I found a baby wood thrush today on my porch, the cats have killed both the mum and other babies. I cant take it to a center, long story. So Ive been fedding it this basically minus the cuttlebone. And hes been doing fine for a few days. But today he keeps stopping and stretching his neck out. and looks really languid. Whats going on? I feed him the right amounts and at the right times. Ive been doing research. Help?
@ShenaniBanani No I mean do you keep him inside or outside? If you keep him inside, he will end up with metabolic bone disease if he doesn't have a real sunlight grow light. Without the cuttlebone that provides the necessary calcium for the bones which the sunlight (by providing natural vitamin D) helps the calcium reach the bones. 3 days without sunlight and calcium and bones start breaking, organs begin to fail....
would a robin adopt a baby starling? 3 baby starlings fell out of a high nest and no where is mama bird but luckily a robin nest nearby. fed it canned dg food-and a couple worms and now they are sleeping hopefully mama robin will adopt. by the way,one bird died on impact from the nest. what should i do?
You can also give an isectavor bird minsed meat best beef....And when you get the chans bye insectavor rasing mix that has instruction on what to do....Any way goog video....I hope it helps alot of people that are trying to feed baby birds....

@MissDolittle I made a makesift nest from tissue and cloth in a shoe box and cut a hole in the top. He used it just like a nest.
