sales left and right!

  • @Acc0rd79 Even a man with a Honda brand in his NAME has to admit that Hyundai is doing better than its japanese rivals right now. rofl.

  • @lightssmith They've definitely have caught up and surpassed Honda as far as I'm concerned. Only problem is the stigma attached to Hyundai from the early days of the Stellar, and Pony. I was a proud owner of a Hyundai accent SR it had all the bells and whistles and I had a ton of Honda drivers check out my car and were impressed with the design, handling and right on down to the sattelite clarion 17 inch sub system.

  • @1163121totheend They're making mince meat of that thanks to reviews like these. The Equus, their $64K luxury sedan, is actually selling well, surpassing rolls royce and the jag XJ in sales even.

  • @Acc0rd79 agreed! I wanted to like the CRZ so much since it looked great and had a cool interior, but the power train scared me away. but the veloster does a much better job with the overall package. props to hyundai, they just keep on surprising.

  • man... hyundais done it again. this car is sooo unique yet practical and affordable i think it's going to be a major hit here in U.S. I was never a fan of Hyundai cars but the improvement they are making is hard to ignore and now they come up with a fuel efficient sports car.... what the fudge. hyundai has changed from copying others to coming up with totally unique and original. i am in a market for a new car and this one is on the top of the list.

  • @vsn119 correction, its not a sports car. it only looks kinda like a sports car. Unless you go for the turbo version, the 1.6L version is still not fast enough to be placed in the sports car category.

  • @vsn119 8.8sec 0-60 no where near a sports car. the Sonata is faster.....

  • @vsn119

not entirely 'original'. Many of them are image refresh and direct response to competition counterparts.

that and marketing and pricing were geared towards their target demographics. Much like Apple's tactic by marketing their simplicity. That combined with the crippled Japanese automakers and struggling American automakers at the time; the timing could never be any better. In other words, a well executed offensive to take the public's hearts. Nothing unique or original about that.

  • They both look like cock suckers

  • @demarcos69 Right? I was waiting for them to suck each other's dick lmao

  • @jesus160607 lol

  • Man, I want to kick that guy in the nuts. What a doosh...

  • @MagnaCarta81 Lol thats exactly what i was thinking... i just want to ram my foot in his junk

  • The driver looks like the ass hole who would steal candy from a baby and be proud of it.

  • I want them to make a Veloster 2.0T, that would be sweet!!

  • sale going to drop because of this review

  • @tuanrav4 Stop spamming "Review, review, review" because this isn't a review, stupid. What review have you ever seen with the company CEO in the car? They're just driving, talking about the car, not reviewing it. And learn how to fucking spell.

  • go up yours own blessedogcock420 haahaaaa

  • actually the honda odessey will put this thing to same but we are not talking about speed here . you guy suck don't quick yours daytime job yours review suck

  • @tuanrav4 shame* quit* your*

  • these guy are mumbling reviews are horrible.

  • these guy are mumbling reviews are horrible.

  • 3:20 social side? That doesn't make any sense.

  • That looks like a Honda Insight

  • @DC89 How do you think Hyundai got so popular? By copying the Rest and and the Best and made it cheaper with more features.

  • Love his glasses!

  • man i love his sunglasses

  • The 3-door idea is fantastic. From driver's side , the car is a coupe. But from the passenger's side , there are 2 doors. Back door has a secret clunch just like the Guilietta or Honda Type-R. Fantastic idea. The vision of a coupe for driver , the functionality to easily step inside the back.

  • I'd prefer a reardoor on the driver's side. I hate longer coupe doors especially when trying to park in close quarters.

  • @NeoGee did you see the dutch banned hyundai veloster on youtube

  • the sun roof is large.. :D

  • @ouzts12 Its a Panoramic Moonroof.

  • The @1:49 the headlights are different.. All off the Veloster version I've seen have reflector housing.. Not projector. Hopefully the projectors are standard.

  • @Djonemore They will all be projector style

  • yeah i would buy and use it as an everyday driving car. very nice

  • Just let me know when its going to be available in the US. They say Sept. 2011. I went to the dealership last week and they said they didn't know when they were getting them. The guy actually ask me how do I know about it? What! SMH

  • @Keeeenaa15 Hyundai said within the next week on Twitter

  • @EvHzll Thank You I can't wait to test drive it. I hope it goes well because I already want it

  • cant wait till the turbo trim comes out , deff want this

  • they shouldve put the 1.8 in there, and made a "S" version or something with a turbo.

