John Garang was killed by Uganda as part of a deal between Bashir and Uganda involving the LRA. Bashir armed and sheltered the LRA in Sudan. In return the LRA had to help Khartoum fight the SPLA. When the SPLA and Khartoum signed a peace deal Bashir didn't need the LRA anymore and used them as a barging chip with Uganda. Bashir would expel the LRA if Uganda would make sure that John Garang would get an "accident". Which is exactly what happened.

The United States unfortunately and even Obama should have killed Bashir a long time ago. The Northerners are also not giving the full oil revenue to southern Sudan. @stopevil what supprises me the most is that no one seems to make the connection with the LRA and the fact that the Garang's "helicopter of death" departed from Kampala. Al-Jazeera made a documentary recently about the LRA-Khartoum connection (they even verified with witnesses the rumour that the LRA had tried to re-establish contact with Khartoum again in southern Darfur recently). But even Al-Jazeera missed the obvious link between the 2005 expulsion of LRA from Sudan and Garang's assasination
@zee2011 , from 1983-2005 the Arabs (including mixed arab and Black who deny their black blood) of the NIF commited genocide against Southern Sudanese who are not mixed with Arabs. Dr. Garang was an extremly intelligent black man. He received a PHD and was trained in military tactics in the U.S. so what I mean by "he saved" is that without his leadership the indigenous African sudanese of the south would never have been able to defeat the northern aggressors
@zee2011 , All of my Southern Sudanese friends have told me that if it wasn't for Dr. Garang, they would have been slaughtered by the North who were trying to Arabize and Islamize the Africans but they don't want arab culture, they want their own african culture such as Nuer, Dinka, Shuluk, etc, I'm not promoting anti-arabism, but pro-Africanism because thousands of years before Islam Africans had their own culuture, language and they land was their's, Arab/Islam is not traditional African.
