  • DUDE.... You have to go to the next verse ~ The Three Things are repeated by Jesus himself! They are the next three things that he said!

  • Thomas and the other Nag Hammadi texts are for me the missing link...among the world's great texts of wisdom. The canonical bible simply doesn't resonate for me on any level, and to see the numerous connections between these gospels, Buddhist texts, Taoist texts, the Hermetic Qabbalah, etc.--good stuff. They also compliment discoveries in quantum physics.

  • its like the quran, it gives cryptic messages open towards different obsure interrperetations and muslims say there can be no centralization, everyone has their choice on what the quran interprets... its not like the boring bible we have now that's straight forward and plain...

  • What book is that exactly that you read because I have print outs of the "gospel of thomas" but I have never found a book. I am intrigued by what you read from because it seems to have more content then just the gospel of thomas. I hope you don't mind me asking! Besides this, this video is great not only the verse and your comments but also the birds!!

  • Re: Verse 13

According to the book "Disappearance of the Universe" the three things Jesus said privately to Thomas were:

    1. You dream of a desert, where mirages are your rulers and tormentors, yet these images come from you.

    2. Father did not make the desert, and your home is still with him.

    3. To return, forgive your brother, for only then do you forgive yourself.

  • do you think thats what he said? Its not a fair question nor one to be actually answered, but it makes sense. i want to read the disappearance book for sure. I feel like when we eliminate the carnal mind on a daily basis is when what this book says that Jesus told Thomas becomes manifest

  • this is very cool. keep opening those gnostic texts and spreading the word of God that has been suppressed and hidden from us for all these years!!!!

  • Number 13 is the true numer of LOVE, seek and you shall find.

  • "Compare me to something and tell me what I resemble?".

You are like Moses and you resemble THAT Prophet of God that was promised. (Deut18:18), should be the answer if they knew the prophecy.

If Thomas had told them that Jesus was that prophet the others would have stone him but the others would "burn" for it is the truth.

    QED.

  • My dear bretheren keep seeking all you this, and you will find what our Father of Light

has shown me. do not stop seeking until you find it, but you must find out who you truly are

  • Such a beautiful day

  • Jesus and his disciples =13 some say unlucky I say special.

  • Look at the back of the American dollar Bill, you'll see a pyramid with an eye at the top, count the layers and you'll see there are twelve layers and the thirteenth is the eye at the top.

There are Twelve constellations around No. 13. The Sun.

There's more to this number than meets the eye.

  • I doubt it was ever cast out. They probably have his actual book that he wrote deep in some safe.

  • In fact, it was common practice in the ancient world to provide a simpler set of teachers for the common public while having a more complex, more advanced, "mystical" set of teachings for a smaller, more specialized group. Many religions, though, have suffered from the expulsion of the latter.

  • drat, just accidentally removed your middle comment when trying to respond to it. you said basically that The Bible as now compiled should be seen as a primer of core texts, but that the Apocrypha should be seen as suitable for deeper study. My hope is that most Christians would consider this. It is certainly unorthodox (by definition), but that doesn't mean it's worthless or "scripted by Satan".

  • At the heart of the true Christian tradition is a unitive knowledge of and profound relationship with God, and, I feel, the Gospel of Thomas very effectively works towards that. Just because the ancient church fathers didn't see fit to include it by no means implies that it is useless.

  • If you haven't already, you should watch the 'Stigmata' movie. It explains the gospel was cast out because its words, when known to the public, would crumble the foundations of the church itself. Verse 77 is direct proof of the claim that one does not need church.

  • One is both the mirror and the reflection, the sound and the echo, seek not to return energy or noise, but to give light and voice.

    BL*M
