  • I think the Everly Brothers version was better on the Two Yanks in England LP. I remember first hearing it on the radio in Buffalo, New York. The DJ at WKBW radio said "Thats from a new album by the Everly Brothers. I think you'll like it." I love the album. Other exceptional songs on the LP were "The Collector" and "Hard, Hard Year." Along with some others the Hollies did a great job backing up the brothers on this LP.

  • I´d always prefered the B-side...

  • This song was also recorded by the Everly Brothers on their 2 Yanks In England album, with the Hollies providing the musical back-up. Probably the best song on that album. Love the harmony on both versions.

  • Yeah, criminally overlooked -- amazing harmonies!

  • I sang this song in Kintergarden for the class in 1979. My Mom had this single. All the other kids were singin nursery rhymes, I was singin whatever was in my Moms records. I about freaked them out when I did eric burdons Sky Pilot, complete with sound effects and all. lol. It was quiet and I think I scared a few parents too.

  • @DXPunx74 Hehe....nice little story that!

  • Thanks for posting this gem , If you like Hollies B-Sides buy a great CD called "The Other Side Of The Hollies" . I know Jim was wondering if it was on an album. This song is included on the set.

  • One of the best b sides ever!!!! This is why you should never ignore your b sides!!

  • Thanks took Dad back to 1967. When he used to frequent a cafe with a juke box near Bournemouth railway station called the Corral and this was in the juke box along with see "Emily play" pink Floyd and others he said good times first job and all that £5 a week he used to earn . Which folks is the equivalent to a staggering £68.45 today in the on line inflation calculator.

  • Too good to launguish on a b side...should have been on an album
