Any "agreement" under the current course would require fracturing the Palestinians in a way that divides the West Bank from Gaza, and the West Bank from the Diaspora; while only requiring of Israel that it behave in accordance to international law, which should already be required of it.

Ultimately, the division of Gaza and the West Bank will not serve Israelis well in the long term. It makes a truly viable two state solution virtually impossible and guarantees the eventual imposition of a single state over both the Palestinian and Israeli peoples.

If Israel had been willing to accept the '67 borders and compensation (which would've been basically paid for internationally, not by Israel) and compensation for the refugees, they could've had peace since '68.