  • @shummyshum They're adding it next year

  • may look little bit like cr-z, but cr-z is hybrid and has less space

also 30 city and 40 highway is a really good numbers

  • I would not call this is a sports car but a sporty car feel for people who want some thing good on gas too. Not bad.

  • Look up 2002 Mazda Kasubi concept. Its no lie that Kia and Ford have worked together in the past. More obvious is the fluidic style shared between Ford, Mazda, Kia and Hyundai.

  • Nice car. I wish they went with a fully 4 wheel independent suspension instead of the of the beam suspension. But Beam suspension I guess is cheaper to make then a fully Independent suspension talk about cutting costs. Still a nice looking car I want the turbo version to come then I will decided between its competitors. Looking for to a full review.

  • Wa5t b4t wh6 g5ves a sh5t?

  • I didnt hear much about the car, had to mute it just seconds in.

  • the ones that buy bmw's to look cool are easy to sort out, they buy automatics and 318's

  • THAT LOOKS LIKE A Citroen DS3!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @IwantaLexusLFA the front looks like a DS3(don't have any Citroen in Canada tho=.="), I think the DS3 looks better imo, and the DS3 Racing @.@"

  • Comment removed

  • @IwantaLexusLFA the DS3 Racing are sold out....it's a limited edition, I think the problem with Hyundai is it's badge, saying you drive a Hyundai is like saying my life hasn't worked out as well as I hoped, couldn't afford some "better" brands, you know what I am saying?

  • Comment removed

  • @IwantaLexusLFA A) They don't, not doesn't LOL B) which sounds better? I drive a Mercedes/Audi/BMW or I drive a Hyundai/Kia

  • @HiFiReviewer If you have a small dick of course sounds better to say "I have a BMW/Mercedes" but mine is big enough and I can drive a Hyundai without problems.

  • Comment removed

  • @IwantaLexusLFA Good point. Driving an over priced car does not give you any more class. I love to drive one of these cars.

  • @HiFiReviewer If you're driving a BMW just to act cool, you have some self esteem issues.

  • @Zxceelxuz No, I mean, what sounds better to people, German cars naturally sounds like a much higher class than Korean, to most people at least.

  • @HiFiReviewer it happened because most of the people don't know much about the cars

they hear from other people that Germans are better, but do they really are?If' you'll make a data collection about what kind of cars mechanics have, pretty sure than majority would have cars from Asia.New Hyundai car less efficient in the class and some of the models even better looking and costs less,if you would make a research about Honda and Toyota when they came to US, people were even more skeptical

  • @alexlugovoy I live in Canada, we don't get as much model as you guys do down at the US I think

  • @HiFiReviewer I just drove one in Canada from a dealership.

  • @HiFiReviewer You need to go back to highschool where wearing a certain brand is so important to fitting in. lol

  • k so if the car ends up in a lake by any chance , the people in the back driver side are pretty much fucked because they have to wait for the other fuckers to get out first. very smart;),

  • @MUAZAFUCKA

Wow thats a dumb comment. Whats the difference with a car with 2 doors. You still have to wait for others to get out.

Are people really that dumb, or just dont understand.

  • I find vehicles like these very split personality. It's very economical, which is excellent in today's market with rising gas prices, but it also tries to be sporty. For Hyundai, I can't see it. Their previous attempts, say a Sonata 2.0T only came with an automatic transmission, robbing the potential from what could have been an excellent car. I can also see them missing their mark on this car as well. Also.. the doors. Why not be innovative in another area that will leave a lasting impression?

  • @soyntgo4it there is supposed to be a turbo in the high end model of the veloster and it is supposed to put out 208 hp

  • I saw this car in City Hunter and was like 'I have to see what this car is about'

Now that i have.. I Need to have this car! <3

  • it feels being disabled

  • I don't understand why they put a 3dr on this come its been done hello GM Saturn had the 3dr and they had so many water leaks with them. I like the concept of this car making it unique and making it, its own and not like every other car even though still has the same front end of its brothers. Slap a turbo in this thing an you got yourself a seller..

  • Damn I want this car....

