Thank you SO SO much for this video! It really helped me. But one question, do you remember why carbon dioxide and hydrogen made a homogenius mixture? @ 6.20 :) hopefully you'll remember, otherwise it's okay! thanks again !
@SiiiMei They are both gasses so when they are mixed you can't see the difference between the two. Remember that if you can't see a difference between the two (without a microscope) then it is most likely a homogenous mixture.
Hey! I am a science teacher, and I like your chart for the hierarchy of matter way better than mine, so I'm telling my students to throw theirs out today and make a new one. Thanks!
@Stoptherobots This makes me so surprised. I just drew something up really quick. I hope that your students find it helpful. I'm an elementary education major and love to hear that I am helping another teacher in their classroom. :D
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE CAN YOU DISCUSS FUELS (HYDROCARBONS, COMBUSTION, FORMATION OF CRUDE OIL, ETC). I LOVE YOUR CHEMISTRY VIDEO! THEY HELP ME SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH.
@elinkton I'm sorry. I don't post anymore videos about science. It was just something brief that I did to help me study. I've forgotten most my chemistry. I'm useless now when it comes to science.
An Oxford University student with a Medicine PhD, two chemistry teachers and my father who studied Chemistry through out his entire school years couldn't teach me this. You taught me this in under 8.06. Well done to you, I am so grateful!
Oh I seen this video last... Lol.... You really should pursue a career in teaching chemistry.... You would so rock it.... I've learned so much in the 20 minutes of watching your videos than my professor.... Thanks for the vids!
@7eli2010 haha. Yeah. I realized that, but I never thought anyone would even ever watch these videos so I didn't redo them. Most of these are on the spot as far as what I'm saying. Talking about chem is hard. I look back at these videos now and I'm like, "What the heck? I can hardly remember what that means anymore!" Lol. I'm done with chem now though, thank God. I'll never have to ever do anything like this again for school.
can you do a unit analysis problem that require converting from minutes to distance like km? if an airplane flies at the speed of sound 343 meters per second what is the speed in miles per hour?
Pure substances combine to make compounds. Such as H2O. Also compounds can form more complex compounds such as ammonium nitrate NH4NO3. Basically anything that has more than one element (or letter) is a compound.

I loved your mixture example.(PRETZEL) It help me to understand the differences between compound and mixture.
Thank you.
