  • @saren1994 ...dude, that track is sick!

  • i just ordered this and i'm so happy i've got an AM3 for the installation.

  • @0neweak grats on your new cooler! they look really cool once installed!

  • @BoxeoP4P thanks, man.

installation was very easy on AM3 (easier than this).

benched black ops, bad company 2 and stalker call of pripyat with coretemp running and it never went above 51ºC with my Phenom2 X4 965 (note: i used arctic silver 5 instead of the bundled thermal paste). really quiet, too. 5 out of 5 for me.

  • @0neweak sweet! thanks for sharing your results with us 0neweak and keep in touch!

  • Anybody have any tips for installing this thing? It's not as easy as the tutorial makes it look because you have to remove the motherboard from the case, and then disconnect most wires. Is there a way to install to an 1156 socket without removing the motherboard from the case? If not, seems like a poor design to me.

I realize the difficulty in designing sturdy flaring fasteners, but that doesn't mean it's should be ignored.

  • @sirhomer251 Hey homer, unfortunately unless your actual computer case has a removable motherboard tray (not likely) or a large open area/hole where the CPU bracket is, you will have to remove all the components from the motherboard, unscrew ALL the screws, then remove the motherboard from the motherboard tray & case. Only then can you start to install the 1156 or any other intel mounting bracket.

  • @sirhomer251 If you aren't sure if your motheboard tray has a open hole for the cpu cooler, open the side panel of your case that is behind the motherboard. If there is a large hole directly behind the CPU socket, you are mostly likely in luck...

  • Thank you :)

  • @Nihio your welcome!