  • Just bought this car. It is simply FANTASTIC! I love the interior and exterior design. It's full of fun toys. And has excellent fuel economy. It cost me ONLY 21,000$ ....(I know!!!)

  • was to show the Hyudai Veloster or two guys talking about the car?

  • i'd rather watch hot chicks driving this car than these two loser ahaha

  • Looks like a mishmash of shiiiit. I hope the wind doesn't dent your economy car or blow it away

  • What, this guy didn't want to give up the wheel?

  • @Moreoff it was a pre-production model

  • Drive your way

  • does the whole roof open up?

  • This car is pretty nice. I live in Brazil and i might buy one. The thing is in Brazil cars are way too expensive. No reason but greed. This car here, in US dolars is set around $50k

and the minimun wage is set aroung U$ 369,33 . So, this car is equal to 135 minimun wage in Brazil. Terrible.

  • Damn, this is more of a modern CRX than the CRZ is. Plus it's more powerful, gets better milage, and will probably be cheaper as well. Looks are subjective though, so I'm not going to comment on that.

  • LOOK AT WHAT HYUNDAI HAS DONE, the rest of the world better take note, if they havent all ready:)

  • check wikipedia for this car. I believe they are coming out with a turbo model. 1.6 turbo 208 HP.

  • A turbo hot hatch version would be nice

  • Hmmmm elantra coupe turbo? Or a veloster turbo.... That is my question.

  • thearmedlife I wouldn't call the 1.6l gamma engine ancient by any means. How many comparable engine use direct injection right now. A good example of and ancient motor would be the L67 (3.8l v6) from my 04 monte carlo, single cam and push rods with an iron block and heads. plus the original design dates back to the 60's. the turbo veloster may very well be my next and first new car.

  • Elantra should have had the front fascia of this car. Just my opinion

  • @Jabid21 Yikes. No in hell that will be a good match. You opinion has gone freakish.

  • Honda is much better than this korean junk. Lets see who is sucker in the end. A Hyundai owner of a Honda owner?

  • @zorkor No need to call Korean junk... besides u arab fucks don't make any shit... only know to leech the world with gas prices...

  • @zorkor Honda is getting worst.. wake up.. and the reliability getting worst also.. they should improve

  • Hahahahaha. I think all 76 "dislikes" were clicked at 0:34.

  • nice car go head Hyundai

  • Very nice car!!

  • They really need a audio clean up on this video.

  • pricing at the OHIO training class is 16,300.00 base and goes up and... NO... it wont go up to 24,000.00.it will be here in AUGUST ..If they do a bigger Eng. they say capping it at 22,.....See u later suckers

  • @Newsage1 Ok..you have pricing and specs no one else has. Right. And thanks for the editing advice.

  • front end and dash look just like the the elantra. however putting the accent motor in it was a horrable ideal thats a ''sports coupe'' come on we're gonna need to see a lil more than 138hp.

  • "see u later suckers in the odessey!" lol

  • anyone notice how awkward their conversation was? lol

  • @Kniitte lol I was thinking the same thing!

  • front looks like an LF-a

  • i like the car but i don't like the vid

  • It wont sell if it goes much over 20k, then your in Genesis coupe territoy.

  • tbh this guy doesn't do much in the creation of the car because its made and designed in korea.

  • front looks amazing

  • the only bad thing is they say $18,000 price tag, odds are its going to be $25,000 by the time they decide to release it

  • @Brendon00000 No one will by a 1.6 liter engine with 138hp for $25k.

  • @johnherrera305 no actually the 1.6 liter 138hp model should be going around $18,000-20,000 just like how affordable their other cars are, even the later turbo model with over 200hp will only cost $24,000, i'm already planning on getting one I prefer the non turbo because its like a newer version on my beloved car

  • @Brendon00000 Me too...planning on getting one for early October. Hope I like it after my test drive>

  • @johnherrera305 even though the NA version is nice as a 1.6 for a daily commuter fun car I wish hyndai made a 2.0 liter option, this was supposed to kill honda, in ways of style and fuel economy yes, but honda had the famous k20a engine with 220hp out of a 2.0 if hyundai could get 200hp from a NA 2.0 liter I would be the happiest guy on earth lol

  • I like everything about it, the engine size, hp, style, pricetag, etc, im a proud second gen crx owner and weve been waiting for a replacement, honda made a crz and failed horribly, this is perfect

  • looks like it might have a wicked blind spot. I dont think it is ugly by any means and I do like it otherwise. the third door in the design is really neat if your used to two door designs and dont want to climb over a seat to get in the back but dont want to go for a full on sedan. nice job hyundai. I would buy it.

