Lots of people just criticize some facts without actually knowing what is behind what they see.

Lyndsey Vonn is a great skier and the facts prove it. You got to know very good what the effort and life is like behind a person like her, and then you can give your opinion.

skiing fast is definitely hard. you need control, focus and flexibility to do this.

she put down an amazing run to win the downhill

but the next day she was leading after the first run in super combined but then fell during the slalom portion with the gold medal almost around her neck

she was expected to win gold on super g but admits not skiing hard enough on the lower portion of the course

then she crashed on giant slalom and slalom

Nobody who knows anything about skiing ever believed that Lindsey could have made a medal sweep because nobody on the circuit was that good and that includes Lindsey.Alpine skiing is not swimming for goodness sake!It is much much tougher.

Maybe you should listen less to media hype and educate yourself more on the sport to know what is possible and what is not before you start talking about who chokes.This kind of talk comes out of sheer ignorance about what the sport is all about.

and she didnt give "my" country two medals cause im from fucking canada

my point was, despite her two medals, she didnt ski as well as she would have liked at these olympics

Reputation matters little in olympic alpine skiing.That is the first thing you gotta know.Olympics has it's own rules that makes it no respecter of any reputation.Anybody can win the medal at the olympics.Many medal favourite alpine skiers failed to nail any in this games.10 possible gold medals won by 9 different alpins skiers.That should give you a small impression just how tough alpins skiing is at the olympics.

Lindsey Vonn makes skiing look so easy. It is a very dangerous sport though. In some of these events, there is just a thin sheet of tissue paper that separates life from death. It is very easy for something to go wrong, just like with the sled accident nearly two weeks ago. A 21 year old was instantly killed when he flew off the track right before the finish line.

Yuk. What a pain Lindsay Vonn is. Fancy calling her "Vonncouver". She should get some humility and grace like Julia Mancuso, who was robbed of her own chance of a gold medal because of Vonn's crash. The whole celebrity thing around people like Vonn is just pathetic. Great skiers like Stenmark and Killy are forgotten, even though they were so much faster and better than Vonn.
