It should be worth it when it is done, but MAN!, getting the string length just right versus tightening the nut onto the string anchor, which changes the string length is a pain...still haven't gotten it to cooperate. Won't give up though! :)
i am debating purchasing this, will it work with 17 caliber cases? meaning cases with a diameter of .172 or does it only work with .224 diameter or greater.
Just started swagging with the 600, while the height and depth are adjusted ok I am having a problem with it lining up left and right, there's play when sitting on the case locator rod (223 and the small rifle rod). It will often damage to the left or right of the prime... did you make any modifications for this? I can't do it nearly that fast because I have to make sure it's in line.
@dmarlo I anchored the rubber band on the right side of the video as pictured and wrapped it around the thumb/flip up/down tab several times and anchored it on the other side to get an even pull down. That made the side to side problem go away.....get the string length JUST RIGHT to pull down before the swager mandrel gets in the way, yet leaving enough it to do it's work is ...."fun."
okay i have a question i am using a superswage 600 and it doesnt seem to be getting the crimp COMPLETELY out! i have to pull the lever two times and then rotate and do it twice more but the crimp is still there. any suggestions? some are 08 some are 06, 05, 07 some are 223, or 302???? should i see more brass coming out because all i really see are thin shavings

@3amy11 If you look under the video statistics listing websites linked to this video I posted detailed threads on CanadianGunNutz, AR15 and TheHighRoad that have lots of photos.
You can see it where the string is looped around the handle, where the knot is. Without it the string would get caught around the bottom edge of the handle as it is moved and eventually breaks.

What is the silver sleeve around the cartridge holding shaft? My 600 doesn't have that.

@madriverarms It's just a piece of masking tape.

If dillon would have thought of that then they could have charged another 50 bucks for that tool

You are no genius for thinking of that.
The rest of the world is a bunch of idiots for not thinking of that.

Ok so I get all of this, but the washer part... can you describe how/where the washer is used? Great idea, I'd have never thunk it.