  • This car was not meant to be conventional.... It is OK to see people not know what to think about it, because it is not something common..... I believe this is car for people that think out of the box and can see beyond what has been established from before.... To be Honest, I would buy this car with no doubts, and use it as my daily driving car. I do like it.

  • @wtrdogg20 The question is whether or not to think outside the box but to question where our perception of the box even is...

  • this guy is like Micheal from the office, with that "see you later suckers"

  • That is one fugly car. The rear is fine, the front is frankenstien ugly.

  • Looks claustrophobic and road noise sounded very loud.

  • @cabrioglx Actually, reviews have been trickling in from Europe and indicate the car has plenty of head and leg room, and cabin sound isolation is on the level of cars much more expensive.

  • The jellybean rounded front end looks less sporty to me than the Accent or Elantra, which makes no sense to me. The rear is bordering on homely, in my eyes. I don't want the navigation. Built in nav is a total waste of money. Considering it is similar in size and power to the Accent, I'd rather save several thousand dollars and buy the Accent hatchback. Less gimmick, less money, better looks, and more practicality.

  • they say it will start "around" $17k, which probably means $17, 500. add destination, and you get to $18,200 -ish.

BUT, that will be the manual transmission. hyundai, honda, toyota just dont believe in making these, so the veloster that everyone will really be seeing will start at about $20k.

  • i like the back half. the front end is a mess. it looks like 10 different pieces all slapped together.

  • An ugly, cheap Hyundai... only americans can like this :P

  • @madant1977 It looks like something an american manufacturer would make and say its "aggressively sporty". USA car companies cant create anything that looks great except the camaro.

  • Nice to see someone has updated my 1984 Honda Si coupe. I wonder how comfortable this is for my 60 year old body.

  • I see a bunch of Veloster's outside in their parking lot in FV, CA. Looks nice.

  • oDTheTruth, lol are you talking about the cadillac, i have to tell you a true story, my dad got a cadillac for $20,000 a real beauty on the outside but a disaster waiting to happen, suddenly things slowly stopped working, the transmission, all electrical, windows the bose stereo, etc, the bill was

more than the car, the end, cadillac is tue most unreliable crap there is

  • armondm, you should learn your cars and engines cause frankly hyundai and kia (korean) have now successfully killed off all japanese competition, the veloster just replaced my honda crx which honda tried to do with the crz and failed horribly, veloster and every other new hyundai is amazing except maybe the new accent, looks like a damn kia rio that costs the same as an elantra

  • And this CEO guy...WHAT A TOOL

  • It looks shitty because the car look shitty period.

It's a mish-mash of crap that they tried to make look good but it doesn't work.

It's just another oil-burner....the last thing we need these days.

People should be ALOT more critical nowadays with what's under the hood instead of what's covering the chassis. We need better technology in the powerplant areas...by leaps and bounds...not by this incremental bullshit we're seeing today.

  • @armondm Just because it doesn't look like a boring jap car or a ugly bankrupt detroit crap, doesn't mean is ugly.

  • This Video = PR Spin Machine YO!

  • Looks like a pieces !

  • this is nothing like the aztek, how would I know because to me the aztek is the ugliest car of all time, however tue back of this is similar to my crx, want to talk about ugly cars how about the 2012 civic, with its huge ugly ass, ugly price tag, and bad fuel economy, aswell acura is ugly, hyundai is not ugly

  • its hilarious because honda a little while ago made te crz to replace the crx and they failed badly mainly because of it being hybrid and overpriced I own a honda crx and this is a true replacement, the design is so hyundai, the engine is a perfect 1.6 with 138hp similar to my crx, the color is awesome and it gets the kind of mileage of a hybrid, hyundai is doing incredible, genesis, elantra, accent, tuscon, sonata, vera cruz, santa fe, and now veloster, If i plan on getting another car its a v

  • if that is the base model, i would take one!

  • just an aside--BURN NOTICE fans--does the passenger not look like Michael Westin's nerdy brother?

  • @breesheep lmao!!!!!

  • I can look at this car and say "Ugly"
